Revolutionizing Robotics and Computer Sciences Scholarship
In today's ever-evolving world, the notion of learning is undergoing a profound transformation. As child of Eritrean immigrants and s a senior pursuing a degree in computer science, I have had a front-row seat to the limitations of the traditional education system. It's become evident that a formal degree no longer guarantees competency, and conversely, the absence of a degree doesn't signify incompetence. In light of Loupe's mission to revolutionize and empower under-recognized individuals, I am deeply motivated to see a revolution in the way we approach learning, not only in the tech and computer science field but across all domains.
The traditional education system, while undoubtedly valuable, presents significant challenges, particularly for low-income individuals and aspiring immigrants with a keen interest in specific subjects. It often operates within rigid structures that do not always align with the rapidly changing demands of various industries. This can create a rift between theoretical knowledge gained through academia and the practical skills needed in the real world. A significant portion of my computer science expertise, which has rendered me a potentially employable candidate, was self-acquired through personal study. It's imperative to ensure that individuals, regardless of their economic backgrounds or immigration status, can access the education and skills they need to succeed.
I imagine a significant change where we prioritize skills and abilities more than formal qualifications in all areas of study. The tech industry is known for valuing hands-on expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills. However, our current education system tends to give more importance to academic credentials like degrees and certificates rather than practical know-how. This can be particularly challenging for people with limited income and immigrants who might struggle to afford formal education. A solution that is becoming popular is massive open online courses (MOOC) that cover a wide range of subjects and provide them for free to everyone. This sharing of knowledge ensures that anyone, regardless of their financial situation or immigration status, can use high-quality educational resources. Open-access courses should be expanded to cover every field of study, giving individuals the freedom to learn at their own pace and tailor their educational journey, whether it's in computer science, literature, engineering, or any other field.
With that being said there needs to be a fundamental shift in the hiring process across all sectors, where employers focus on evaluating candidates based on their skills and experience, rather than primarily relying on academic degrees. This shift would open doors for individuals from low-income backgrounds and immigrants with a passion for their chosen subjects to demonstrate their competencies and compete in the job market based on their abilities and dedication. With this envisioned revolution, learning and competence should be a lifelong journey, and traditional educational institutions should coexist with alternative pathways to ensure accessibility and inclusivity. This transformation promotes equity in education and employment, offering opportunities for people from all walks of life to excel in their chosen fields.
The revolution I envision is not confined to the tech and computer science fields but extends to every area of knowledge and expertise. Competence, not credentials, should be the primary criteria for employment, and accessible education pathways, including open-source courses, should be available to all. This would create a more inclusive and equitable approach to education and employment, eliminating the barriers that low-income individuals and immigrants often face in pursuing their passions and interests. Loupe's commitment to revolution aligns perfectly with this vision, and I am eager to contribute to this journey toward a world where competence and dedication are the true measures of success, regardless of one's economic circumstances or immigration status.

Cyrilla Olapeju Sanni Scholarship Fund
As a child of Eritrean parents who immigrated to the United States, I have seen firsthand the challenges that immigrants and their families face when adjusting to a new country. For my family, the greatest challenge we faced was the language barrier. My parents spoke very little English when they first arrived in the US, which made it difficult for them to communicate with others and navigate the complex systems of this new country.
Growing up, I often served as a translator for my parents, helping them communicate with teachers, doctors, and other professionals. It was a role that I took on with pride, but it also came with its own set of challenges. As a child, I struggled to understand some of the more complex language used by professionals, and I often felt overwhelmed by the responsibility of being my parents' only link to the outside world.
Despite these challenges, however, I believe that the language barrier ultimately shaped me into the person I am today. It taught me the value of communication, and it made me appreciate the importance of language as a means of connection and understanding. It also made me realize the importance of education and the role that it can play in empowering individuals and communities.
As a result of my experiences, I often felt isolated and discouraged, struggling to keep up with my classmates and feeling like I was falling behind. However, instead of giving up, I used these difficulties as an opportunity to work harder and become more resilient. I have become passionate about language learning and cultural exchange. I have taken on leadership roles in my school's language clubs, organized cultural events to celebrate diversity, and volunteered as a language tutor for students who are struggling to learn English. These experiences have given me a sense of purpose and a desire to make a difference in the world.
Receiving the Cyrilla Olapeju Sanni Scholarship would be a tremendous honor and would provide me with the financial support I need to continue pursuing my dreams of higher education. It would also give me the opportunity to connect with other African students who are facing similar challenges and to work together to make a positive impact on our communities. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to apply for this scholarship and am committed to using my education and experiences to make a difference in the world.

Driving under the influence (DUI) is a serious problem that can have devastating effects on individuals, families, and communities. The effects of DUIs are far-reaching, and they can cause physical, emotional, and financial harm.
Firstly, DUIs can lead to serious injuries and fatalities on the road. Impaired drivers have slower reaction times, reduced coordination and impaired judgment, making them more likely to cause accidents. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), drunk driving crashes cost the United States $44 billion per year, and this figure does not even account for the emotional and physical pain caused by these accidents.
Secondly, DUIs can result in criminal charges and legal consequences. Drunk driving is a serious crime that can result in fines, imprisonment, and suspension or revocation of a driver's license. These consequences can have a significant impact on the individual's personal and professional life.
Thirdly, DUIs can have lasting emotional effects on families and communities. Losing a loved one to a drunk driving accident can be devastating and can cause long-lasting emotional trauma. Families and communities may struggle to come to terms with the loss and may experience financial difficulties as a result of medical expenses and lost wages.
To prevent DUIs, it is important to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving and to promote responsible drinking practices. Strategies that can be used to prevent DUIs include:
1. Designated drivers: Encouraging individuals to choose a designated driver who will not drink alcohol and will be responsible for driving them home safely.
2. Public transportation: Promoting the use of public transportation, such as buses, trains, and taxis, as a safe alternative to driving under the influence.
3. Sobriety checkpoints: Conduct sobriety checkpoints to deter drunk driving and catch impaired drivers.
4. Ignition interlocks: Installing ignition interlock devices that require drivers to pass a breathalyzer test before starting their vehicle.
5. Education and awareness campaigns: Providing education and awareness campaigns to inform the public about the dangers of drunk driving and promote responsible drinking practices.
By implementing these strategies, we can work to prevent DUIs and honor the life of Anthony McPherson by promoting safe driving practices and supporting students pursuing careers in media arts, technology, or the automotive industry.

One book that has transformed my life is "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankl. This book is a memoir of Frankl's experiences as a concentration camp prisoner during World War II, and his observations on the human search for meaning and purpose.
The book is divided into two parts. The first part describes Frankl's experiences in the concentration camps, including the brutal conditions he endured and the loss of his loved ones. The second part is a philosophical exploration of the human search for meaning, based on Frankl's observations and experiences in the camps.
In the second part of the book, Frankl describes his concept of logotherapy, which is a form of therapy that focuses on helping individuals find meaning and purpose in their lives. He argues that this is the key to overcoming suffering and achieving personal growth and fulfillment. Logotherapy is a form of therapy developed by Viktor Frankl, an Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist. It is based on the belief that the primary drive in human beings is the search for meaning and purpose in life.
Logotherapy focuses on helping individuals find meaning and purpose in their lives, in order to overcome suffering and achieve personal growth and fulfillment. This is done through a variety of techniques, including self-reflection, journaling, and discussions with a therapist.
Logotherapy is considered a type of existential therapy, which focuses on the individual's unique experiences and struggles in the face of life's big questions and challenges. It is different from other forms of therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, which focus on changing an individual's thoughts and behaviors.
The book had a profound impact on me because it showed me the incredible resilience and strength of the human spirit. Despite the unimaginable horrors and suffering he endured, Frankl was able to find meaning and purpose in his life, even in the darkest of circumstances. This taught me the importance of finding meaning and purpose in my own life, and never giving up hope, even in the face of adversity.
The book also taught me the value of empathy and compassion. Frankl observed that the prisoners who were able to maintain their humanity and compassion towards others were the ones who were able to survive and find meaning in their experiences. This taught me the importance of treating others with kindness and understanding and always striving to be a better person.
Overall, "Man's Search for Meaning" has transformed my life by showing me the importance of finding meaning and purpose in life, and the value of empathy and compassion towards others. It has helped me to become a more resilient and compassionate person and has inspired me to never give up hope, even in the face of adversity. It is a powerful and thought-provoking book that explores the human search for meaning and purpose, and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. It is considered a classic in the field of psychology and has inspired and influenced countless individuals around the world.

Growing with Gabby Scholarship
Over the past year, I have grown in my ability to empathize with others. This growth was inspired by a series of difficult conversations I had with friends and family members who were going through tough times. These conversations made me realize that I had not been as understanding and supportive as I could have been in the past, and I made a conscious effort to improve in this area. Understanding others can benefit me in many ways. It can help me build stronger, more meaningful relationships with the people around us, which can in turn improve our overall happiness and sense of well-being. Understanding others can also help me resolve conflicts and disagreements more effectively, as it allows me to approach situations from multiple perspectives and find solutions that are fair and beneficial to all parties involved.
One of the biggest changes I have noticed in myself is that I now take the time to truly listen to others and try to see things from their perspective. This active listening can help me better understand the thoughts, feelings, and experiences of the people around me, which can in turn improve my relationships with them. It can also help me resolve conflicts and disagreements more effectively, as it allows me to fully consider others' perspectives and find solutions that are fair and beneficial to all parties involved. I have also become more patient and less quick to judge, which has allowed me to form deeper, more meaningful connections with the people around me.
At the same time, I have also learned that personal growth is not always a linear process, and there are still moments when I struggle to empathize with others. It can involve periods of progress and growth, as well as periods of stagnation or even regression. It can be influenced by a variety of factors, including our experiences, relationships, and personal challenges. Personal growth can also be influenced by our temperament and personality. Some people may be naturally inclined towards personal growth and self-improvement, while others may be more resistant to change. Additionally, our individual experiences and life circumstances can also play a role in our personal growth. However, I am now more aware of these moments and am better equipped to course-correct and continue working on myself.
Through my journey of self-discovery, I have learned the importance of empathy and the role it plays in building strong, healthy relationships with others. I have also learned that personal growth is an ongoing process that requires effort and self-reflection. Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another person. It involves putting ourselves in others' shoes and seeing things from their perspective. When we are empathetic, we can understand and respond to others' emotions in a supportive and caring way. Empathy is an important component of strong relationships, as it allows us to connect with others on a deeper level. When we are empathetic, we can understand and validate others' feelings, which can make them feel heard and supported. This in turn can foster a sense of trust and intimacy in our relationships.

Westport Big & Tall Scholarship
One time when being tall led to a funny situation was when I was at a crowded concert with some friends. As we were trying to make our way through the crowd, I kept bumping my head on the low-hanging ceiling beams in the venue. Every time I hit my head, it would make a loud noise and draw attention to me, and my friends would start laughing.
At first, I was a little embarrassed by the situation, but eventually, I started to see the humor in it. I started to intentionally bump my head on the ceiling beams, making even louder noises and causing even more laughter from my friends. The more I bumped my head, the funnier it became, and soon the whole crowd around us was laughing and enjoying the situation.
Another time in which being tall led to a funny situation was when I was in high school and I went to a carnival with some friends. We were all having a great time, trying different carnival games and rides, when we decided to go on the Ferris wheel.
As we got in line for the Ferris wheel, I realized that I was the tallest person in our group. I joked with my friends that I would probably have to sit in the front of the Ferris wheel since I would be too tall to fit in the back.
When it was our turn to get on the Ferris wheel, the ride operator asked me to sit in the front seat. I climbed into the seat and settled in, expecting to have a great view of the carnival from the front of the Ferris wheel.
But as the ride started moving, I quickly realized that I had made a mistake. The front seat was much higher off the ground than the back seats, and I was suddenly towering over the other riders. I could see everyone looking up at me, and I could hear them laughing and pointing.
I felt a little embarrassed at first, but then I started to see the humor in the situation. I waved to the other riders, who were all looking up at me with amused expressions, and I laughed along with my friends.
In the end, being tall ended up being a source of amusement and entertainment for myself and those around me. It was a funny and unexpected situation, and it showed that even seemingly awkward or embarrassing situations can be turned into something humorous and enjoyable.

2. One change or impact that I would want for the tech industry is greater diversity and inclusion. The tech industry has historically been dominated by white, male employees, and this lack of diversity has led to a lack of representation and opportunities for underrepresented groups. By increasing diversity and inclusion in the tech industry, we can create a more equitable and inclusive environment that allows everyone to contribute and thrive.
Another way to achieve greater diversity and inclusion in the tech industry is by implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives at tech companies. This can include hiring and promotion practices that prioritize diversity, providing training and support to employees from underrepresented groups, and creating a culture that values and celebrates diversity. By taking these steps, tech companies can create a more diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the diverse communities and customers they serve.
Another way to impact the tech industry is by supporting initiatives that provide access to education and training in technology fields to underrepresented groups. This can include providing scholarships, mentorship programs, and other forms of support to help individuals from underrepresented groups gain the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the tech industry. By providing these opportunities, we can help to level the playing field and ensure that everyone has the chance to contribute to the tech industry.
3. Yes, I do think that the tech industry has a social and moral obligation to be inclusive to all consumers. The tech industry plays a significant role in society and has the potential to impact people’s lives in many ways. As such, it is important for the tech industry to consider the needs and experiences of all consumers and to ensure that its products and services are accessible and inclusive to everyone.
Inclusivity in the tech industry can take many forms, including making products and services accessible to people with disabilities, providing support for multiple languages and cultures, and ensuring that the tech industry workforce is diverse and representative of the communities it serves. By taking these steps, the tech industry can create products and services that are accessible and useful to a wide range of consumers, and it can help to create a more inclusive and equitable society.
Additionally, the tech industry has a moral obligation to consider the potential impact of its products and services on society and to ensure that they are used responsibly and ethically. This can include designing products and services with privacy and security in mind, considering the potential consequences of new technologies, and engaging in responsible business practices.
@normandiealise #GenWealth Scholarship
Generational wealth is the accumulation of wealth and assets that are passed down from one generation to the next within a family. It is the result of a family’s economic success and financial planning, and it can provide future generations with a financial foundation which can be built upon.
Generational wealth can take many forms, including real estate, stocks and bonds, businesses, and other forms of investment. It can provide future generations with the means to live comfortably and achieve their goals, such as buying a home, starting a business, or pursuing higher education.
One of the key factors in the creation of generational wealth is financial planning. This can include setting aside money for retirement, creating a budget and sticking to it, investing in a diverse range of assets, and avoiding excessive debt. By making smart financial decisions, families can set themselves up for long-term financial success and ensure that future generations have the resources they need to thrive.
Another important aspect of generating wealth is intergenerational wealth transfer, which is the process of passing on wealth and assets from one generation to the next. This can include bequeathing property or other assets through a will, setting up trust funds, or providing financial support to children and grandchildren. By transferring wealth thoughtfully and strategically, families can ensure that their wealth is preserved and used in a way that benefits future generations.
One of the challenges of generational wealth is the potential for inequality. While some families may have a strong financial foundation and the ability to pass on wealth to future generations, others may struggle to make ends meet and may not have the resources to provide for their children in the same way. This can create a divide between those who have access to generational wealth and those who do not, potentially leading to a lack of social mobility and opportunities for those without access to such resources.
Despite this challenge, the creation of generational wealth can be a powerful force for good. It can provide future generations with the means to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals, and it can help to ensure that families have a strong financial foundation for generations to come. By prioritizing financial planning and intergenerational wealth transfer, families can work to build and preserve generational wealth for the benefit of future generations.
Generational wealth can be achieved for you in the future by making smart financial decisions and engaging in thoughtful and strategic financial planning. This can include setting aside money for retirement, creating a budget and sticking to it, investing in a diverse range of assets, and avoiding excessive debt. By taking these steps, you can set yourself up for long-term financial success and provide future generations with a strong financial foundation.
It is important to note that achieving generational wealth can be challenging, and it may require significant effort and dedication. It may also require overcoming obstacles and overcoming inequality. Despite these challenges, however, the creation of generational wealth can be a powerful force for good, providing future generations with the means to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals. By prioritizing financial planning and intergenerational wealth transfer, you can work to build and preserve generational wealth for the benefit of your family and future generations.

It is difficult for me to choose a single song that has the most important message, as there are many songs with powerful and meaningful messages. However, one song that stands out to me is "Viva La Vida."
"Viva La Vida" is a song about the fleeting nature of life and the importance of living in the present moment. The lyrics describe a king who has lost his kingdom and is reflecting on the transitory nature of power and wealth. The chorus, "I used to rule the world," serves as a reminder that no matter how successful or powerful we may be, we are all ultimately mortal and our time on Earth is limited.
The message of "Viva La Vida" is particularly relevant in today's world, where many people are caught up in the pursuit of wealth and power. The song encourages us to let go of our attachments to material possessions and to focus on what truly matters: living life to the fullest and enjoying the present moment.
"Viva La Vida" has an important message about the fleeting nature of life and the importance of living in the present. It encourages us to let go of our attachments and focus on what truly matters.

My educational goals include earning a bachelor's degree in biology, which will allow me to pursue a medical profession as a doctor. My long-term professional goal is to be able to give health care to underprivileged populations in the United States. However, I am positive that if I do not finish my college degree, I will never be able to attain my professional objectives. I decided to become a doctor because I've always wanted to serve others and improve their quality of life. As a consequence, I feel that selecting such a career will allow me to help improve the community's health quality and learn about their medical needs. I aim to specialize in reconstructive surgery after becoming a certified doctor and contribute to aiding victims of severe facial irregularities such as burns and cleft palates.
