Bio

I am most passionate about making a difference in the world through the medium of Art. I want to be an Art Therapist more than anything. I want to change patients' lives daily, and create a healthy, safe environment for teens and children to be with me when I start practicing.

    Superfood Lover Scholarship
I love superfoods because they make me feel healthy and promote happiness within myself. They’re an important aspect of my health and fitness journey and are a large reason why I have gained the muscle mass I have since starting to work out. I encourage anyone to at least try them out and see what they can do for them. Oftentimes, people are already eating superfoods without realizing it. While this is helpful, it is even more so to consciously incorporate them into your diet. Every day I make that conscious effort. Among my favorite superfoods are blueberries. Blueberries have been proven to lower the chance of diabetes, heart disease, and even Alzheimer’s. Not only that, they are low-calorie and high in fiber. Blueberries have proven to be an easy snack for me due to their bite-sized nature. I tend to reach for them often and include them in many recipes. Overall, blueberries are a great option when reaching for a superfood. Although blueberries are a great option, they aren’t the only ones I enjoy. Almonds are a great superfood snack, but they often fly under the radar. They greatly show benefits for heart health and even have the ability to slow the onset of type two diabetes. Some are averse to nuts in general because of the possibly high concentration of fat, but the fat in nuts can make you feel full longer. Despite the fat content, nuts, in general, have been linked to a lower risk of weight gain and obesity. Nuts are a great on-the-go option, and I frequently take them on activities like hiking. Ultimately, almonds are a great option in the superfood family. While these two superfoods are great options for me, there is one that is my ultimate favorite. Bananas are a great addition to anyone's diet, and in my opinion, the best superfood. They are extremely rich in nutrients such as potassium and vitamin C. Not only that, but bananas can improve blood sugar levels, support digestive health, aid heart health, and improve kidney health. They are an easy addition to any diet, widely accessible, and a great option for breakfast or even a snack. Finally, bananas are my favorite superfood. These superfoods are only three of many healthy options. Superfoods are a great thing to incorporate mindfully into your life, and I greatly encourage anyone interested to try and incorporate them willfully into their diets.
    Bold Best Skills Scholarship
My best skill is, and always has been, art. Growing up, I used to draw on every piece of paper I could get my hands on. I loved doodles of all kinds, and art was my favorite class. Today, I continue to strive to progress my goal while also enjoying it. I have taken many art electives in my time at my current school, Sanborn High. I recently enrolled in classes, and constantly look forward to what my future may bring. In art class, I often stray from the normal. While I do follow the prompts given, I always put my best effort in to twist the style or composition of a piece to my liking, and never complete a work that I would not personally be proud of. This helps me to ultimately be a better artist overall, and teaches me more skills each day in the art world. My favorite media has always been acrylic paint. Recently, I’ve tried to challenge my comfort and familiarity in that area but exploring the worlds of watercolor and oil painting. Each present their own challenges, and each I have struggled with. In the end, I have always persevered with a work I’m proud of. If you were to walk into my room today, you’d see that my walls are covered with art I have done. I love to display my work, and enjoy people’s reactions to it even more. My main goal with art is to create a better place in this world. My best skill is, and always will be, my artistic ability.
