Community service, to me, exemplifies the spirit of giving, empathy, and selflessness. It involves dedicating time, effort, and resources to help others and improve the well-being of a community. Community service encompasses a broad range of activities, including volunteering for organizations and engaging in projects that address social issues such as poverty, education, and healthcare access. In the context of a career in pharmacy, community service takes on a unique significance, as pharmacists play a critical role in promoting public health, providing essential medications, and advocating for the well-being of their patients and communities. As I envision my future career in pharmacy, I am committed to actively engaging in community service to make a positive impact on the health and welfare of those around me. I believe that pharmacists have a responsibility not only to dispense medications but also to serve as advocates for health education, disease prevention, and accessible healthcare services. Through community outreach programs, health fairs, and educational workshops, I aim to utilize my expertise in pharmacy to empower individuals in my community to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. One of the ways I plan to give back to my community as a pharmacist is by volunteering at local clinics and community health centers. These settings often serve underprivileged populations who may face barriers to accessing healthcare services and medications. By volunteering my time and expertise, I hope to contribute to improving medication adherence, providing medication therapy management, and offering counseling on chronic disease management. Additionally, I plan to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop initiatives focused on preventive care, such as vaccination drives, health screenings, and educational seminars on topics like diabetes management, heart health, and mental wellness. Furthermore, I intend to engage in advocacy efforts to address public health issues and promote policies that support the well-being of the community. This may involve participating in public health campaigns, lobbying for improved access to medications, or raising awareness about the responsible use of prescription drugs to combat substance abuse. By actively participating in these initiatives, I aspire to be a catalyst for positive change and contribute to building a healthier and more informed community. Moreover, as a future pharmacist, I recognize the importance of mentorship and education. I plan to engage with aspiring pharmacy students and aspiring healthcare professionals by volunteering as a mentor, sharing my knowledge, and providing guidance to those who are passionate about making a difference in the field of healthcare. In conclusion, community service is a fundamental aspect of my vision for a fulfilling career in pharmacy. I am committed to leveraging my skills and knowledge to support the well-being of my community through volunteerism, advocacy, education, and mentorship. By actively engaging in community service, I aim to embody the values of compassion, empathy, and social responsibility that are integral to the practice of pharmacy and contribute to creating a healthier and more equitable society.

In a world consumed by gaining fortune and special treatment, I discovered the secret to achieving individual greatness through humility, modesty, and a wise commitment to not take anything for granted. I was always set apart from others simply because of my financial circumstances, but I used this as an opportunity to improve my work ethic, empathy, and perseverance. To be successful requires more than taking shortcuts, it requires the ability to apply oneself, learning from failure and persevering when facing hardship. This mindset motivated me to move forward and succeed. I worked extremely hard for everything and when things paid off, I was satisfied. And what have I worked for? I’ve worked for my family, my friendships, my teammates and most of all to improve myself in all aspects of my life. This played out on the softball field. I always led by example. I taught everyone what it really meant to be a part of a team, which is having a family and guiding one another. We weren’t just playing a game, we had each other's backs. Accepting failures and then recovering was our way of improving. I maintained the right attitude, giving me strength and resilience. This affected my personality significantly, especially when I learned to use criticism in a positive way, resulting in confidence and performance all around. Through this I have gained the knowledge and experiences I need to continue my journey through life. I plan to further my education, by studying pharmaceuticals and receiving my pharmacy degree. I have been taught not to take throngs for granted therefore I have done everting I can possibly do to get where I am today. With this scholarship I’m hoping to be awarded I will use a a support guide in my process of achieving my dreams and getting the degree I’ve always longed for. Followed by using my resources that I obtained from college to get a job and support my future family. Instead of fantasizing on the things that I don’t have, I will focus on making memories and cherishing the little things in life. Including my passions and I won’t waste the time I have been given. Nothing can be taken for granted. Attaining greatness entails the desire to make a change and help others, and that’s what I want to do. Especially with the help and valuable support of this scholarship I am applying for today.
