Bio

My lifetime goal is to be a leader in healthcare and create a support system to always do what is right. Healthcare is a field that I am always able to grow in and learn every day to be able to expand my horizons. I am passionate about following my dreams of being a healthcare professional and helping others in every way possible. I am trying to apply for scholarships to afford education to help me become that healthcare professional willing to go above and beyond to improve everyone's well-being and overall health. I want to become that change in healthcare that no one has ever seen!

The tutoring center at Wilbur Wright College in Chicago, IL has impacted my educational journey because they have been very patient and helpful with assignments from professors. In addition, the tutors in that center go above and beyond for their students and care for their success. They are not only knowledgeable, but they also find the resources necessary to support students. I remember walking into the tutoring center and acknowledging me in a friendly way, asking me if I needed to make an appointment for tutoring. They were always readily available, and when there were no appointments, there was a waitlist, which they used to accommodate every student possible. The tutors were very professional, and I wished I had them as my professors. I want to give back to them by dedicating my time to them by going back to help other students struggling with their education journey. I want to be a leader and educator in healthcare and science to support that tutoring center and assist and take care of students looking for resources to complete their long time goals and course assignments. By helping other students as a tutor, I can serve as an example and encourage them to follow their dreams and education. Becoming a role model will inspire them to continue learning and earn degrees. I will be able to share my life experience and what made me go back to college. This is important for students to hear from someone they trust because they will listen and know how to make the best decision with their educational journey. Not only do I want to help students stay in college for a better future and stay away from making bad decisions. I want to build a community full of a robust support system that involves excellent tutors for students to look for as a resource when needed—at the same time, offering kindness proactively to pay attention to the people around them and find new ways to make their lives easier. I want to be able to encourage and involve other students to give back to their community by volunteering, donating their time, or any unwanted items. Giving back to the community will help students become aware and learn to work with people of different cultures. Learning from other cultures, the students can identify and understand their situations and actions. I want to create change and hope no one has ever seen it in students and the community because knowledge is power.
