Over time, I have developed my skills as a student, because I have decided to learn everything within my reach. I have learned to crochet, artistic crafts that develop my creative ability, I have taken courses in programming, and writing, including an integrated manual for learning the keyboard and its applications, among other things so that I have continuous access to knowledge without it being imposed by a curriculum. In this way, I look for ways to release stress and, in the same way, expand my desire to continue progressing in the understanding of the various levels of human experience. I also had the opportunity to work as a tutor at the Puerto Rico Department of Education in the summer of 2021. Whose responsibility was to help students who were being left behind in education because of the pandemic. This was a key experience for my problem-solving, organizational and leadership skills and made me see the importance of a good education and strengthened my desire to continue studying because it is an opportunity to enrich my values and demonstrate that as integral beings we are capable of recognizing our abilities and importance in society. Since I was a child I have had excellent grades, I had never gotten a C and upon entering college given the atmospheric and post-pandemic circumstances I have had various problems. I had to withdraw from one class and did not pass another, this was very disappointing for me and I looked for help on the internet because you learn from your mistakes. Now, I am a little more capable and I am aware that I must seek tutoring and different sources to help me understand the material. Since my goal is to graduate from college with honors and enter a graduate university to continue my studies. I will not let bad times turn my life into a bad life. That is why this semester I have acquired several strategies for my education, I have implemented new routines to make the most of my time. I will get my driver's license (one of the reasons why I have done "bad" in college) because before I depended on being driven and picked up, a route of at least an hour that at the end of the day became three hours that I wasted instead of taking advantage of studying. I have also done some research on housing so as not to waste my time and to find a way to become independent, which is why I am applying for the scholarship and it would be a great help.
