Financial Literacy Importance Scholarship
My name is Chauntella Ware. I am currently an educational specialist. I graduated in 2013 from Auburn University of Montgomery with an educational specialist degree in Elementary Education. I have taught in two different school districts. I am very passionate about teaching early childhood education. I currently teach first grade within the district city limits. I have been teaching for eighteen years. Seven of those years of experience were in early childhood education. I have taught both first and second grade students. I am currently working on becoming a National Board certified teacher in early childhood. If I am chosen as the recipient of this scholarship, it will allow me the opportunity to continue my education at National University.
It is important for me to manage my finances as a student because I am a mother of three. If I don't manage my money then I won't have enough to take care of all of us. Managing money allows me to say yes to things that are needed and no to the things that are wanted. I have been teaching my three children how to manage their money as well. I have shown them that it's okay to save. Saving allows you to put up money for a rainy day. The more you save the better you will be financially if something were to arise. My children take a certain portion of their money and they put it away. They have mastered not spending all the money they receive but rather spending some and saving some. This principle has shown them the true value of money.
To manage my finances well, I create a budget and stick to my budget. It is easy to purchase the things that I want but I would rather spend money on the things I need instead of the things that I want. As I spend money I scratch off a list of the things I purchase. I also have an accountability partner who assists me along the way. My children are my accountability partners, they keep track of all of our household expenses. I love showing them how to manage their finances because when they get older I will not have to worry about them misusing money. It makes me feel good knowing that I have achieved a goal. I am grateful for the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. I thank you for your time.

One technology device that I like is the Smart app where a person can lock, unlock, and crank up their car from the comfort of their home. This can make the world a better place because if I go out of town and forget to lock up my car I can still lock it from the app. I also like how I can crank up my car from anywhere without having to stand outside in the cold to crank the car up. The Smart app allows me to click the sound alarm also if I am in danger or if the car is lost or stolen. It also saves a lot of money because if someone locks their keys in the car they can use the app from their phone to unlock the car.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to apply for this scholarship.

I can imagine myself living the life of my dreams by giving back to so many elementary schools. I have witnessed so much in the elementary setting that it breaks my heart. Even seeing a student who is eager to learn but can't because they didn't eat the night before or doesn't have the proper shoes or clothes. Not including coming to school unprepared because parents just can't afford to help them. My life would be making sure that give back to all the elementary schools who poured into me beginning with the low-poverty school.
The life of my dreams will be to become the first person to receive a doctorate in my family. I want my family members to know that they can do anything that they put their minds too. They can accomplish any goal and task if they believe in themselves. Being the first person to receive a doctorate will be the life of my dreams because I will be setting the tone for others in my family to follow.
To be able to not want for anything looks like I have achieved what my ancestors fought so hard for. As a child, teenager, and young adult I watched my grandparents and mother struggle. I also watched them pray about everything. They prayed countless nights that their children and grandchildren won't go through the things they went through. I am determined to fulfill my ancestors' dreams as well as my mom's dreams by me knowing that their prayers will not be in vain as I strive to continue to pursue excellence.
@normandiealise #GenWealth Scholarship
Hello My name is Chauntella Ware, I have been teaching for 18 years. I am currently working on my doctorate of education degree at National University in California. Upon graduation in 2025, I plan to take generational wealth and use it to the best of my ability. Generational wealth means to me being able to leave a legacy to my children and my children's children. I don't want my children and grandchildren to struggle as I did or go without. I want them to be able to achieve everything that they want to accomplish in life.
Generational wealth means having so much money that my grandchildren won't have to struggle. I was raised in a single-parent home so I know how it feels personally to go without. My mom did the best she could raising me from the time she was 17 years old. I told myself at a young age that I would not put my children through what I went through. I was determined that when I got older I would leave an inheritance to my children's children. I will make sure that they have more than enough. Generational wealth also means teaching my children and grandchildren to leave a legacy where their children and grandchildren will possess wealth.
Money and wealth are very important. It is good to make wise decisions when you are younger. Being able to buy the needs of your children is any women's dream. It's a blessing to be able to say "Yes you can" instead of "Not right now" or " No you can't because I don't have enough money. It is hurtful as a parent to say no to your child because you don't have the funds to do so. If possible I want to be able to reverse what I didn't receive and provide them with everything that they need.
I plan to achieve generational wealth by graduating in 2 years. In 2 years, I desire to be the first person to receive a doctorate in my family. I aspire to show my children and grandchildren that they can accomplish goals and build generational wealth. I want to show them that they have to work hard at everything that they do. There is nothing that means more to me in this world than seeing the fruit of my children become wealthy from the principles that I taught them at a young age. I will be an honor to receive this award so that I too can build generational wealth for my children and children children as I pursue this doctorate.

The Heart
The heart beats when no one listens.
The heart is there even though it can't be seen with the physical eye.
The heart is not the same when in certain situations.
The heart can be shaped into so many different forms.
The heart is very unique and special.
The heart can allow things to come in as well as go out.
The heart is not a toy is very fragile.
Do you find yourself with a broken heart?
The heart can only be broken if you allow it to be.
The heart can be fixed, transformed, and renewed.
Whatever is in the heart can come out lovingly or harshly.
The heart is red but when damaged it appears to be dark and black.
Everyone has a heart but not everyone takes care of the heart.
They allow others to walk over it, under it, and through it.
The heart belongs to you.

Book Lovers Scholarship
Hello to whom this concern,
I, Chauntella Ware am delighted to apply for this scholarship. If chosen I will use this money to help pay for graduate school to be the first doctor in my family. I want others to know that they can achieve their goals. I love to read books. I am also a published author of the book called "Butterfly Prayers". I want to inspire others so that they too can read and achieve goals. I have a first and second edition. If I could have anyone read just one book it would be a book on being successful. I want to read books on being successful so I can have a lot of revenue and teach my kids how to make money. I want people to not give up on their dreams and try to do their best and be successful. I feel that money can be achieved if you use all the right tools and measures to work hard. A person who read books on being successful not only will know how to be successful but gain the ways to accomplish goals. The goal is to help others to be successful. I am very passionate about teaching because I love seeing how they start from the beginning and then how they grow over time. The letters, sounds, adding, subtracting, and saying words are very essential and they will carry them for the rest of their lives. At this age, the students are very eager to learn. I love hearing questions from the students like, "How do you spell ____?" and "Can you help me write my name?"
My teachers at all the universities that I have attended have always taught me to strive for excellence in all I accomplish in education. My beliefs are that all students can learn. The relationship that I have with my students is very unique and I call them over the weekend to make sure that their goals are being accomplished. My career goal is to become the first doctor in my family. I want o show other students that they too can accomplish whatever it is that they set their mind to accomplish. When I decided that I wanted to be the best that I can be as an early childhood teacher, I began the doctoral program in 2022 at Northcentral. Working with younger children is very rewarding. I enjoy being a part of the beginning stages of their learning.
The decision to continue to strive for excellence in education has helped me to be the best educator that I can be. I assist teachers with resources and with my quality time. I often stay early and leave late to see what needs to be done. I am an author of a published book. Being an author allows me to assist my first grade students in developing their writing skills to a higher level. The knowledge that I have gained over the years has shown me that the beginning stages of learning will help students to develop skills that they will need for the future.
I plan to leave a lasting impact on the students I teach by them remembering that I never gave up on them and that I was the teacher that pushed them to their highest potential. I would love to receive the Alma J. Grubbs Education Scholarship. If I am selected it will allow me to have an opportunity to be the best early childhood teacher that I can be as I embark on becoming Dr. Chauntella Ware. Thank you so much for your time and effort. It is greatly appreciated.
