Having graduated in December of 2023 with a Cum Laude Diploma after 2.5 years due to multiple full-load summer classes and dual enrollment, I am now a graduate student at the University of West Georgia aiming to get my Master's in Accounting alongside studying for the Certified Public Accounting license while working full time as a Federal Tax Intern. I am a motivated, responsible, and organizational individual who excels at individual and collaborative work groups to solve financial problems—at the same time, being adaptable with the persistence and incitement to learn the most out of the business world.
Working under West Georgia's accountants as a student worker and under CapinCrouse's associates as an audit intern, have helped me gain unique and valuable skills that improved my competence of my future career. If you are intrigued to learn more about my abilities and what benefactions I can make to your company, please send me a LinkedIn message or email me at: morgantaylorst@gmail.com.

Like any young adult attempting to make their place in the world, I wasn't always confident of my future. As many families have experienced when loved ones pass away, it was as if I was sent on a straight route, after the death of my father. I knew exactly who I wanted to be and what I wanted to achieve with my life as the shocking news took form when I was first told. "You will accomplish great things in life," he said, and that is the driving force behind my academics right now. He isn't the only one who believes in me; my entire family has always believed in me. But, to me, there's a distinction between your extended family, whom you only see a few times a year, and your immediate family. Since I was six years old, my mother has raised me alone, instilling in me the confidence I need to thrive in life. Not only do I work hard for my father, but also for both of my parents.
My name is Morgan Tingle, and I am an accounting major at the University of West Georgia. I've known the career path I'd choose since I was in high school, being the future planner that I am. I realized this even more when I enrolled in dual enrollment at Georgia State University and took my first accounting class, which I passed with enthusiasm and a fondness for the topic. While accounting uses simple math, and I had considered pursuing a degree in mathematics because I enjoyed the matter so much, I discovered that accounting would enable me to develop practical skills such as finance, introspective, and problem-solving, which would be beneficial not only in the business world but also in my daily life. It's only a bonus for me that I know I'll fit in throughout the courses I'll be taking.
Thankfully I am not the first in my family to attend college, though I am the first in my family to major in business, as my mother and even her parents pursued education. And it makes me pleased that both my mother and grandfather earned their master's degrees at West Georgia. Currently, I've set the goal of graduating in three years so that I can pursue my master's degree in four years, following in their lineage.
Small businesses and non-profit organizations, I know for a fact, require financial management as soon as the first tax return is issued. And, as a result of Covid, there has been a scarcity of people prepared to help without expecting something in return. I understand that in order to sustain my future existence, I will need to obtain substantial employment; although, once I am secure enough to do so, I intend to offer these services. And if it weren't for my expertise, merely giving back to the community or volunteering would be sufficient to do justice to the organizations that allow me to do so.
If selected for this scholarship, I will continue to apply the same diligence to my collegiate studies as I have to this point, making education and service to other my top priority. I will represent your organization well during my years in college and beyond. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply and for your consideration.
