Textbooks and Tatami Martial Arts Scholarship
I have grappled all of my life. My father was someone i’ve always looked up to for the discipline and the head he has for the arts. Over the years I have learned the craft and all of the things that have come with it. Martial Arts has taught me patience and discipline, also how to persevere when your body is at its weakest. These are all important life skills that can be used in everyday life. Martial arts has fought me how to become a better person while also mastering my craft. Working my way up through the ranks of my sport has been one of the most developmental things for me as a person. It shows that if you set your mind on something, and work relentlessly to achieve that goal, good things will come.
Bold Reflection Scholarship
Life is never easy. That topic is taught and learned at a young age. For some, life is tougher than for others. For me, life has been a roller coaster but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Since I was little, I was always an athlete. Until 6 years ago, I had no aspirations or hopes for the future. But one thing has changed that, one sport. That sport is Wrestling. Wrestling teaches you patience, discipline and the bond of a team. Wrestling has made me have a new outlook on life, have hopes and dreams. Sports do not come without losses and injury. Within that has driven my passion for Physical Therapy. To create a career helping others achieve their physical goals. Wrestling will always be a part of my life, one way or another. But a fire for a career out of physical therapy has been sparked inside of me. That is was fuels my hopes. That is what makes me want to be better, learn more, and help others. Life, and wrestling, has taught me how to be determined. Not only that, but how to set a goal for myself and work to achieve that goal.
