FinalistBio
My goals are to create a career in business for myself and assist others to make their own goals a success.
The opportunity for post secondary education was not made a priority when I was younger but now it is an opportunity that I am ecstatically embracing as an adult! I am a dedicated learner and commit myself to my education for myself and to assist others in a similar pursuit. I have been accepted into a renowned university in my home state where I will be embarking on a educational journey of a lifetime. I will be studying three master programs, at once! Such a BOLD move that excites me greatly! The MBA I am enrolled in is a dual degree program and recently I have been accepted into the university's MFA masters program in Creative Writing and Publishing.
Currently I am an ambassador with Donate life, sharing information on the gift of organ donation and assisting in donor registration.
Thank you for taking the time to read my bio and thank everybody involved with Bold.org and the opportunities for scholarships, grants, and more.

Pandemic's Box Scholarship
Great things have come out of the pandemic for me. Before the pandemic I had the opportunity to go to college as an adult. When the pandemic hit globally my college seamlessly transitioned from in person learning into virtual learning.
During the encouraged isolation period of the pandemic, I was able to double up on classes and continue the heavier schedule in the next semester allowing me to graduate in just 2.5 years! As an adult learner and during a pandemic with the whole world living in an unknown situation from day to day, things could have gone crazy but I was able to maintain and actually study with full speed ahead!
Having graduated this past May of '21, I applied to graduate school and was accepted into an dual masters program!
College was not a part of my young life but it has become an opportunity for me in my adult life. The pandemic allowed me to accelerate through my studies which opened my mind to expanding on my education into graduate school. I now aspire to create a new me and when there is evidence of the pandemic being managed and eventually obsolete, I would have prepared myself with education to allow a new me to emerge.
I have been and continue to be a caregiver to multiple family members. Care giving requires a lot of commitment which can infringe on one's personal life. In my life it has had that effect and I did not see college as something I would be able to do but now I am allowing myself that opportunity of education and in that I hope to plan a new life and not feel as if my decision to care for others has been in vain.
