Scorenavigator Financial Literacy Scholarship
My personal experience with finances is handling the cash or transfers I am sent but my financial education is lacking. I am a young man and student so financial education is not always my concern but as I get older and leave home, it is definitely something that I should and will pay more attention to in order to not misuse the money I earn or have in the future.
It is very important that we learn financial discipline so that we can build good financial habits for our adult lives. I plan on using the information I learn about financial literacy to help myself and people I know to better themselves as we continue our financial journeys. Financial education is important for everyone no matter what age you are. It is something you want to learn and understand in order to apply the positive traits to your life and avoid the negative ones.
Not having financial education can lead to poor financial habits as you grow. Having poor financial habits is not something that is easy to fix so it helps when you have the tools to navigate through things as they may or may not happen. There are many different ways you can learn financial discipline and receive financial education. It is very important to seek out knowledgeable people in order to make the right decisions along your path to financial literacy.
Reading books, watching videos, finding mentors in the finance field are all great tools to have when attempting to gain financial education. Having access to an accountant or bookkeeper is also a great way to gain financial literacy and support. Making sure to ask questions when you are unsure. Making sure to do the proper research necessary to make your decisions the best decisions possible for your situation.
Financial education is one of the most important tools you can have in your life. You don't have to have a lot of money to be financially literate. In fact being educated in finance can help you learn how to save and help your money to grow. These are tools that can be applied to everyday life.
You would be able to help not only yourself but your friends, family and generations to come by learning financial education and gaining the knowledge and experience necessary to not only earn but keep and save your money and you grow in life. Thank you for your time and consideration.
