My name is Sydney Nguyen and I am a high school graduate. I am planning to attend the University of California, Los Angeles, and major in Pre-Psychobiology with the intent to pursue the medical field. Though I am not sure what I would like to specialize in yet, I am interested in cardiology or physical therapy work. I am excited to see what the future has in store and as I continue this life journey, I am trying my best to earn scholarship money to help me along the way.

    My independence and being able to stand on my own is my everything. I learned that I will not always have someone by my side and most of the time, I will be alone in my life endeavors. To know that I can rely on myself has been an empowering journey in so that I can learn to love myself and appreciate my accomplishments. From car drives to hiking trips, I like to have time alone to reflect on my life and to center myself. It is my life and I choose how I want to live it, with independence.
