Some of my life goals are becoming a nurse and improving my community by using my skills to help the less fortunate. Besides school, I enjoy being active in my community. I've done this by volunteering at my local Salvation Army for 3 summers and teaching Robotics to kids for two summers. I'm in ASB leadership which has really helped me grow out of my shell and has fueled a passion in me to help those in need around me and to actually make a difference, not just wish that I could. I have previously competed in cross country and track and field but I sadly injured myself and am trying to get back into running. This is a huge goal of mine but just like many things in life, it doesn't come easy and I keep this mindset in every aspect of my life. I am very passionate about the nursing field and I have taken steps to get myself closer to that goal. One of these steps is interning at a medical office for the past two years to gain experience in the field. This includes rooming patients, taking vitals, and filing. Lastly I've competed and medalled in many science competitions including Science Olympiad, Science Bowl, FLL Robotics,and Academic Pentathlon! I'd be an excellent candidate because I take my education very seriously and I am very active in my community. Although my education is EXTREMELY important to me i always make time to spend time with my family and friends and give back to my community that has given me so much!
