I am a Paraguayan student driven by a deep passion for coding, astronomy, and tennis. These three seemingly disparate interests have shaped who I am today and what I hope to achieve.
My journey in coding began when I was young, and I became fascinated with how technology could solve complex problems and create innovative solutions. Since then, I have spent countless hours honing my coding skills, learning new programming languages, and exploring the latest developments in the tech industry.
I am also an avid astronomer. There is something truly awe-inspiring about looking up at the vastness of the night sky. My love for astronomy has given me a greater appreciation for the beauty of the world, and it has inspired me to pursue a career that can positively impact our planet.
Another passion of mine is tennis. Besides teaching me discipline, focus, and perseverance, it has also allowed me to connect with people from all walks of life and experience the joy of competition and teamwork.
Beyond my interests, I am also deeply committed to service organizations and volunteering. I believe it is our responsibility to give back to our communities and to help those in need. Throughout my life, I have volunteered with various organizations, including those focused on education, cancer survivors, and mental health. There, I learned the importance of empathy, compassion, and leadership, and have gained a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment. In the future, I am eager to use my knowledge and expertise to make a tangible impact on society.

Elevate Women in Technology Scholarship
Technology makes us humans. From the first stone tools we carved to inventing cars, we built our civilization on innovation. Technology distinguishes us and has extended our minds to construct the world we live in. Hence, it is complicated for me to choose just one form of technology that inspires me. Airplanes opened us to the planet, AI is being used to spot breast cancer missed by human eyes, and with new cost-effective techniques, farming can produce a larger production with fewer emissions
However, the invention that stands out the most to me and is why I decided to pursue a STEM field is the Internet. For millennia, knowledge was kept exclusively by a selected group of individuals. In the 20th century, it became more widespread in industrialized nations. However, even though it was available, not everyone could reach it. College programs, courses, and books are expensive, and the centuries of educational and financial privilege favored white upper-class people. The Internet is eliminating this barrier, and inspires me of a future in which working together, we can level the playing field. With its worldwide scope and boundless possibilities, what you can do is only limited by yourself. You can do a course in Vietnamese, earn a degree in Interior Design, and instantly access the latest news on the other side of the continent. For instance, I had the chance to learn to program for free, allowing me to discover a passion and expand my potential. Additionally, interconnection brings us closer and gives us a fresh outlook on others' insights. A Muslim woman from Indonesia can easily communicate with a gay man from Chile. This medium for wide cultural exchanges has given disadvantaged people, the opportunity to gain new perspectives, speak up, and produce positive reforms. Based on this, I believe the Internet is a step in the right direction for an egalitarian society.
But there is a long road ahead for equality. For example, AI systems trained on facial recognition have been reported to discriminate against women and POC. Just as I see the unraveled potential in technology for encouraging diversity, I am aware of their potential biases and mistakes. Technology is a reflection of mankind, and I want to assure only our best traits are imitated. I am confident that by working with people from different backgrounds, we can move forward in continue using technology to effect positive change.
