Hey! My name Muhammad but I go by my middle name, Saad. I am a Junior at the University of Maryland studying Criminal Justice. My goal after graduation is to obtain a career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I've always wanted a career in law enforcement but have never been sure of what agency. The FBI is one of the top-level security and law enforcement agencies in the world which makes the career very rewarding. Some of my favorite activities include basketball and working out. I have always been an athletic person and fitness is very important to me. It has been my biggest stress reliever and has made me a better version of myself.
I recently started trading foreign currency and that has intrigued my interest in other business ventures. I will soon be starting a vending machine business and investing in several Fortune 500 companies. I am also considering opening up a restaurant somewhere in the distant future. I really love to learn new things so I am always asking questions to expand my knowledge.

John J. DiPietro COME OUT STRONG Scholarship
From the start of my childhood, my biggest role model has been Kobe Bryant. I grew up a huge Lakers fan and Kobe was the face of the NBA. The thing that I admired about him was his commitment to excellence. He wanted to do everything in his power to become the best basketball player he could be. You hear the stories of his crazy work ethic and that has inspired me to do better. One story that stands out to me is when O.J Mayo had asked him to work out together and Kobe agreed. Kobe told him that he would pick him up from his house at 5 the next day and O.J waited at 5 pm but Kobe never arrived. When O.J next saw Kobe, he asked why he never showed up. Kobe told him that he arrived at 5 am but O.J never answered the door. This is the kind of work ethic he had and is the main takeaway I have. I wake up at 5 am every morning and start my day. Whether that being exercising, homework, or household errands I try to get ahead early. I have removed all distractions from my life to remain focused on my goal which is to have a career with the FBI. I am fluent in English and Punjabi but I am learning Spanish to make myself a better candidate. Working out has helped me build a better physique to make myself ready for any obstacles the job will present. When I accomplish my goal, I will help future students by guiding them to their dreams. I want to lay out a foundation of excellence for the next generation of students.
