Bio

Hi, my name is Myla Croft and I am a rising junior at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC). I am a scholar of the University Honors Program. On-campus, I am involved in several extracurricular activities. I am the Co-Philanthropist chair of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs. I am a member of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute Ambassadors and I volunteer with the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Illinois through the University Honors Program. I am currently pursuing a major in political science with a specialization in pre-law. My minor is international studies. In May 2023, I will obtain my bachelor’s degree. After completing undergraduate school, I plan to attend law school at one of the top law schools in the country and enroll in a dual degree program. I will obtain a Juris Doctor degree and a master’s degree in international relations. In the future, I plan on practicing immigration law. I want to represent asylum seekers, refugees, and other immigrants. Since I was a child, I have always connected with people from different cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Therefore, I believe my purpose is to help change the lives of immigrants. I want immigrants to feel included in our country. I want to be of service to all mankind. After practicing law, I plan to become a judge. I want to be a world-changer, history maker, and pioneer for future generations.
