My life’s mission is rooted in public service. With over eight years of experience in organized labor, I am deeply committed to advocating for workers and uplifting vulnerable communities. As a first-generation American, I come from a proud lineage of political and social activism. Inspired by my heritage, I have dedicated myself to the fight for equity and justice—especially for those whose voices are too often silenced.
Living with social anxiety has added layers of complexity to that journey. For years, I struggled silently, unsure why simple interactions felt overwhelming. It wasn’t until I sought professional help that I received a diagnosis, giving me the clarity and tools to better understand myself. Social anxiety hasn’t stopped me, but it has challenged me to find strength in vulnerability and purpose in perseverance.
Pursuing a Master's degree is not just a personal goal—it’s a continuation of the work my family began generations ago. Education will allow me to sharpen the skills I need to be an even more effective advocate and leader. I want to build a future where I can amplify the needs of others, while continuing to grow beyond the limitations anxiety once tried to place on me.
