I am a high school senior who is extremely passionate about the fields of psychology, criminology, philosophy, and bioethics. As a career, I am most interested in carrying out research on behavioral psychology and applying this to public policy. I am especially interested in the psychology behind sex crimes against children and the psychophilosophy behind moral decision making.
I have always been highly curious, spending much of my free time learning about topics of interest. Outside of my intended college major in psychology and minor in philosophy, I also enjoy English, physics, visual arts, and biology. I value nuanced thinking and I believe that people can make the world a better place through thorough investigation of their beliefs. I plan to pursue a masters degree or a PhD.
In terms of my personal identity, I am transgender and go by the name Sopias. I am of Jewish upbringing.
