Hello! My name is Sinead Guerin and I am starting my MBA at Georgetown University. I graduated the Pennsylvania State University in 2011 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, a minor in Engineering Mechanics, and a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship. I started my career in June of 2011 with Honeywell in their Energy and Environmental Services Division. I have continued to work for this team over the last ten years with two promotions. As a Senior Project Manager, I specialize in Energy Performance Contracting. I consult with our customers to create a holistic energy project, that we then implement so they can realize the savings, benefits of the upgrades, and help reduce their global footprint. Cyber security is also part of these projects. I have worked all over the country in the private, public, and federal sectors. Climate change and cyber security are in my opinion the two most important issues of this generation! My goal is to utilize this MBA to expand my business knowledge base, take my current skills to the next level, and help expand the scope of our projects. With the clock ticking it is important for us to make swift, dramatic, and lasting changes for the climate. Being in a male dominated field, I understand it’s not only important to change the gender stereotypes in scientific and engineering fields, but also in the c-suite sector. Women need a voice and we need to support the next generation. I was a mentor while at Penn State and have continued this at Honeywell. My goal is to inspire people and invite them to be the change they want to see in the world!
