One afternoon, I sat in my chair working on an extremely abstract derivative calculus problem. Through hour-long trials of working and brainstorming ideas arduously, I alas found myself struggling to find a solution to that problem, and I was left on the verge of giving up. However, knowing that there would be a favorable outcome of the project, I decided to motivate and challenge myself. I began thinking about various ways of experimenting with mathematical concepts and scientific knowledge that I grew a great understanding of. When I finally implemented those ideas in the project, It all made sense to me. Soon, I realized that solving the problem on my own allowed me to visit my mistakes and explore alternatives. From the start of my childhood, I have always aspired to develop the fundamental skills required to succeed in science, technology, engineering, and math. As a child, I participated in many STEM-related competitions to soon realize a passion for the activity I was involved in. Through these experiences, I sought to share my passion with my peers and to teach them an opportunity that STEM gives a very different learning experience. Today, rather than being focused on achieving perfect grades at school, I am truly motivated in the STEM field by learning how to articulate solutions and using my errors to come to a fix. I strongly believe in the idea that success in STEM comes not from the ability to master, but from a positive attitude towards the subject. To help students who lack motivation in the field, I recently sought to take control of one venture in which I inspired younger students to discover different approaches. This venture was called the Peer Tutoring Club. My goal was to make the mechanics of the subject creative, valuable, and interesting, and I was able to accomplish this goal by strengthening their knowledge and boosting confidence in the skills that they lacked. Students and children were able to achieve a great understanding of the foundations of solving problems and extending concepts further in STEM. Since that time, I've furthered STEM in the professional aspects of the field and shown interest in the industry of computer science. I have produced numerous websites and a variety of software applications. Computer programs, I observed, can tackle real-world problems. My experience in computing has given me a deeper understanding of the business aspects of the field. At school, I've delved into a range of passions, including coding an airline business and designing non-profit websites. Everything I've learned throughout my life has driven me toward utilizing STEM in computers. Throughout my time in high school, my value of ambition has taken me to the most challenging STEM courses in school, and I will continue to do so through the remainder of my future college and professional career.

As I typed away on my keyboard, I kept looking at my computer screen. My fingertips sped over the keyboard, striking the keys one after the other. My thoughts were preoccupied with the algorithm, and my wrists shook as they raced across the desk. While my eyes focused on the red and blue colored lines of the screen, my fingers and my mind synchronized in an effort to solve the issue. Fortunately, after typing the final letter on the keyboard, I had found the solution and my computer program came to an end. My back and shoulders were at ease, and I went on to look at the fabulous website I had constructed. I had just finished writing code for an online e-commerce website to sell merchandise for a store. This task, though, used to overwhelm me since it seemed insurmountable a few weeks ago. The code was complicated, and I had no idea how to effectively connect my software to other files in the system. I felt like I'd just written an English essay after looking at the hundreds of lines of code on my computer monitor. Since that day, I've had a burning desire to code websites and write software of all kinds. I discovered that all computer programs can resolve global difficulties if adequate market research is conducted. As a result, I am confident that the skills I have learned in various projects of mine will serve me well as a springboard for entrepreneurship and technology in the future.

The small white balls in the cage rattled. I spun the wheel, collecting more of the white balls on my flat Bingo tray. Then, I stopped. With my hands, I scooped up a few of the balls and told the elderly seniors the numbers I rolled. “B11, N32, and O70,” I said. Sitting in a chair, I saw an old man finish a straight row on his Bingo card sheet and shout, “Bingo!” I approached his table and double-checked his winning card. As a prize for his victory, I kindly awarded him a gift card. Being the host of a Bingo game at a senior care facility is one example of various civic projects I’ve participated in over the past three years. Part of my task has been to support low-income homeless shelters, care for the elderly, and mentor volunteers. These actions molded me as a leader and inspired me to improve the problems of my community. If I would have started my own senior care facility, it would be the utmost important goal that I offer proper investment of volunteering, funding, board games, and most importantly, time. As it takes much time to become helpers and spend adequate time to support the residents, I believe the goal of the organization’s mission—Compassionate Care To Exceptional Senior Living—could be better supported and followed. As a result, I have always believed that “Nurturing is not complex. It’s merely being tuned in to the person before you and offering small gestures toward what it needs at that time.“
    Bold Patience Matters Scholarship
As an enthusiastic learner, I have always asked various questions about puzzling problems in the classroom. However, my teachers, who would answer my questions, had to reflect and understand some knowledge in their minds. They used to misinterpret my questions or would find them difficult to answer. I later realized that receiving answers to puzzling questions is not an abrupt phenomenon but it is a gradual change in the attitude of the learner. To me, being patient is a very important skill. The ability to be patient and persevere on the path to your objectives will assist me in understanding that a persistent deal of effort will result in good outcomes. If I anticipate everything to come to me in a short amount of time, I will be disappointed and upset when a setback occurs. Patience, to me, is described as the ability to persevere in the face of adversity. Most of us find it tough to wait for the delivery guy to mail our packages or wait at the stop sign for cars to move. We've all heard the expression: "Everything comes to you in the right moment. Be patient." However, do we really grasp what it means? I've struggled with patience my entire life because I've always wanted things right immediately. But later this academic year, I have realized that being patient is important.
    Bold Growth Mindset Scholarship
Throughout my academic career, there has been this notion that Asian students like me should especially maintain an A in their class. This assumption has added undue pressure for me and my Asian friends. I, on the other hand, would have appreciated the acknowledgment of learning, not focusing on the grade. In my AP Calculus class, for example, I would enjoy learning how far a particle travels or maybe, how fast a plane travels towards an airport. Though I did not know much about some of these topics, I was a very motivated and curious student about the answers to these questions. Over the period of time, I am grateful for my progression and habit of keeping a positive mindset. As a result of these efforts, I have been rewarded with more happiness and achievement. To me, developing a growth mindset means jotting down notecards full of objectives and to-do lists. It is tackling the extremely difficult English essay with vigor or sitting on a rug and taking a long meditation breath. Later, I realized that nobody in our world is born clever. The distinction between a fixed and growth mindset is that people with a fixed mindset believe they are either good or poor at something because that is simply who they are. I, on the other hand, cultivate a growth mindset by thinking that no matter how tough a task may seem, I am the best. I will succeed by showing dedication and motivation in seemingly difficult dilemmas.

On Meet the Press, you can see his recent, argument with creationist Ken Ham, as well as his sparring match with congressman Marsha Blackburn about climate change. He possesses a patent for an innovative ballet shoe, as well as a patent for an educational magnifying glass made by filling a clear plastic bag with water. Not to mention, he was also involved in numerous Mars rover projects, including the development of a 'MarsDial' to aid the calibration of rovers' systems on the red planet. He is an American educator, Mechanical engineer, Comedy show writer, and a Fabulous scientific inventor. As you may or may not have guessed, this is no other than Bill Nye, known for hosting his program— Bill Nye the Science Guy. Today, I continue to follow his quote: Science is the key to our future, and if you don't believe in science, then you're holding everybody back."
    "If You Believe..." Scholarship
As I flipped and fluttered through the pages of my AP Calculus textbook, I was filled with frustration. My mind attempted to examine the lectures of a special derivative math problem for research, but I simply could not figure out how to approach the calculation. Looking back a few years, I recall being clueless about certain information related to what I was learning in my classroom. Unfortunately, this situation is a frequent problem, since many students in my community are requiring assistance with their homework assignments. As a result, I've created alternatives such as a tutoring club, where I established innovative tutoring programs or simple "help" stations where individuals can easily step in to ask a question or study research. Throughout my education, I was a very good student reaching the end of middle school. I aimed and successfully managed to receive the honor roll several times during middle school. However, as I reflect on my experiences as an eighth-grader entering high school, I do not remember having any guidance on going into further education. I lacked advisors who would teach me about high school, and I simply assumed that the next few years would be a breeze. Entering high school education, I performed similarly to my friends and did not pay much attention to my aspirations for college. As a consequence, I failed to recognize the significance of my goals and the need of transferring to an environment that allowed me to better myself academically. Along with me, my community, which lacks personalized attention and rather contains busy classrooms filled with puzzled students, needed a tutoring organization or a program to help students break down subjects. My community, which has diverse students from backgrounds of low-income, disabilities, and intellectually curious students, has been helped through my initiation of student-led tutoring organizations in order to foster a better education for those with struggles in the community. Fast forward to today, I am quite grateful that I was able to experience this need for change in my life. I learned to take my time during tests and build study habits that allow me to perform better in my studies. I continue to motivate other students with my tutoring club and believe that academic struggles can be overcome. In a world concerned with assessing aptitude and competence, we frequently ignore the critical role of inspiration. Inspiration opens our eyes by allowing us to look beyond our regular experiences. My efforts in high school are definitive of inspiration, catapulting a person from ambivalence to potential. In addition, my tutoring organization has mastered this concept, and it is true that "if one believes," one is capable of doing anything.

One of the most pressing questions about our world can be asked concerning our work in the environment. Every year, billions of trees are cut down, tons of pollution are put into the atmosphere, and millions of animals are put into harsh situations. This harm comes as a huge disappointment to those who love the environment. Looking at how the world functions today, we now realize that this issue needs to be addressed immediately. I would like to know, how do we humans establish and sustain our earth’s environment? In both positive and negative ways, the world can do anything to alter our ecosystem forever and, though some changes are negative, human intervention and power can heal many problems that the earth faces. As urbanization and industrialization progress, human modification of the land has become a daily occurrence, as seen by people's behaviors. Our past generations confronted many environmental threats to the world with bravery and wisdom. I believe that we can rethink our approach and define a solution for the issues during this time. The modern world operates in such a way that it brings individuals from many societies together and civilizes our towns and countries amid intense issues. For example, when we speak about conserving our nature and acting for the future, the world has activists at hand to act and lead a movement by negotiating and dealing with the issues. The world has governments and businesses to develop and enforce regulations. The world has scientists and laboratories to identify problems with other organizations and sectors. As climate change further strains the living conditions in many parts of the world, our society’s community can push policy making and engage directly with each other to encourage positive social change in our community.
    Bold Technology Matters Scholarship
As I reflect on the technologies that I use at home or my workplace, I notice that we are slowly becoming automated and tasks are becoming simpler. For example, I remember having a cute metal robot cleaner in my household that was cleaning and picking up trash from the floor. I was very fascinated by how this piece of technology was programmed and how it detected routes around the many rooms of my house. Rather than myself having to personally collect the trash, the robot was very smart and efficiently ensured that my room was completely spotless. From this experience, I realized that my Vaccum robot represented one small step towards the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and I was keen on exploring more. Today, I notice that the worldwide tech industry has changed quite a lot in the past decade. We have used cloud storage a lot for the past 10 years and soon we may see a change in the upcoming decade. In Japan and various other countries, industries are relying primarily on robotics and consumer electronics. Thus, It is very likely that several years on, Artificial Intelligence will be implemented into our workplace and daily lives. The AI workforce will help us become more advanced in both, technology and the facilities of a city. Their automation can help us create fleets of autonomous vehicles, build modern architecture, and make huge improvements in the look of infrastructure. Who wouldn't like to see such a future? Granted, robots can make us lazy. However, AI is unquestionably on the correct road for the future, and there are many positives to this new technology. If we learn to properly balance our world with robot technologies and human tasks, we can complete tasks efficiently and successfully. Our advancement to AI would help us answer the multitude of questions about the world around us, whether by hammering in screws or programming code. And If one scientist can test 1 system in 5 minutes, a supercomputer can test hundreds of them at the exact same time. This way, AI can detect almost anything about our environment or the atmosphere way better than meteorologists can and thus save us from natural disasters. People will have more opportunities as AI advances, and we will be able to push mankind to the next level. As a result, these smart devices will alter our lives and bring us closer to the future than we can ever imagine.
