Bio

Hi there! My name is Yassmin! Thank you for visiting my page! I am a courageous truth seeker, Mental Health advocate & fighter for health equity currently on a path to earn my Masters of Science in Acupuncture, Herbalism & Nutrition to improve the standard of Health & Wellness in the country. I found my way to Acupuncture in a Determined quest for solutions to heal my own health challenges w/ major depression, debilitating stomach pain, heart flutters, frequent nosebleeds & brain fog. I became so inspired by my own healing that I returned to school to study Chinese Medicine & Herbalism in order to offer the opportunity for healing to others. The path that my passions have led me still fascinates me--From my extensive experience w/ Boldly leading Medical Missions in Central America, to Mentoring students in an Urban Farming initiative, to Spearheading a healthy food shopping initiative for the Dept of Health, to conducting Neurogenesis brain research--I am proud to say that these experiences have shaped who I am today: they've Moved me to discover my lifelong passion for Wellness & Advocacy. My goal following my education is to EMPOWER others by creating a community network that prioritizes health & wellness at every level for EVERY person. My dream is to create a non-profit Wellness organization in order to bring quality food, Nutrition, Acupuncture, Herbs, Mental health counseling services & other Healing modalities to communities that are effected by inequitable access to healthcare & wellness services because I believe WE ALL DESERVE to lead healthy fulfilling lives.

"Hola Doctora, Here's a list of all the medication we've collected, I also have the list of school supplies and hygiene supplies". I [pictured with the green shirt] Boldly planned my first, of many, Medical Mission to Honduras with a group of thirty classmates. Over the course of six months We gathered all of the medication through donations, booked flights, and raised money to go. We met our goal of seeing 2,000 patients during the seven days that we were there. It is still the most prominent experience I've had in my life; its shaped my commitment to community service.
