Bio

Undaunted by the fight, I am a sophomore economics major, management and organization and Asian studies minor on the pre-law track attending the illustrious Spelman College located in Atlanta, Georgia. Even though I have juvenile idiopathic arthritis, uveitis, glaucoma, and a learning disability, I don’t let that stop me. During high school, I helped to close the racial education gap by spending over 100 hours tutoring and mentoring students from Baltimore City Public Schools. Also in high school, I studied in Japan and hosted two Japanese exchange students. I have spent over 100 hours volunteering to help people who are blind and visually impaired. I designed and organized 50 profitable events to earn money to travel abroad with Girl Scouts of Central Maryland. During COVID-19, I created The Purpose Brand clothing line to fulfill my purpose and to help others find theirs. During freshman year, I was selected to participate in the highly selective Boeing Company’s HBCU Immersion program where my team placed second in the case competition. As a sophomore, I mentor and tutor students with autoimmune disease and learning disabilities. I also participated in the Miss Sophomore pageant. I have received many awards including a spot on Spelman’s Dean’s List, a citation from Baltimore City for my volunteerism, and an honorable mention on the National Japanese Exam. I aspire to change the world by becoming a successful business woman including desiring to own a construction firm and defending the rights of the indigent by becoming a public defender.
