Hello, i'm Nehmiah, and I am currently a rising freshman who will be attending Bethune Cookman University in the fall 2024, majoring in biochemistry. Throughout high school I have worked super hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA, all while playing my favorite sports, soccer and track. I am an active member in my church choir and church food pantry. I have also had the opportunity to volunteer with organizations that seek out to assist the veterans of the central Florida area.
My goal is to eventually have a career in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). I have a passion to study diseases and find cures for them. But, while I am still in the process of my learning journey I will be searching for internships and other job opportunities that will support me for future careers. Because I deeply care about the struggles faced by many who have diagnoses that are overwhelming to understand, I want to be able to find solutions that will make their life easier.
I can assure that as I continue to further my education, and become established in my future career I will not forget about my community. I will continue to be an advocate for those in the community who are less fortunate, I will continue to speak on Black women's health and the mental health of Veteran's.
