Bio

My full name is Michael Gabriel Kruglov. I was born in the United States and have only lived in the United States. I have very proud roots from Republic of Georgia through my mom, Russia through my dad, and Israel through my religion and education. In Russian, my name is pronounced Mikhail which is commonly shortened to Misha and is what I’m called informally by my family, friends, and teachers. Though it technically wasn’t my first language as I only spoke Russian until preschool, I am fluent in English and am mastering Russian, Georgian, and learning Hebrew in school. I am an excellent student throughout my school career and I most of all love to learn history. I love everybody in my family very much and consider them the most important people in my life. I have played tennis since age 12 and soccer since age 5. My passions are soccer, politics, law, and chess. I am an analytical person who focuses on details and strives for perfection the first time. I am also a flexible, goal oriented, hate to complain and be discontent. My dream career is to become Sports Agent & Lawyer. I wish to find a college that would combine World Politics, International Law, and Sports Management including legal aspects. With the right college, my phenomenal knowledge of the soccer world, and skill set, I know I can change many things for the better.

John Young 'Pursue Your Passion' Scholarship
My passions are soccer, politics, law, and chess. Since I was a kid I have been a soccer player, not a very talented one, but super passionate. When I reached high school, I had to make a choice - if I had to continue with this sport or focus on my education, I chose education. But my passion and love for soccer did not go away. I started to explore what I could do to incorporate my passion with my future career, and I want to become a sports agent/lawyer. My interest in politics is recent, but I understand that if I travel for work and represent the players, I have to be knowledgeable in many aspects of World Politics, International Law, and Sports Management including legal aspects. I am an ordinary high school student, but very passionate about things that move me. I know that if I choose the right college and use my phenomenal knowledge of the soccer world, and skill set, I know I can change many things for the better. I am a child who comes from a divorced family of hard-working immigrants. We have seen hardship, but education was always priorities. I am trying to help my parents send me to school as I wouldn't wish them to suffer and sacrifice all they have to invest in MY dream. I thank you very much for taking the time to read my little statement and for giving it a consideration.
    Scorenavigator Financial Literacy Scholarship
First, I believe that experience with finances should start and evolve in the family. My parents have been educating me since I was a kid, on how to be a conscious and smart spender, and I was always allowed to deal with money, they gave me the freedom to choose, but closely monitored and coordinated my habits. It was my 13th birthday when I got cash gifts. It was then that my mom introduced me to stock market and taught me how it worked. I was fascinated and the rash of making money thrilled me even more. I asked that she invest $100 for me after I researched some stocks. It wasn't the best choice of stocks, they didn't change their value much, but at least I didn't lose. I still invest small cash here and there, and love to see cents going up! I have always watched my parents work several jobs in different fields. They frequently involved me in their home business, helping with logistics, inventory, and organization of items. I appreciated this experience. And now, I consider myself very fortunate to have been allowed to make money myself, thanks to my mom. I sell my gently used clothes or my sister's on online retail store. I carefully examine each item, wash, dry clean and photograph them and post them on online stores. Once they sell, I package and ship them to buyers. Through my work and my job, how much money I make is entirely dependent on myself. This helps me understand the value of money and the work that needs to be put into making money. I have always been independent with my money and how I could use it, but at the same time I have also always been conservative with spending. Given that I understand the difficulties of making money, I seldom spend money frivolously, whether my own or my parents'. Because I understand the burden of making money, I can set myself up to be even more responsible in the future with even more money than I make today. Currently, my expenses are relegated to things that I buy for myself, no bills, subscriptions or food, which leaves me plenty of breathing room for my own desires. However, my conservative nature essentially discourages me from spending more often that I need to. In the future when I will be forced to spend more money, I will be more comfortable than people who spend all of their money as soon as they get it. Having my own job makes me appreciate my parents more and their efforts to provide and treat me and my sister. I appreciate their work that they go through everyday in their own jobs.
