My name is Toni Reynolds. I was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts. I am a sophomore at the wonderful Alabama A&M University. My little sister Nori was one of the best things that could have happened to me. I was the one who told my mom that she was pregnant and she didn't believe me until she finally took a test. I felt like I had a connection with her when she was in my mom's belly. My mom would let me go to all her appointments. I was the person with her when I heard my sister's heartbeat. I was the one with my parents in the room when we found out she was a girl. I was there for all her big milestones even when she was in my mom's belly. After my sister's death, my parents had another baby. We call her our rainbow baby. I look at my little sister's ashes in a baby pink box with a baby angel on it all the time. I also then look at my now 7-year-old sister and smile. I hope and pray that I can be the role model that my sister needs. I thank god that I have a little sister that looks up to me. I just always hope and pray that my little angel sister looks down on us and is happy that her sisters think about her all the time.I hope that getting a higher education shows my sister that you can do and be anything you set your mind to. The main reason why I want to become a teacher is that I want brown and black kids to know that people their color can teach them great lessons. It should not matter how much the teacher is getting paid to want to teach kids the right way. You should want to teach students so they receive a good education and be able to succeed in life. I believe that I will teach no matter what the pay or the color of the kids is. I want to ensure that I will try my best abilities to teach great lessons and the education that they need. I love talking to kids and seeing how they act and think. Each student has an individual thinking process. I would like to see how I can expand their minds and what they can get out by just getting an education. I want to explore their minds and see how far they can imagine. I know that teachers hold a certain authority in the school. They know how students learn, and they usually have a very deep understanding of what is best for children to ensure they thrive. When I become a teacher I want to become a person that has a deep connection with the children in my community so I can help guide them in the world.

One quote that will always stay with me is “Education is the most powerful weapon, which you can use to change the world” said Nelson Mandela. My grandfather told me that quote every time I had a hard time in school. I think he took my education more seriously than I did at certain times. At a young age, I didn’t know why he was so hard on me getting my education but now I understand why. My grandfather didn’t have the best education when he was younger. I never knew how hard his upbringing was until he passed away.
My education is the one thing that no one can take away from me. I am a young black woman who wants to spread greatness and education in the school system. So having my education is a part of my black girl magic. In my opinion, getting my education is the superpower that I want to share with the world. I think that's why I want to become a teacher. My mindset and view of education differents from some people's since I have a perspective on the public and private school systems. I went to Boston public school for about 3 years of my early learning. Then I went to Sacred Heart STEM school for another 4 years for elementary school. I went back to Boston public school for 7th-12th grade. I was able to go to one of the top schools in the school district for public schools. I have seen the different teaching styles and resources that are available for each one while private schools give the best resources some families can’t afford tuition costs meaning their only option is
public schooling my goal is to allow the students and kids to achieve more with the resources I can give them from the experience I was given.
The main reason why I want to become a teacher is that I want brown and black kids to know that people their color can teach them great lessons. I don't want kids to think they have to go to a private school for the better education that they should already be getting. In private or public schools, kids should be getting the best education that they can. It should not matter how much the teacher is getting paid to want to teach kids the right way. You should want to teach students so they receive a good education and be able to succeed in life. I believe that I will teach no matter what the pay or the color of the kids is. My name is Toni Reynolds. I was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts. I am a sophomore at the wonderful Alabama A&M University. One big way I love giving back to my community is to spend time at the elementary school near my college. It just gives me an insight into what my job will be and to get a feel for being in a classroom. I love just being around the kids and spending time with them.

Sean Carroll's Mindscape Big Picture Scholarship
We need to work toward a better understanding of the nature of our universe because it can help us to solve many problems and answer many questions that we have as a species. By studying the universe, we can gain a greater understanding of the laws of physics, the origins of life, and the potential for extraterrestrial life. Additionally, it can help us to understand our place in the universe better and to gain a greater appreciation for the beauty and complexity of the cosmos. As humans, we are inherently connected to the nature of our universe. We comprise the same atoms and molecules that make up the stars, planets, and galaxies. By studying the universe and its workings, we can gain a greater understanding of our existence and our place in the cosmos. This connection to nature can also inspire us to protect and preserve our planet and its resources for future generations.
To achieve this understanding, we can employ various ideas and concepts, such as the scientific method, advanced technologies, and interdisciplinary collaborations. The scientific method allows us to formulate hypotheses, test them through experiments and observations, and refine our understanding of the universe based on the results. Advanced technologies, such as telescopes, particle accelerators, and supercomputers, can help us gather data that would otherwise be impossible to obtain. Finally, interdisciplinary collaborations can bring together experts from various fields, such as physics, astronomy, chemistry, biology, and mathematics, to tackle complex problems that require a multidisciplinary approach. Our connection to the nature of our universe is profound and essential. Our existence is intimately tied to the laws of physics and the properties of the cosmos, from the fundamental forces that govern the behavior of matter to the elements that make up our bodies. By studying the universe, we can gain a greater appreciation for the intricacy and interconnectedness of all things and that we are part of a vast and wondrous system. This connection can inspire us to protect and preserve the natural world, to seek new knowledge and understanding, and to strive to make a positive impact on the world around us.
Overall, by working towards a better understanding of the universe, we can gain insights into our past, present, and future, ultimately making the world a better place. We can learn a lot by being in touch with nature. We can see it in a different light if we understand it more.
