Hi! I'm on Bold.org to try and receive money from scholarships to put towards my college education. A couple facts about me are that I always try to bring humor to a bad situation. I do not think there is a problem a good laugh cannot solve! Another, which is listed in my hobbies, is that I adore reading. For me, reading books is one of the perfect ways to diffuse anxieties and stress. This past year in high school, I learned about Interpreting why an author uses specific words, phrases, symbols, etc. in an AP Literature class. The class was extremely invigorating and refreshing for me. I love learning about Literature, and I would love to keep learning about Literature and English in college.

Drowning for More
Never put it down, never let it go.
It’s essential, you cannot live without its glow.
A glass of water after being parched for days,
It is a relief, it is a savior.
Mirror-like, see your reflection.
Does it show your imperfections?
Breaks down your confidence
To be replaced with humility.
Rushing like fast waves to get a taste.
but nothing in return for your haste.
Going back for more–
to flounder the progress you’ve made.
it is only an hour, how bad can that be?
but one hour can be as vast as the sea,
increasing degree by degree.
proving the point of its immortality,
compared to your morality.
none of it exudes reality.
hours, days, maybe more
just to keep up the facade of being ashore.
immersed beyond your control
the sea has taken its toll.
Drowning for your soul,
is worth having another scroll.
