I'm incredibly passionate about my love for the sea, as well as serving my country, which is why joining the Coast Guard is a big dream of mine. Though I feel my autism will be an obstacle in the enlistment process, I believe if I fight resiliently I could get a waiver to be able to join. One of my biggest inspirations is my big brother, who’s in the Army National Guard and part of Richmond’s SWAT team. When he was in high school he was on the local news for winning an engineering competition. It’s always been one of my goals in life to be as awesome as my brother. Beyond that, I have plans to get my Master’s at a university in Norway after I complete my undergraduate studies. Experiencing a new culture, a culture that really interests me, is particularly exciting to me. I plan on immigrating there after I complete school. It’s my biggest dream to sail across the Atlantic in a traditional wooden boat, preferably a longship like Leif Erikson did. The experiences of that journey are something I wish to carry with me in my life after. I'm also a martial arts enthusiast and am doing my best to continuously improve myself in all aspects of life. I feel my previous martial arts training has played a big part in who I am as a person. I truly care about the environment and want to make a positive impact. In the future I wish to directly support environmental causes through weekly volunteering. One of my main motivators for being a high-earner is to be able to afford to only buy organic food and sustainable products.
