My name is Traci Cirotto, I am 24 years old and I am currently pursuing my BFA in Performing Arts. I love creativity and the power it has to touch and relate to all walks of life. I value art and the expression of personality through it. My goal, among many, is to continue to devote myself to the craft of telling stories; stories that have the power to change lives or simply bring encouragement to places where such is scarce. I hope to do so through acting, writing, and producing. Stories have the ability to heal, encourage, and unite, which is something I have learned to never take for granted. Life as an artist comes with opposition, challenges, and many uncertainties. However, it is one of the most fulfilling, rewarding, and life-changing decisions I have ever made. I have chosen to walk boldly in this discipline and I intend on encouraging others to do so as well.
I am grateful for the ability to receive incredible education while also pursuing the creative side of myself that truly makes me feel alive.

In my mind, my thoughts are rolled out on film, and the seasons of my life transition scene by scene. Story creation and imagination are at the forefront of my mind, at every moment in time. It’s almost as if I envision my life as a movie itself. I am fueled by the beauty that is filmmaking. The power of change, love, and hope that is held within storytelling through film makes every cell in my body flare with excitement. My greatest goal is to embrace this passion; To devote myself to the craft of telling stories that have the power to change lives, and lead others to do so as well. This is my dream and one of the only things I’ve ever been sure of.
Through time I have come to realize that some dreams come, and then they go. Some dreams though, are so engraved into your soul that they sub concisely become the dictator of your thoughts and decisions. You couldn’t possibly part from them if you ran 5 billion miles per hour or had a superpower to control the forces of nature (despite your attempt to abandon them in hopes of pleasing people who, for some strange reason, think they have authority over your future). Pretty much what I’m trying to say is that it’s bloody impossible to be content with living a life where the fulfillment of these dreams is absent. This is why I have decided to further my education and training and pursue a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
Since graduating from Conservatory with my Associate of Arts Degree, I have taken a few steps back and have put my focus into “real world things” as some would say. But I have abandoned the most passionate parts of myself by doing so, and I refuse to let that be my story... “The Life and Times of a Girl Who Gave Up on Her Dreams and Forever Regretted it.” No thanks. That is not the kind of impact I hope to have on the world. I believe we live in a time where society tends to make us feel as if certain things are impossible or unreachable, and we often adopt those feelings into our beliefs. I have come to realize that if you let yourself believe that your life is limited by other people’s power, you will give the world the right to define you and therefore limit you. I refuse to accept those limitations and I chose to challenge myself beyond my comfort zones in order to achieve the growth I need to make my pursuits a reality. By refusing to accept the limitations of society, and pursuing a career in the creative arts, I would hope to influence others to be bold in pursuing whatever it is they feel called to pursue. Even if it feels like a road that's impossible to travel down. This is my goal as I transition into a new season, or scene, of life that will hopefully have a positive impact on the lives around me.
