Hello, my name is Staci! I am a full-time student of life and continual personal growth. I am attending WGU on the path for my Bachelor of Science Business Admin-Accounting Degree in order to better provide for my family and contribute financial knowledge to the youth in my community.
I started my college journey on the road to becoming an elementary teacher. I love working with children and believe that we all need a little guidance through this thing called life. After having two children I took a break from school and began climbing my ranks and became an Accountant for my school district. I realized that I was not taught many things about personal and business finance growing up that would have benefited me if I had the knowledge. Still having my desire to work with children I decided to switch my degree choice from education to accounting in hopes to provide knowledge of personal finance to the youth and combine the two fields of education and accounting.
I believe our youth are not taught the proper way to handle finances at a young age and if they were there would be more possibilities for their futures. My goal is to continue my education and receive my bachelor’s degree so I can provide knowledge to our communities and youth. My dream is to create a non-profit organization to guide the youth in the right direction when it comes to their future finances and financial decisions. I am applying for scholarships so I can make sure I am able to complete this journey not only for me but for my children and for the children of my community.
