WinnerBio
I am a first-year student at the University of New Haven, I am Majoring in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Crime Analysis and a paralegal certificate, with a minor in Arabic.
My ambition is to go to law school. Where I aspire to either work for the United Nations or as a lawyer. Beyond the Classroom, I actively contribute to the University's Undergrad Student Government Association as a senator for students with dietary restrictions. I play an integral role in the advocacy committee, dining committee with deans of students, and mayor advisory committee with the political science department.
Bridging cultural divides, I've undertaken the challenge of learning Arabic both at my University and through online resources, investing almost two years in this linguistic journey. My passion for languages extends to fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. In the realm of leisure, I find solace in reading crime and fantasy books, while indulging in shows seamlessly blended with the tranquility of pilates.
My deep-seated belief in the transformative power of education stems from a personal narrative. Raised by a single immigrant mother who toiled tirelessly, I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating an educational path while contending with financial constraints. Despite these hurdles, my unwavering dedication propels me toward a future where education is not just a pursuit but a means to transcend boundaries and create a lasting impact.
