Bio

"Get comfortable being uncomfortable" It takes risks and challenges to equip a person with boldness and courage to soar to the heights. I am an assiduous F-1 international student from Hong Kong who hopes to bring a direct positive impact on people's lives. In a whole new living environment, I found it challenging to adapt to the new changes of becoming a college student living on campus, yet I am getting a hand at adulting and continuing conducting my on-campus job search due to restrictions on my F-1 visa. As an advocate of kindness, I believe that it begins with small gestures: from opening the door for the person behind you to doing volunteering work in the community. It also requires creating meaningful dialogue to connect with people of different social backgrounds to build a harmonious community. I hope that my passion for performing arts (dance, theatre, and music) can bring joy to people around me while utilizing my professional knowledge in physical therapy to profoundly improve patients' quality of life.

      New Year, New Opportunity Scholarship
Creativity is intelligence having fun. While I am creating through theatre, photography, music, or dance, it takes courage to transcend the uncertainties to express my passion on the blank canvas. In the years of working as a backstage manager to the technical crew, and performing on stage as an actress, the sense of liberation has given me wings to explore the endless possibilities. Blurring out the subject by accident could add deeper meaning to the photograph. It also requires consistency to master the talent. My body might be sore after hours of dance and guitar practices, yet I know that it opens the door to more opportunities. And she continues.
You Glow Differently When You're Happy Scholarship
It takes little things to make a person happy. For me, it is the fact that I get to spend time with my family and friends, especially during the holidays. In 2019, my friends and I went to the pier for the 2020 countdown. It wasn’t anything fanciful, just a couple of friends sitting on the concrete floor, facing the Harbour with a couple sodas. We talked and laughed throughout the night. We took pictures and silly videos on our phones as the year reached its last seconds. That night was one of those remarkable and unforgettable nights.
