I had been blessed with a successful career in drug development before entering veterinary school. Holding positions of increasing responsibility over the years as a manager, director, and ultimately Vice President before stepping down to pursue this dream. My teams were small but mighty. I look back now and silently wonder how we were able to achieve ambitious milestones, with such a small team. We brought a drug to market in a rare disease space, secured financial contracts with over 200 vendors in 12 months, and ran clinical trials in 12 countries and 30 academic institutions. I am proud of those accomplishments over the last couple of decades. My choice to change careers has had a substantial impact on my family. For me, my new career goal is a perfect marriage of my past and present and something I am looking forward to developing into a successful business model. My mission is to provide high-quality veterinary care and education to my community to empower pet owners to make informed decisions regarding their pet’s health.
