I have always sought to apply cutting-edge technologies in innovative ways to improve my community, which is why I am enthusiastic about the potential of artificial intelligence to revolutionize various aspects of education, entrepreneurship, and technology. As the co-president of my school's entrepreneurship organization, I am familiar with design thinking and innovation. I am a dedicated worker, eager learner, and inquiry-oriented thinker who can effectively apply entrepreneurial design and innovative techniques.
As the Junior Captain of my robotics team, I utilize innovative technologies in inventive ways to develop the IMSA Robotics Team and compete in a variety of competitions. I also apply robotics technologies to create accessible programs for students of varying ages. I have conducted professional and student presentations to promote FIRST volunteerism. Furthermore, I manage the FTC Robotics Team as a Junior Captain, securing funding and mentorship.

Everything is composed of a nigh-innumerable number of atomic particles -- I'm fascinated by the underlying molecular principles behind biological phenomena: I'm enrapt by the concept that there are principles, meanings, and laws that govern every action we observe at a microscopic level. The ideal outlet for my curiosity is biological research. At the intersection of chemistry and physics, I've always been passionate about learning how molecular interactions within biological systems can be observed and recorded. In tandem with my passion for helping people, last summer I was part of a research team at Northwestern University studying the unfolded protein response effect of experimental agonist drugs on cholestatic mice. I discovered that I felt fulfilled by seeing the real-world impact of my research. The formulas and pictures that before lived only in my mind could change physical attributes in an actual living organism. This summer, my research is more community-oriented: I'm studying the potential of wastewater analysis as an indicator of community health to inform public wellness decisions.
My work has always emphasized the importance of education and research in making change in my community. With over 220 hours of community service as a part of various leadership and community outreach programs, I’ve developed an entrepreneurial and community-focused mindset that I’m excited to apply to college and my long-term goals in biology, mathematics, and science. As co-captain of my FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Team – along with administrating team activities and financial portfolio – I execute outreach initiatives to inspire the next generation of leaders in STEM. This past season, we have impacted over 20,000 people by partnering with over a dozen organizations and hosting events globally.
I've also pursued change-making through entrepreneurship: I'm excited about science and technology as a platform to chase my wildest dreams of STEM Innovation and discovery. As the co-president of my school's entrepreneurship organization, I develop, teach, and learn about entrepreneurial ventures and change-making through innovation. My pitches encompass a range of industries and topics, from planner apps to environmental conservation applications, to my latest endeavor: a nonprofit organization dedicated to making digital literacy and technological competency accessible to everyone in my community and (hopefully) beyond.
At school, I use entrepreneurship, innovation, and advocacy to create positive institutional solutions for tomorrow's problems. This past year, I helped design and execute my school's AI Center to serve as an incubator for AI research and a learning hub about AI. I am ecstatic about the potential of AI to revolutionize industry and business; I look forward to continued involvement in AI development.
As an aspiring scientist-entrepreneur, I strive to embody the values of Stelios Aktipis and hope that my entrepreneurial community service efforts reflect the values of this scholarship. If there is one takeaway from this essay, I hope it is this: I am uniquely ambitious, driven by my love of helping people, and singularly community-oriented.
