Bio

The bright lights of the stage have always been a dream of mine, but not how one would traditionally think. No, I don’t want to sing in front of thousands of people or play a role in a musical. I want to be the one who doesn’t get the recognition from the crowd, the one who isn’t ever seen. Since the youngest age I can remember, music has been my favorite thing. Whether it was listening to the newest albums or singing in the school choir, everyday was filled with music in some form. In 2020, my favorite band teamed up with the “We Need Crew” organization, which raised money to support the backstage team for live touring when their work was taken away due to the Covid-19 pandemic. My research of this organization led me to the world of the music industry. Once I had found the plethora of job opportunities in the music industry for people who don’t want to be on stage, I finally knew what I wanted to do with my career. I would love to work in artist or tour management, or for a record label. While this opportunity is a dream come true, it won’t be cheap. I would love to receive this scholarship to help me reach my goal of one day becoming a music industry professional. This scholarship will fund my education at Syracuse University, where I am in the highly competitive Bandier Program, which only accepts 25-30 students per year. This money will help to cover the cost of required textbooks, room, and board. It would be an honor to receive this scholarship and would truly assist me in my future endeavors.
