I am looking to enter large animal medicine because I have had a passion and heart for the animals that you see on the street, for the injured, and the animals overall that didn't have anyone to care for them properly. In Middle School, I joined SPAA (Student's Protecting Americas Animals) and I joined because I knew that I wanted to rescue animals and do my part in the community because I feel like I can relate to many animals situations, you see- My dad abandoned me because he didn't want the responsibility of having to handle me so he gave me to my grandma and gave her the responsibility that he didn't want and so when you see animals being abandoned, | can relate to it. I would like to care for all animals, horses, dogs, cats, bunnys, pigs, you name it! If I have the experience and knowledge then I am willing to do it. I currently have been volunteering at a Riding Round Up faculty for the disabled, mental and physical health called "Jake E's Riding Roundup" since October of 2021 and I work inside of the barn and outside of the barn with the horses, goats. pigs, and sometimes even the students! I work very closely with the animals and the people and I love it! I have also gotten CVA hours at Cole Vet Hospital & Boarding facility and worked closely with Veterinarians, Vet Techs, and Kennel Assistants as well as the animals that were being boarded in the facility. I will be getting more hours at Kings Creek Vet Hospital in Kaufman, TX starting September 12. Thank you! (I have been in many Agriculture programs as well.)
