I strive to be one of the best in a male dominated major. I have always been so interested in coding and I cannot wait to learn when I get to college. If I do something then I strive to put in 100% effort because I want to be proud of my accomplishments.

My favorite tech invention of the last 10 years is the Amazon Alexa. There are so many amazing things that this piece of technology can do. The Amazon Alexa can play games with you, translate for you, help you cook, turn your lights on and off, make video calls, and much more. Despite all of the great these features, the best feature that the Amazon Alexa has is the ability to make my family laugh. The Amazon Alexa, or may I say, the "Amazon Alexis" never fails to embarrass my mother. The first day we got this technology my sisters and I heard my mom frantically yell "Alexis! Alexis?!" then, "Rylee! Come help me! The Amazon Alexis is broken and I just bought it!" Now, every time my mom says "Hey Alexa" my sisters and I laugh and reply "Don't you mean Alexis?" and her laugh follows.
Through my studies and pending career I hope to take part in creating a piece of technology that not only improves and simplifies the lives of others, but brings happiness and connection among families and friends.

My favorite scientist is Nabyl Edu. Nabyl is a boy who is 18, like me, and went to my high school. For his senior project he made a "Choose Your Path" video game and showed us the coding behind it. From that point on I knew I wanted to learn coding and study computer science, thanks Nabyl.
