Coming from a family who never went to college, motivated me to go to college and graduate and get somewhere in life. I want to make my parents proud because they sacrificed everything to see me where I am today. There is nothing more I want in life: to learn and graduate. I come from Pakistan, a country where getting an education for women is not easy. Gender discrimination is common there and women are not allowed to go out to go to colleges. My parents did everything they could to make sure I do get an education and go to school. I come from a low-income household so I have to pay for my own college expenses, which is why I work full-time and study together. I have always been a bright student and also always participated in extra circulars.

I come from a strong Pakistani background and values, having been born and raised there. Living in Pakistan was a challenge; every day I faced uncomfortable situations that tested my resilience. However, I did not let anything stop me from being myself and achieving my goals. If anything, these challenges have made me stronger and more determined. I could list a thousand things wrong with my country, but my goal is to focus on turning those wrongs into rights.
I was fortunate enough to move to the United States to continue my studies. This opportunity has been a significant step towards my aspiration to become a dentist. I have always wanted to be a part of the healthcare field because I want to make people smile, not just by fixing their teeth but by improving their overall well-being. More importantly, I want to give back to my country and work towards making things better there. I hope to make enough to support people back home in Pakistan, addressing some of the challenges I witnessed growing up.
Being raised in Pakistan was a blessing. It instilled in me a deep understanding of my culture and the importance of respecting my elders and helping those in need. My parents always emphasized the value of keeping family close and that respect is the most important thing in life. These are values I hold dear and plan to pass down to my children in the future.
My experience in Pakistan taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of community. Despite the difficulties, I learned to face adversity with strength and a positive mindset. These lessons have shaped my vision for a better world, where I can use my skills and experiences to make a difference. As a future dentist, I aspire to contribute to the healthcare field by providing quality care and fostering a supportive environment for my patients. I want to be a part of a profession that not only focuses on physical health but also the emotional and psychological well-being of individuals. Dental health is a crucial aspect of overall health, and I am committed to helping people maintain their smiles and their confidence.
Furthermore, I am passionate about giving back to my community in Pakistan. I aim to set up initiatives that provide dental care to those who cannot afford it and to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. I also want to support educational and healthcare programs that can uplift underprivileged communities, ensuring they have access to the resources they need to thrive.
Making this world a better place is my ultimate goal, and I am committed to doing my best to play my part. I believe that by combining my professional aspirations with my values, I can create a meaningful impact. My journey from Pakistan to the United States has equipped me with a unique perspective and a strong foundation of cultural values that I will carry with me throughout my career.
