The meaning of education, people may see it as just studying and just doing work to succeed to get somewhere in life. But for me, education is more than just studying to get somewhere. From personal experience, seeing education is like a life lesson learning how studying hard and making mistakes is normal and okay. That's how we as humans grow as a person. Education can help with our daily lives by obtaining a deeper knowledge and understanding of the different subjects around us in our everyday lives. Not everything is always going to be in a classroom with books, pens, and computers. You can experience any sort of education in or out of a classroom. Education is so valuable and important, you can’t take education for granted because many others can’t afford or provide that.
My parents were born in Argentina and they had no education or any sort of schooling when they were younger. So for them to come to America and me being in high school right now and about to graduate in the year 2024 and trying to go to college to complete my lifelong dreams and goals of becoming a diagnostic medical sonographer and getting my bachelor's degree would make my parents proud of me. I was always interested in working with medical technology and being an ultrasound tech really opened my eyes. It’s a lifelong dream of mine and hearing that the medical field, in general, is having a huge shortage makes me feel more proud of myself because I’m making a difference by helping out and working with people who are in the most need.
My plans and goals after high school are to get into a college that has a great medical program or find a college that isn't on the pricey side. Because I live in a low-income household I can’t afford everything that I always wanted. I started working when I was 15 with my dad at his own business to help him out because he works on his own. When I turned 16 I got a job of my own so my parents didn't have to pay for my extra extracurriculars in high school. As of right now, I am saving up for a car and transportation. That’s the number one goal. But for the future, I hope to get scholarships to give me a huge boost for college so I can live a successful life and be financially stable so that when I’m older and have children of my own and they don’t have to struggle and worry about paying for their college or for their needs and wants.
Thank you for your time reading this
