Bio

I desire to become a cellular biologist to determine causes and solutions to mysteries surrounding living organisms. I want to go to college in hopes that I can learn and research and study all that I can about cells, and the impact that cells have on human life and the world.

Science is a way of learning about the world. A world unique, beautiful, and filled with many, many wonders. Science helps us understand and answer great mysteries of the world, but it also helps us find solutions for everyday life and more. Science has sparked love and curiosity in me to pursue learning and exploring the world around us. Since the 9th grade, I have always had a curious heart for biology. My curiosity came about in my biology class. We began learning about cells and how important cells are to human functioning and survival. I thought to myself how small a cell is, so tiny no human can see with just their eyes, but so essentially crucial to living and living well. I run track and field, and I was amazed about how important cellular recovery is for your body, and I have noticed its benefits. Cells show us it is not always the big things that matter in life, but it is also the small things too because sometimes the small things -like cells- aid in the functioning of the big things -living. Cells are so signicantly important becuase they make up who we are. I wouldn't be african american or 5,6 or have curly hair or narrow feet without my cells, and that is amazing. In Biology class, we learned about normal cells and cancerous cells, and I began thinking about my mom. I was intrigued by the topic of cells because I could connect what I was learning to my mom's ongoing battle with breast cancer. I vividly remember my mom explaining cancer to me, saying, “There are good cells and bad cells, and my doctor is trying to take the bad cells away.” From then on, I knew truly that I wanted to study biology, become a doctor or scientist, and ultimately find a way to remove the bad cells. Sparked by curiosity though my mom's battle, my dream is to become a cellular biologist. I plan to make a postivie impact on the world through learning and researching and discovering and testing differnt medicines, methods, procedures in the hopes that every cancer has a cure. And I desiere to spread awarness of the importance of taking good care of our our bodies for the better functioning of our cells because what we consume and do has an huge impact on our cells. And I hope that one day I could be apart of finding solutions for problems not yet cured or enhance already cured solutions, so that no one elses dies because of cancer.
