I come from a small city called Howard Lake and it's fun during the state fair and whatnot because there car shows are awesome, the local ones usually consist of the old amazing classic cars and it's so fun to look at the engine bays and paint jobs they have. I would love to pursue a career in the automotive industry because cars in my life are one of the main things that bring me the most joy besides my family. Just seeing how people build their cars inspires me to build one myself, and knowing how to work on certain aspects of the car would be cool because I could do the work myself and have the satisfaction of building my car myself. Another reason is that the automotive community is one of the friendliest ones I know, you can be a stranger and talk about your car to someone who asks about it and they seem like your friend. Cars bring people together and unite them because they have the same interests and everyone builds their car with their unique style, and that is the best part of it all.

DUIs are nothing to be remotely proud of when driving after you've been drinking you not only put yourself in danger but you also risk the safety of anybody else driving around you. All it takes is one drive after you've been drinking and you can get pulled over and lose your license or you could crash and possibly take the lives of other people's families. Every year thousands and thousands of people die due to drunk driving car crashes, all these crashes are easily preventable by people who have been drinking for them to simply walk home or get a ride from someone sober. A DUI could ruin your life literally and mentally, it's a permanent thing on your record and it shows people that you are reckless and make dumb decisions, it could've been a one-time thing but it's still just as reckless. To prevent this kind of tragedy from happening here are a few things you can do, if you've been drinking call a sober friend, a cab, or walk home. If you go out drinking, limit yourself to where you are still able to legally drive, so in other words be the sober driver for your friends, or maybe even offer to drive some random stranger if they look like there going to drive home while being drunk. Another way if you have been drinking too much and you're alone sober yourself up, drink water and wait a while until you are safe enough to drive home, if you have some doubts then walk or ask someone to drive you home. Don't be someone who ruins your own and others' lives, drive safely and responsibly.

Ever since I was younger, anything automotive-related has always appealed to me. All day I would be doing anything from watching videos of cars performing in drift battles and drag races, to going outside and launching little Hotwheels off of a ramp. Cars have always appealed to me in such a way I decided to always stick with something in the automotive world. Just thinking about getting to help others and knowing how to take care of my car is something that I've always wanted to do and I'm hoping I can be given a chance to do such things later on in life. The automotive industry is one of the only things I find truly inspiring to do hard work for. The automotive industry and community have always been nice and even if you don't know someone you can appreciate the same interests they have in the automotive world. I envision my role to contribute would be to learn the best and the most I can and be able to give the community a helping hand if anything were to happen to their cars so that I and other automotive workers can get the job done well and with no further issues. If given the right opportunities and help my goal is to move up and up in the automotive world to work on expensive vehicles and fix them in the best and most proper way. Even though working on automotive vehicles may not be fun all the time or any of the time, working on them is just the only thing I can think about. It may even be days and days on end of working at the same thing over and over but finally reaching the end and seeing what I can and have finished would truly be satisfying. I mention myself a lot in this but I am mainly excited to work with the team to finish up any projects and jobs we have been assigned, working with a team is unique because you all have the same experience and do different jobs around the shop. I do not expect progressing in the automotive world to be easy and I know I will have to work for it to make some good forward progress in the automotive world, and working hard for it is all I can do and that's what I will do to get to what I think will lead me to a good life.
