Bio

I have always aspired to attend college, and I am passionate about my education. I have been an all A's student my entire life, and I intend to maintain that. I am hopeful that I will be able to obtain some scholarships, as that is the only way I will be able to pay for college. My parents are very supportive, but I have three brothers. Paying full tuition for four kids isn't realistic for us. I believe I am a great candidate because I will work hard in college to achieve my goals.

Aircraft Mechanics for Aircraft Mechanics Scholarship
Ever since I was little, I have looked up at the sky in wonder. Whether it was a plane soaring overhead or the nighttime stars, I have always found inspiration in aviation. This fascination has continued throughout my life and has led to my interest in it as a career. I am interested in pursuing an education in aircraft maintenance because of a lifelong curiosity towards aviation, my father's profession as a marine technician, and because of the industry's promising and stable future. My interest in aviation started as a child. I was originally enamored with space, learning everything I could about rockets and other aspects of space exploration. I was especially interested in the construction of spacecraft and the trial and error involved in their development. This interest shifted later on, as I became more interested in commercial and military aviation. This continues today, as I have maintained this fascination and hope to pursue it further. I am no stranger to the process of repair and maintenance, as my father is a marine technician. I have grown up around his shop, observing his methods and techniques. Whether it is wiring a LED light system or repairing a lower unit, my father is always up to the task and completes it in a professional manner. I would be honored to continue this trade in my own way as an aircraft mechanic. As stated in the prompt, the aircraft industry is a rapidly growing and stable field. It also pays well, and while this is not the most important factor in a potential career, it is definitely good to keep in mind. Additionally, there are already job opportunities in my area. I live in northeast Oklahoma near businesses such as Ferra Aerospace and Orizon Aerostructures. I feel confident that after becoming certified in aircraft maintenance I would be able to find an opportunity nearby. All in all, I am interested in pursuing this career because of a lifelong passion for aviation, a family history with mechanics, and because it is a growing and stable industry. I hope you will consider my application and help me on my journey towards this exciting and promising career.
    Bold Great Books Scholarship
I can still clearly remember my first time reading Percy Jackson. I was in third grade, and I had been enjoying reading. My teacher suggested the series, and as soon as I read the first chapter, I was hooked. With fantastical powers and monsters, and a relatable and witty protagonist, the Percy Jackson series was perfect for me. Percy Jackson is my favorite book because it inspired my love of reading and introduced me to Greek mythology. While I have always enjoyed reading, I didn’t truly love it until the third grade. I had been reading chapter books for a while, but I wasn’t fully invested in them. There were a few books I liked, such as the Magic Tree house series, but they never captivated me. My teacher noticed this, and she suggested Percy Jackson. I loved it, and as soon as I finished reading the first installment I quickly continued on to the next entry. This went on until I had finished not only Percy Jackson, but also three other series written by Rick Riordan, the book’s author. Years later, I can tell that those experiences had an impact on my book preferences and even my reading level. Percy Jackson takes place in a world where the gods and heroes of Greek mythology are not only real, but key characters in the plot. Throughout my reading, I learned a lot from Riordan’s interpretation of Greek myth. A mythological focus continued in his later work, which delved into Egyptian and Norse mythology. This sparked an interest in these subjects, which became helpful later in life during academic competitions. Overall, Percy Jackson is my favorite book because it ignited a love of reading and informed me about different mythologies. It has had a significant impact on my life.
