I started playing baseball when I was 6 years old, my mom played college softball and she got me into it at a young age. My mom was a great softball player, she started at a young age too and ending up playing in college and was an ALL_AMERICAN catcher. She taught me everything I know about being a catcher. She worked with me everyday on how to block the ball and throwing tennis balls at my face with my catchers mask on so I wouldn't flinch. She also worked with me on hitting and made me a switch hitter. I didn't hit left a lot when I was younger but I still practiced hitting from the left side, and now today I hit more left then I do right (mostly because of the pitchers) but I feel like my swing is better from the left. I started travel ball when I was 7 years old, it was so much fun to travel with a team at such a young age. I have played on travel teams since and have loved every minute of it. I have learned life long values and goals along the way from playing and the coaches I have had. I am very fortunate to have had the same coach since I was 8 years old until 14 years old. He was a great coach and mentor, I still to this day talk to him and ask him questions about baseball and my swing. He was the one that kept me going and playing the sport I love. Today, I am in my senior year of high school and have played on Varsity since I was a freshman, cant wait to get this season going. After my high school season ends I am very blessed to move onto College baseball where I get to continue my journey to my life long goal of being a MLB player some day.
