I am a leader in NHS, Student Council, Band, Native Youth Council, Knowledge Bowl, and FFA. These experiences have allowed me to grow as a leader and a person. I am well-rounded and can identify the value in the work I do every day for myself and for others. Whether we are leaders, or followers, we all play an important role.
The FFA motto includes LIVING TO SERVE and it’s powerful. FFA is community minded and steers members to make positive impacts on ourselves and our communities by not just performing community service, but BY LIVING IT.
Service to others is natural when I enjoy it and understand the value. I enjoy time spent in service to others and I take the greatest pleasure from being able to MULTIPLY THAT SERVICE when leading and encouraging others to do the same. If I can help someone, that’s great. But, as a leader, if I can inspire 50 people to each help someone, that’s fantastic for everyone involved!
I am ready, determined, and empowered. Today I am a confident leader. Today I am ready to make tomorrow better for me and for others because living to serve continues to be just a normal part of my way of life.
Outside of school I enjoy tinkering with anything mechanical, play in the Community Band, volunteer to mow at our local cemetery, participate in Taps Across America, am involved in 4-H, and recently joined the Sons of the American Legion, to name a few of my interests.
I am eager to pursue a degree in engineering, but just as importantly, I am eager to use my degree to have a fulfilling career and a lifetime of leadership, dedication, and service.
