Bio

Out of the many goals I want to reach in this lifetime, I would say my main goal is to inspire others and create a platform for myself that gives me the means to help as many people as I can. Growing up, you could always find me in front of a camera, on a stage, writing away in my journal or reading; trying to soak up as much knowledge as I could. Being as though I struggled to express myself with words, I leaned into expressing myself in other ways which became just as effective. I want to be the mentor and guide that I needed growing up. As a Black woman, there were, and are several trials I must face, but in the midst of all the discomfort, I make an effort to find a silver lining. I want to be a role model to young black women everywhere; showing them that they can accomplish anything they put their minds to. One of my main priorities in attending the AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts is to invest in myself and my talents because I believe that they will take me far. Hopefully, that'll inspire others to know that they are enough, and no matter how difficult this journey gets, they'll always have something to bring to the table and someone willing to listen. Your voice matters and there is always room in this world for what you have to offer!

I am passionate about pursuing a degree in Performing Arts because out of the many goals I want to reach in this lifetime, I would say my main goal is to inspire others and create a platform for myself that gives me the means to do so. As a Black woman, there were, and are several trials I must face, amid all the discomfort, I make an effort to find a silver lining. I want to be a role model to young black women everywhere; showing them that they can accomplish anything they put their minds to. One of my main priorities in attending the AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts is to invest in myself and my talents because I believe that they will take me far. Since I was young, my family has always supported me and encouraged me in everything I did so being the first to pursue an arts degree is a win for us all. I have experienced the beautiful impact that art can have on one's self-esteem, identity, sense of belonging, and imagination so I would like to be a part of that experience for another. Whether it's my music, dancing, poetry, or acting, I want to touch whoever consumes my art and use my creativity and uniqueness to send a message. The arts give me the freedom and range I need to express the complexity of my creativity and with all the knowledge I have accumulated over the last few years in several programs along with my recent AMDA experiences, I continue to elevate my craft all across the board. Initially, the arts was just something fun for me to do that I gravitated to naturally but now I am grasping technique and that paired with passion is the ultimate combination for success in my eyes. Overall, the degree I am pursuing will benefit me when I fully step onto the scene of the industry and I will be well equipped and ready to take on whatever is thrown at me.
