Majoring in Criminal justice. I have a personal goal of going to Law School. I am pursuing my goal of attending law school to become an attorney dedicated to advocating for justice and equality. Since an early age, I have been passionate about understanding the law and its role in shaping society. My desire to attend law school stems from my commitment to making a positive impact through legal advocacy.
Growing up in Nigeria, I was brought up to believe that with God, nothing is impossible and we were taught that as long as we work hard, we can achieve success in any area of life.
I am a member of the communications and outreach department at church. I also work at the Food Pantry which every month we give out groceries to those in need. I am an active member of my church youth group and a club at school called Christian Students at sacramento State. I am always ready and willing to apply myself in any area to make a positive difference by making the world better with my selfless service.

Winner Evangelism and giving back are two of my favorite ways to assist people. Growing up in Nigeria, community service was not a widespread practice, and I was unfamiliar with the notion until I moved to the United States and learned it is one of the most widely recognized ways of giving back to the place that has become our home.
My family moved to the United States in 2017 and began attending a local church, where we were promptly assigned to different units, exactly as we had always done back home.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the church had a partnership with the County of Sacramento to give back to the community, and that this duty was one that the church took very seriously. In such a short period of time, I discovered the church was very involved in activities such as the DORCAS PANTRY, which is an initiative to gather, prepare, and deliver food to low-income families and those in need throughout the county, as well as use the opportunity to evangelize to as many as possible.
Furthermore, as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, many low-income individuals are experiencing food insecurity, increasing the need for the church to be more deeply involved with this service; however, the need for more private donations to continue increasing during this period as our Church members have limited disposable income, but this should continue for some time. I hope this service never comes to an end.

The Community volunteer activity that made such an impact on me was the visit to the homeless population last Christmas because it gave me a first-hand opportunity to identify a common issue that cuts across all racial and financial boundaries and there has been an increase in recent years, with visible signs of its impact on individuals and families in our neighborhoods.
It made such a huge impact on me because I grew up in a culture where families are constrained to help one another take care of the needs of people who have fallen on hard times and cases of families becoming homeless were few and far between and this practice is one that I am very proud of till this day.
My family of Four members has limited earning potential due to my parents both employed but affected by the COVID19 occurrence and so a grant would come in handy to meet some of the financial requirements to start college in the fall of 2021. Also due to the peculiar situation in which my family was, we forced to move to the United States to avoid some of the customs in Nigeria that were detrimental to our wellbeing, every financial assistance towards achieving the dream of a college education would be handy.
My dream of a career in Criminal Justice was also made easy because my Mother was a Lawyer back home in Nigeria and she realized that there was something peculiar in the way I analyzed situations and come to a conclusion and also my ability to notice the slightest detail about things around me gave her the impression that I would make an excellent career in the Legal profession. I have always admired working in an organization like the FBI and was very impressed with the way they keep a professional demeanor on the job despite the dangers they face in protecting and keeping the country safe from internal and external threats.
It has always been a life-long dream for me to study, work and live a life of being an exceptional practitioner in the field of criminal justice and I have started to put this dream into action as I intend to start college in the fall of 2021 and because circumstances have taught me that you can go as far in life as your dreams can carry you and the higher you dream, the greater the satisfaction when you finally achieve
