Future Leaders Scholarship
My greatest aspiration is to attend college and earn a Bachelor of Architecture degree. As everyone knows, college tuition is costly and interest rates are high, so receiving this scholarship would be a tremendous relief for my family. I am currently enrolled at Pennsylvania College of Technology, pursuing dual degrees: an Associate of Science in Architecture and a five-year Bachelor of Architecture program, along with a minor in Mathematics. After graduation, I plan to obtain my Architect license. I will be the first person in my family to graduate with a bachelor's degree, a milestone that will make my parents immensely proud. My unwavering determination to graduate and achieve my dream of becoming an Architect, along with my past accomplishments, demonstrates that I am a deserving candidate for your scholarship.
I began my journey with Cub Scouts in kindergarten, cherishing every moment spent learning valuable skills with my friends. I transitioned to Boy Scouts in fifth grade, where my adventure continued. Throughout this journey, I acquired many skills that will benefit my future, and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the program. I diligently advanced through the ranks, earning ninety-five out of the one hundred and thirty-five merit badges, many of which were earned during the pandemic. The final step to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout was my Eagle Scout project—a challenging but ultimately rewarding experience.
For my project, I chose to construct something for the community outside of Boy Scouts. The project's main goal was to showcase the skills I acquired in scouting and to demonstrate my ability to lead my troop effectively. My town, which had recently started a walking trail but couldn't finish it, was my chosen site. I decided to install five benches along the trail for people to rest. Additionally, I built birdboxes opposite the benches and planted milkweed next to the birdboxes to enhance the scenery. To keep the area clean, I placed trashcans around the trail. Thanks to fundraising efforts and the assistance of my troop, the project did not cost the town anything.
This project stands as my greatest achievement to date, and earning the rank of Eagle Scout will undoubtedly open many doors for me. The Boy Scouts of America taught me that hard work pays off, and I intend to apply the lessons I learned in scouting to my future career. Every building I design will prioritize sustainability and eco-friendliness because I deeply care about our planet. Moreover, my designs will be affordable because I believe everyone deserves a roof over their heads. I am eager to design and create homes where families can live for generations. Helping people while doing what I love has always been my dream, and your scholarship can help make this dream a reality. Thank you for considering my application, and I hope you find me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

In everyone’s life, there is often at least one person who plays a pivotal role in helping them achieve their goals or providing the support they need during challenging times. For me, that person is undoubtedly my mother. I am deeply grateful to have a family that is profoundly supportive and caring, and I am especially fortunate to have my mother, whose unwavering dedication has shaped my journey and enabled me to reach milestones I once thought were out of reach. From the very beginning, my mother has been a cornerstone of my support system. While many parents may fulfill the basic responsibilities of providing food, clothing, and shelter, often that is where their involvement ends. Children in such situations frequently find themselves in the position of having to juggle part-time jobs while managing their school responsibilities, sometimes even purchasing their own necessities. It is disheartening to see how some young people are burdened with such challenges, and I have witnessed firsthand how different my own experience has been because of my mother’s exceptional care.
Unlike many, my mother has gone far beyond the bare minimum to ensure that I have everything I need to succeed. Her support has allowed me to focus on my education without the added stress of worrying about where my next meal is coming from or if I will have clean clothes to wear. She has been a constant presence in my academic life, always ready to assist with schoolwork and projects. Beyond addressing my immediate needs, my mother has imparted essential life skills that will prepare me for the future. She has taught me how to manage household tasks such as doing laundry and cooking a variety of meals. She has also provided guidance on important financial matters, including how to handle taxes and maintain a budget. Her knowledge and advice have been invaluable, ensuring that I am not only well-prepared for the present but also equipped for independent living in the future.
One of the most significant ways my mother has influenced my life was her decision to enroll me in Cub Scouts when I was in Kindergarten. She recognized early on that this experience would be beneficial for my development, even though I was initially reluctant and wanted to quit. Her persistence paid off, as I eventually came to appreciate the numerous lessons and skills I gained through scouting. This experience continued to enrich my life as I advanced to Boy Scouts and ultimately achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. I realize now that this accomplishment would not have been possible without my mother’s steadfast support and encouragement. My mother’s influence extends beyond these formative experiences. Her belief in my potential has inspired me to pursue a degree in Architecture. I am determined to graduate from college and achieve a level of success that she was unable to, as a tribute to her sacrifices and dedication.
I am acutely aware of how fortunate I am to have such a remarkable mother. Her qualities and values are ones I deeply admire and strive to emulate. To honor her support and alleviate the financial burden of my education, I am actively applying for scholarships. It is the least I can do to show my appreciation for everything she has done for me. My bond with my mother is enduring, and I intend to maintain a strong connection with her throughout my college years and beyond. Thank you for considering my application and taking the time to read my essay.

I can confidently describe myself as a straightforward individual, and I’m completely at ease with that. While I may not be engaged in every conceivable activity or pursuit, I am dedicated to putting my best effort into everything I do. My academic interests are primarily centered around math and science, subjects that I find deeply engaging. In addition to my coursework, I eagerly participate in after-school chess club meetings. Chess, with its intricate strategies and need for tactical thinking, has become a favorite pastime of mine, allowing me to sharpen my logistical skills while enjoying the camaraderie of friends.
However, the most significant and rewarding extracurricular activity in my life has been my involvement in scouting. My journey began in Kindergarten with Cub Scouts and continued through my years in Boy Scouts until I turned eighteen. During this time, I progressed through the ranks and ultimately achieved the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout. This accomplishment is particularly meaningful to me because of the impact my Eagle Scout project had on my community. I led a service project that included installing benches, birdhouses, and trash cans, as well as planting milkweed along a walking trail adjacent to the Little Schuylkill River. This project not only beautified the area but also contributed to local environmental conservation efforts.
Currently, I am pursuing higher education at the Pennsylvania College of Technology, where I am working towards dual degrees: an Associate of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture, complemented by a minor in Mathematics. The program I am enrolled in spans five years and includes a mandatory study abroad component. I am particularly excited about the opportunity to travel to Europe as part of my studies. This experience will allow me to immerse myself in diverse architectural styles and cultural practices, providing me with a broader perspective on both historical and contemporary design. I am eager to learn how these global influences can enhance my ability to create innovative and functional buildings that benefit society.
Upon completing my degree, I plan to take the necessary exams to become a licensed Architect. My decision to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology was driven by the institution’s commitment to providing a hands-on learning experience, which I believe is essential for becoming a proficient architect. My goal is to design sustainable, eco-friendly homes that are both affordable and suited to their intended purposes. I am passionate about contributing to the creation of spaces where families can thrive, and I am dedicated to ensuring that my designs reflect these values.
The financial aspect of attending college presents a significant challenge. As is well-known, higher education can be quite expensive, and navigating the associated costs can be daunting. My family and I have completed the FAFSA, but unfortunately, we are not eligible for federal grants due to our income level. This situation places us in a difficult position: we earn too much to qualify for government financial aid but not enough to cover the cost of college without additional assistance. Consequently, we are faced with the need to rely on private student loans to fund my education.
Receiving this scholarship would be instrumental in helping me achieve my goal of obtaining a college degree and becoming a licensed Architect. I am determined to be the first person in my family to graduate with a bachelor’s degree, and this milestone is incredibly important to me. Your support would not only ease the financial burden but also bring me one step closer to realizing my dream. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay. I hope you will consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship and support my journey towards a future in architecture.

I am currently attending the Pennsylvania College of Technology earning dual degrees in Associate of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture as well as a minor in Mathematics. This degree program is five years in length, and I plan on spending some time abroad with my class. Once this is completed, I will complete the exams to become a licensed Architect. I have chosen to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology because I will get the proper hands-on learning experience that is needed to be a good Architect. I hope to be able to use this scholarship, with others, to finance my dream to go to college and become a licensed Architect. Even though I am now completely set on what I want to do with my life, my decision on what I want to do for my future career was not that simple and easy.
I knew from the beginning that I wanted to work in math and science since they tend to be my favorite subjects in school. I was not completely sure what to do in those fields, but in high school, I found calculus and physics to be very interesting. I also have been playing Minecraft and LEGO since I was a young child, and now at the age of nineteen, I still love to play them. When I found Architecture to be a possibility, I was so excited! I had found something where I could be paid to do what I love to do the most; create. With my degree as an Architect, I will be able to help so many people design and build a home for them to raise a family in.
I will be the first person in my family to graduate from college with a bachelor's degree, so it is important that I work hard to achieve this goal. My father never considered college when he was younger, so he went to a trade school instead. On the other hand, my mother wanted to go to college. Sadly, she had one class left to take when she ran out of money so she couldn’t finish. She never had the time to go back, so it will make them beyond proud when I graduate with a bachelor’s degree. This scholarship will be one step closer to making this dream possible, and I know for certain that the world will be a better place because of it. Every single one of my buildings will be sustainable, eco-friendly, and affordable because there are more important things in life than money.
Overall, I believe that Architecture will be a great fit for me, and college is going to make my dreams come true. My underlying goal in life is to do something meaningful that will change the world, and I want to be able to have fun along the way. Sustainable and affordable housing is of the utmost importance to me, so I will make sure that my designs reflect that. People will remember me for what I have given to the industry, and my actions will change many lives. Your scholarship will mean so much to me and my family, and I assure you that it will not go to waste. College can be very expensive, and every little bit of money can go a long way. I want to be able to support my parents when they retire to pay them back for all that they have done for me. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

Before I can tell you how much my experiences have helped me in my life, I first need to tell you about what I did to get to where I am today. I joined Scouts for the first time when I saw a flyer for Cub Scouts in Kindergarten. I joined a pack, and I was instantly hooked. I had so much fun while learning valuable skills that would help me greatly in the future, and I earned almost every award including my Webelos pins and Arrow of Light. I then crossed over to Boy Scouts in fifth grade where I would learn so many more valuable skills. I participated in many activities and earned ninety-five of the one-hundred-and-thirty-five merit badges. I worked my way up the ranks to Life Scout. The final thing that I needed to do was complete my Eagle Scout Service Project.
The project needed to be done with my leadership and funding from fundraisers, so my town was the perfect place to have it. I decided to build five benches along the walking path that runs next to the river in my town’s recreation park for people to sit and take a break. I also installed bird boxes and milkweed on the other side of the walking path across from the benches, so that people can watch the birds and butterflies as they sit and relax. Many people like to fish there so I also provided trash cans, so that the area would be clean for people to enjoy the scenery. My troop and I worked hard to provide this to my town without them having to supply labor, materials, or funds for the project. I am so proud of myself and my troop for conducting such an amazing project for my community.
As you can see, I have been in Scouting for most of my youth, so I can confidently say that it has made me who I am today. I couldn’t believe that I could have so much fun while learning so many valuable skills. There are too many skills to list but some of them are leadership, communication, problem-solving, preparedness, dedication, hard work, working with others, and selflessness. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to be able to experience Scouting, and I hope that more youth are exposed to the program. Scouting has challenged me in ways that will prepare me for the future, and I know that I will succeed in life because of it. I will be able to face anything that comes my way, because of what I learned in Scouting.
I am currently attending the Pennsylvania College of Technology earning dual degrees which are Associate of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in Mathematics. This degree program is five years long and includes a study abroad requirement. Once this is completed, I will complete the exams to become a licensed Architect. I know that college is not going to be easy and that there are going to be roadblocks, but there will be nothing that I cannot handle. Life is going to have its challenges, but Scouting has shown me that all I need to do is my best. There are going to be those who give up when life gets hard, but it is not going to be me. Scouting has opened up so many doors for me, and I cannot wait for what my future holds for me. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

My biggest dream is to be able to go to college and earn my Bachelor of Architecture degree. Everyone knows that college is expensive and interest rates are high, so this scholarship will tremendously help my family. I am currently enrolled at Pennsylvania College of Technology earning dual degrees in Associate of Science in Architecture and a five-year Bachelor of Architecture program as well as working on a minor in Mathematics. After I graduate, I plan to work towards getting my Architect license. I will be the first person in my family to graduate from college with a bachelor's degree since neither of my parents was able to, so this will make them more than proud of my accomplishments. With my sheer determination, I think that nothing will stop me from achieving my dreams.
Math and science are my favorite subjects in school, so it's only natural that I have an interest in Architecture. I also developed my creative side building things with LEGO and Minecraft for most of my life. Most importantly, I want my life to amount to something meaningful. I want my career to change the world. The lives of so many people will be impacted by my designs, and it is important to me that they are sustainable and affordable. My time in the Boy Scouts of America and having earned the rank of Eagle Scout has taught me to cherish the world around me. The housing market is rising every day along with homelessness rates, so I want to make sure that everyone can afford what is their dream home.
As an Architect, I plan to dream big. The future is in my hands and I will let nothing hold me back. Architecture is one of the most important careers as most businesses need a building to operate. Many people let that go to their heads, but I believe it to be important to focus on why the building is needed and not on who can make it happen. Designing a building to be functional is important, however crazy new designs make the world a nice place. My professors always tell us that we are problem solvers, not problem finders, so I believe that there is nothing that I cannot solve. You asked if I embody the Luminaut values, and I say I embody them and so much more.
Overall, I believe that Architecture will be a great fit for me, and college will make my dreams come true. My underlying goal in life is to do something meaningful that will change the world, and I want to be able to have fun along the way. People will remember me for what I have given to the industry, changing many lives by my actions. Your scholarship will mean so much to me and my family, and I assure you that it will not go to waste. College can be very expensive, and every little bit of money can go a long way. I want to be able to support my parents when they retire to pay them back for all that they have done for me. I am currently enrolled at Pennsylvania College of Technology earning dual degrees in Associate of Science in Architecture and a five-year Bachelor of Architecture program as well as working on a minor in Mathematics. After I graduate, I plan to work towards getting my Architect license. I can confidently say that I am a simple kind of person, and that’s okay. I may not be involved in all the activities available to me, but I put my best effort into everything I do. I loved all my math and science classes when I was in high school, and I also attended after-school chess club meetings, because I love to play chess with my friends. I always try to learn new strategies and build on my logistical skills. The most important extracurricular activity that I took part in would probably be Scouting.
I enjoy participating in community service and other volunteer work because I know that it is for a good cause and that the people of my town will be better off because of it. I am always volunteering at our local soup kitchen because I know that there are less fortunate people than me and that they really need that food for their families. That is why I always participate in the annual town-wide food drive so that we can get the extra food that people do not need to those who need it. I try to attend most town meetings, and I am usually the first to step up to offer my services wherever I can. I share all my ideas and ways to implement them. I even help out with the local trash sweeps to clean up litter around our town. I have been in Cub Scouts from Kindergarten to fifth grade and then Boy Scouts up to my eighteenth birthday.
For my Eagle Scout Project, I decided to build five benches along the walking path that runs next to the river in my town’s recreation park for people to sit and take a break. I also installed bird boxes on the other side of the walking path across from the benches, so that people can watch the birds as they sit and relax. Then, I planted milkweed plants around the bird boxes to attract monarch butterflies to add to the scenery. Many people like to fish there so I also provided trash cans, because I do not want the place to be ruined with garbage. I wanted to preserve the wildlife in the area as well, and garbage would destroy the special feeling that the place gives you. My troop and I worked hard to provide this to my town at no cost to them.
With my degree as an Architect, I will be able to help so many people design and build a home for them to raise a family in. I hope to be able to design sustainable and eco-friendly homes for everyone to enjoy, and I plan to make sure that every building I make is affordable for its purpose. I have always wanted to do something meaningful with my life that will make an everlasting impression on the world long after I am gone. I just can’t wait to make my parents proud. Overall, Architecture is my passion, and you can help make that dream come true. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

There are many ways we can combat climate change, and there is not just one answer to this problem. Climate change is a huge global problem that affects everyone around the world. Climate change affects poor countries the most, and many of them struggle to survive. The issue is that rich countries, such as The United States of America, do not see many of the underlying problems that climate change is causing. This is why there is no strong global effort to stop global warming, but luckily as the years go by, more and more people are realizing what is happening. Many organizations are stepping up to help combat global warming. Even though they are doing a good job, it is not enough to counteract the fossil fuel consumption and pollution released by the big corporations that run the world.
Until we put a stop to those who do not care about what they are doing to the planet, we will never put a stop to global warming. Now, I believe that I have an idea that will hopefully correct this. All of our trash just gets put on ships in the middle of the ocean, and when they sink, all of that garbage falls into the water. Forests are being cut down all the time, and it is just going to keep getting worse. Instead of putting our garbage in the ground, we should burn it for power. Now, burning trash releases a lot of pollutants, but we can store it instead of releasing it. The gases can be used for other purposes. Also, there is no need to stop the big corporations from releasing pollutants either. We can design and build air scrubbers that will be more efficient than one million trees combined. Not only do we need to work together to help clean up the planet, but we need also to work together to come up with ways to combat further pollution and the use of our limited resources. I fear that if we don’t get ahead of climate change soon, we might not be able to stop it.
Another thing is that many people do not realize how they can help, even if it is a small thing here and there. For instance, I always recycle my plastics and hold on to my aluminum products to cash in. This may not make much of a difference, but it can make a difference if enough people start doing this. Since I am in the Boy Scouts of America organization, I participate in many clean-up projects where my troop and I go to different places to clean up trash. Our most notable job is when we do a mile-long strip of a highway each year that is close to where we have our meetings. When I am not with my troop, I like to help clean up my town, because it is nice to see a good, clean neighborhood. I strongly believe that if we work together, we can fight back against climate change, and I hope that more people start to step in to do what is right. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

When you ask what it means to be selfless, many people think of what they do for others. Some do good for others just to be able to brag about being selfless, but I believe that is not the true meaning of selflessness. To be a truly selfless person, you need to be willing to help other people without expecting something in return. I love to help out my community in any way I can. It brings me joy when I see how much the things that I have done help so many people, especially when I see others join in to help out too. I love to do community service and other volunteer work, not just because it will help me become a well-rounded person and help me in my future career, but because helping others is the right thing to do.
I am always volunteering at our local soup kitchen because I know that there are people who are less fortunate than me. These people deserve any help they can get, and I believe that it is my duty to give them that help. I also help with our local food drive, because it is important to allow those who can not help in person to provide something that can help in other ways. That is why I try so hard to make that happen. I joined Boy Scouts because I wanted to expand my abilities to help others. One of our biggest mottos is “Do A Good Turn Daily”, and I happily live by that every day. To be able to achieve the highest rank, the rank of Eagle Scout, you must first complete a community service project.
Many scouts dread doing this project, and they put it off to the last minute. On the other hand, I was eager to get started as soon as possible. You have to wait until you earn the previous rank, the rank of Life Scout before you can start on your project. When I finally became a Life Scout, I quickly began working on my project, because I wanted to do something big for my community. With the help of my troop members, I was able to complete the project that I had been wanting to do for a long time. It was even completely free for my community, as I had done fundraising to pay for it beforehand. I remember one time I was walking to school when I saw a blind man who had dropped his wallet and could not find it.
I could have taken the wallet since he wouldn’t have known I was there. Instead, I grabbed it off the ground and gave it back to him. He told me he wanted to give me a ten-dollar bill, but he accidentally grabbed a one-hundred-dollar bill. Again, I could have taken it, but I told him what he did, and then told him I did not want anything in return. He thanked me and then began walking home. I was late to school that day, but the experience was worth any discipline I would get. When I look back on that experience, it reminds me how we are not all born with equal opportunities, and that it is our job to help the lives of those who are less fortunate than us just a little bit better. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

Sean Carroll's Mindscape Big Picture Scholarship
We live on a big, blue rock in the middle of space, but is it really that big? Our planet is amongst seven other planets, five dwarf planets, and two asteroid belts that all orbit a star at the center of our solar system, and it doesn’t stop there. Our star slowly orbits the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy along with countless other solar systems. The Milky Way galaxy is even within an endless sea of other galaxies. Our universe is infinite, and we have not even scratched the surface of exploring its many secrets. Earth may seem extremely large, but it is a tiny speck of dust in the universe in the grand scheme of things.
We are the dominant species on this planet, and we take advantage of what we have. Over the thousands of years of our species living on Earth, we have cultivated it to our needs, but we are now beginning to see the consequences of that cultivation. We are growing too large in numbers for the planet to sustain us, and we continue to pollute the environment to the point where this planet, our planet, will become uninhabitable. It may take another thousand years for that to happen, but if we don’t do something soon, I believe we might reach a point of permanent damage to the planet’s ecosystem. So, when you ask if it is important to work better to understand the nature of our universe, I say emphatically yes. Since the universe is infinite, I believe that there must be another planet that is identical to ours, and maybe even multiple. We need to work harder to achieve a viable way to travel long distances in a short amount of time.
It literally takes six months to travel to Mars, and it’s the planet that is right next to us. Math and science have always been my favorite subjects in school, and I love learning about everything there is to do with space. I especially love to watch science fiction movies about space travel. Almost every one of them has some kind of hyperdrive that lets them warp through space at a very high speed. I may not be a rocket scientist, but I believe that with enough research and development, we can create something similar to this device. In order to do so, we must come together all around the world to achieve something that one country cannot do alone. The big companies like NASA and SpaceX need to join together with more government aid and put full effort toward the research and development of new technologies that will allow us to explore the unknown universe.
I also believe that one day we might be visited by aliens, and we just need to hope that they are friendly toward our species. That being said, I hope that we are friendly toward them, and maybe they could even share some of their technologies with us. Even though it would be nice, there is probably a very low chance that we get discovered by another sentient species from space. With the extra money and the extra hands, I believe that we can create something to be able to explore and get an understanding of the nature of our universe. I believe that we can be more than just a small speck in the universe if we just try. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for this scholarship.

I plan on designing each of my buildings with sustainable features as well as making them affordable. The well-being of the planet and those who use my designs means a lot to me. I love playing chess, and I can say that I'm decent at it. My father taught me how to play at a very young age, and since then I have been able to surpass his skill. My favorite move to do is the Scholar’s Mate because most new players don’t see it coming. I believe that it is a good starting point to teach new players, as it shows them that having the pieces work together is the key to winning against an opponent.
I joined the chess team when I was in middle school because I wanted to play chess with my friends. It was very fun, and we learned a lot from each other. About the end of my eighth-grade year, we participated in the Schuylkill County Chess Tournament where schools all over the county came together to compete for a trophy. My team took home the first, second, fourth, and eighth place rankings with me being the one who got second place. Overall, my school received first place in the tournament. It was an exhilarating experience, but most importantly I learned so much from it. It was a great way to meet other students from different schools and learn from their strategies. When I entered high school, I also joined their chess club. I met students who challenged my skills, and I became a better chess player because of it. We also participated in the higher ranking of the Schuylkill County Chess Tournament, but I was only able to attain fourth place this time. Despite ranking lower, I had tons of fun with my friends, and I learned so much more.
Sadly, my college does not have a chess club, but that does not mean I have stopped playing altogether. I am now playing against people online. I may not be meeting them in person, but I still am learning everything I can from each game I play. My skills are always improving, and I will never stop playing. I am so glad that my dad introduced me to the game, because I believe it helped to mold me into the person I am today without it. I believe the skills and strategies I have learned playing chess will help me achieve my goal of becoming a licensed Architect. Chess I all about moving your pieces around the board in a strategic manner to beat your opponent. Having your pieces work together is very important in chess, just as it is important for an Architect to work well with others. Architecture takes a lot of strategy and problem-solving, which are skills you learn in chess. You must anticipate what your opponent’s next move is, just as I have to know my clients. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

I can confidently say that I am a simple kind of person, and that’s okay. I may not be involved in everything that I can possibly be involved in, but I put my best effort into everything I do. I love all my math and science classes in school, and I also attend after-school chess club meetings, because I love to play chess with my friends. I always try to learn new strategies and build on my logistical skills. The most important extracurricular activity that I took part in would probably be my scouting career. I have been in Cub Scouts from Kindergarten to fifth grade and then Boy Scouts up to my eighteenth birthday. I worked through the ranks and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. I completed a service project for my town where I installed benches, birdhouses, and trashcans, and I planted milkweed along a walking trail that runs along the little Schuylkill River.
I am currently attending the Pennsylvania College of Technology earning dual degrees in Associate of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture as well as a minor in Mathematics. This degree program is five years in length, and I will need to complete a study abroad program to graduate. I am very excited to travel to Europe and experience their culture. I hope to learn about the old and new ways to design buildings that will benefit society in many ways. Once this is completed, I will complete the exams to become a licensed Architect. I have chosen to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology because I believe they will give me the proper hands-on learning experience that is needed to become a good Architect. With my degree as an Architect, I will be able to help so many people design and build a home for them to raise a family in. I hope to be able to design sustainable and eco-friendly homes for everyone to enjoy, and I plan to make sure that every building I make is affordable for its purpose.
Everyone knows that college can be expensive, and that makes the next few years a little bit scary. Every family must complete the FAFSA, which, if eligible, students can receive grants and other forms of free money from the government to help pay for college. The government considers my parents as making too much money to receive these free grants from the government. My only option is to take out private student loans to pay for my education. My parents and I cannot pay for college; we fall in the middle where we do not make enough money to afford big things, such as college, but make just enough money not to be eligible for government financial aid. I hope to be able to use this scholarship, with others, to finance my dream to go to college and become a licensed Architect. I will be the first person in my family to graduate from college with a bachelor's degree, so that is why it is so important that I work hard to achieve this goal. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

I knew from the beginning that I wanted to work in math and science since they are my favorite subjects in school. Sadly, she had one class left to take when she ran out of money so that she couldn’t finish. She never had the time to go back, so it will make them beyond proud when I graduate with a bachelor’s degree. This scholarship will be one step closer to making this dream possible, and I know for certain that the world will be a better place because of it. I know college is the right path for me to take, and I will stop at nothing to achieve my goals. Higher education will change my life for the better, and it will make my dream job possible. I believe society benefits from any hard-working individual, but my Architecture degree will allow me to create useful residential or commercial buildings. I hope to be able to design sustainable and eco-friendly homes for everyone to enjoy, and I plan to make sure that every building I make is affordable for its purpose. Sustainability is important to me and our country, so I believe that finding ways to protect our planet is the most important thing in Architecture, or any career for that matter. On the other hand, making affordable housing is also very important. Homelessness rates are increasing each year as the housing market skyrockets, so something needs to be done soon. Sustainability and affordability often work hand in hand, but a balance between them will create a better world for all of society.
Everyone knows that college can be expensive, and that makes the next few years a little bit scary. WinnerI have dedicated much of my youth to the Boy Scouts of America because I believe that helping others is the right thing to do. I was in kindergarten when I first joined Cub Scouts, and now at nineteen years of age, I am glad that my mother discovered scouting and signed me up. Over the years of my scouting career, I have participated in many volunteer and community service projects with my troop, and I feel it has made me a better person overall. I have worked hard to earn each rank in scouting, and I even earned ninety-five out of the one-hundred-and-thirty-five possible merit badges. Once I earned the Life rank, I was ready to complete my service project to earn the final rank, Eagle Scout.
For this project, I needed to use my leadership skills to construct and fund a project of my choosing for my community with help from my troop. I decided to do my project on my town’s newly installed walking trail. My town is mostly comprised of elderly people, so I built benches along the trail for people to sit on. On the other side of the path, I installed bird boxes, so that people could enjoy nature and watch the birds as they sat. Next to the birdboxes, I planted Milkweed to add to the overall scenery of the area. Finally, I put trash cans along the path to make sure that the walking trail stays clean. My town was so excited when they saw the finished product, and it didn’t even cost them anything. Earning the rank of Eagle Scout is by far my greatest achievement to date, and it is going to open so many doors for me in the future.
As you can see, I have been in Scouting for most of my youth, so I can confidently say that it has made me who I am today. I couldn’t believe that I could have so much fun while learning so many valuable skills. There are too many skills to list but some of them are leadership, communication, problem-solving, preparedness, dedication, hard work, teamwork, and selflessness.
Overall, Scouting and my service project have taught me that it feels good to help other people, and I plan to use my degree as an Architect to keep helping others in the future. I want to design and build homes that are both eco-friendly and sustainable. My homes will be affordable so that everyone can have a roof over their head to raise a family. I chose to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology because they hold their Architecture department to a lot of the same values as the Boy Scouts of America. Sustainability and helping others mean a great deal to me, so I know exactly where I belong. I hope to one day achieve something even greater than Eagle Scout, and I cannot wait to help so many more people with my career. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

Everyone has at least one person who has helped them in some way to reach a goal or to just receive the support they need. I am grateful for having a family that cares a lot about me, and they have supported me throughout my life thus far. Each of my family members has helped me in some way to reach my goals, but there is one person in particular who has gone above and beyond for me. My mother has been there for me since the beginning. I have seen how most parents just do the bare minimum for their children. They supply food, clothes, a roof over their heads, and nothing more. These kids are forced to get a job while also having to attend school.
Sometimes they must buy their clothes and food, which isn’t right. I am very glad that my mother is different, and that I do not have to go through the same hardships as other kids. She has always been there for me, and she has always given me the help I needed. She took care of all my needs, so I could pay full attention to my schoolwork. She always helps me with my schoolwork, and I can always count on her to help me with any projects I have to do for school. I never have to worry about having food on the table or having clean clothes to wear, because my mother is always there to support me. She has taught me various things about how to live on my own so that I will be prepared when I am older.
My mother taught me how to properly do my wash, and how to cook different meals. She even gave me a little lesson on how to do taxes, and how to have good finances. She always knows what is best for me, especially when I do not know myself. She signed me up for Cub Scouts back in Kindergarten because she knew that it would be a great experience for me. In the beginning, I did not like scouts very much, and I wanted to quit. She never gave in, and I am glad she did not. Over the years, and when I crossed over to Boy Scouts, I began to realize how much this experience would help me in the future. My mother has helped me along the way, and I would not be an Eagle Scout today if it were not for her.
She is the reason why I am trying so hard to graduate from college with an Architecture degree because I want to accomplish what she never could. I must be the luckiest person on the planet to have a mother as perfect as mine. I idolize every aspect of her, and I want to be just like her when I am older. The whole reason why I am completing all these scholarships is that I do not want her to have to pay so much money for me to go to college. It is the least I can do to repay everything my mother has done for me. My relationship with my mother will not end anytime soon, and I will always stay in touch with her throughout college and my life. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

I am currently attending the Pennsylvania College of Technology earning dual degrees in Associate of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture as well as a minor in Mathematics. My decision on what I wanted to do for my future career was simple and easy. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to work in math and science since those are my favorite subjects in school. I was not completely sure what to do in those fields, but in high school, I did specifically find calculus and physics to be very interesting. I have also been playing Minecraft and LEGO since I was a young child, and now at the age of eighteen, I still love to play them.
When I realized that these activities sparked my interest and brought out my creativity, I knew that I needed to find a career that involved similar things to these activities. When I found Architecture, I was so excited, because I had found something where I could be paid to do something I love to do the most; create. At this point, I was still not sure that this was the definite route to take, because I was also thinking of becoming an Engineer, but my parents did everything in their power to help me come to a decision. They found all kinds of Architecture and Engineering programs that I can go to and get a feel of what they are like. After seeing what both careers have to offer, I realized that Engineering is more on the technical side of things while Architecture is more about art and designing.
This is what finalized my career choice to be an Architect because I want to use my creativity to design homes and other buildings for people to enjoy. At this point, I am dead set on going to college, because it is the only thing between me and my career in Architecture. It just would not be possible without it. Now, everyone knows that college can be very expensive, and not many people can afford to attend. Luckily there are many ways to solve this problem, and many people have access to these solutions. Sadly, for me, I am stuck in a hard place. My family is right in the middle where we make just enough money where we do not qualify for federal or state grants, but we do not make enough money to afford college.
This means that I will be forced to take out big loans that I must pay back with high interest. This is a lot for someone just coming out of college to handle. This is where you and many other people who offer scholarships come in. With this scholarship, you can help offset some of those costs. You can help make my dreams possible and put a brand-new Architect out into the world. My parents who have been there for me the entire time, are helping to pay for some out-of-pocket costs. You can also lift the burden off their shoulders with this scholarship. I hope to one day be able to repay them for all that they have done for me, and this scholarship is just the beginning. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

Our Destiny Our Future Scholarship
I believe that we all must embody a little bit of selflessness in our hearts for society to evolve. Not only does this physically help people and communities to grow, but it also mentally helps minorities and people who are less fortunate to feel like they belong. One of the reasons I joined the Boy Scouts of America was to be able to help those who are less fortunate than me, and I get to do this alongside my friends. While in Boy Scouts, I participated in numerous volunteering activities like the soup kitchen and food drive. I helped clean litter off the streets and served breakfast to veterans. It brings me joy that I have made so many peoples’ lives better because of my acts of kindness.
All my hard work in moving through the ranks and earning merit badges got me to the final step of the process, my Eagle Scout Project. I needed to complete a service project where I would have to use my leadership skills to organize my troop to fundraise and construct my plans. I decided I wanted to help my town, because they had recently put in a walking trial, but couldn’t finish it. For my project, I built benches for people to sit on and bird boxes for people to enjoy. I also installed trash cans to keep the area clean and milkweed to add to the scenery. Overall, the project was a big success, and I was able to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.
In my Youth, I dedicated much of my time to volunteering and community service, and I plan to keep at it as an adult. I am currently attending the Pennsylvania College of Technology earning dual degrees in Associate of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture as well as a minor in Mathematics. With this degree, I plan to help people design and build homes to raise a family in. I want to make sure that every one of my buildings is eco-friendly and sustainable so that I can protect the ecosystem while giving families the best experience possible. I will also design my homes to be as affordable as possible so that everyone can have a roof over their head. I plan to make a lasting impact in the construction industry, and I hope to change it for the better.
Not only will I help many families with my degree, but I also plan to keep participating in Boy Scouts as much as I can. I am now helping the younger scouts as I was helped by the leaders before me. When I am not in college during the summer, I will make sure to help my troop with anything they need. I will still volunteer at my local soup kitchen and food drive so that I can make sure no one goes hungry. As I said before, acts of kindness and selflessness make a huge difference in people’s lives, even if they are small. If enough people come together, we can make big changes in the world, and I believe that we will benefit as more people embody selflessness. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.
William A. Stuart Dream Scholarship
I am currently attending Pennsylvania College of Technology to complete the five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree where I will be able to spend some time learning abroad. Along with my bachelor's degree, I am also taking a dual degree which is the Associate of Science in Architecture, and a minor in mathematics. Once I graduate from college, I plan to work towards getting my license to be a full Architect, and I will do whatever it takes to get there. I have chosen to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology because I will get the proper hands-on learning experience that is needed to be a good Architect.
Even though I am completely sure about my future career plans now, I was not always this way. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to work in the fields of math and science since they tend to be my favorite subjects in school. I was not completely sure what to do in those fields, but in high school, I did specifically find calculus and physics to be very interesting. I also have been playing Minecraft and LEGO since I was a young child, and now at the age of eighteen, I still love to play them. When I found Architecture to be a possibility, I was so excited! I had found something where I could be paid to do what I love to do the most; create. I am also excited to be the first person in my family to graduate from college with a bachelor’s degree.
Architecture is truly my passion, and I am going to do whatever it takes to make that dream come true. I know that I can achieve anything that I put my mind to, and I will never give up until I have provided something great to the field. I cannot wait to see the next generation of Architects use my work as inspiration, as I will for the generation before me.
Overall, I believe that Architecture will be a great fit for me, and college is going to make my dreams come true. We all know college can be very expensive, so reaching my goals is going to be challenging. With this scholarship, you can help me pay for college and make my dreams come true. It would make my parents so proud for me to achieve my dream of becoming an Architect. With your help, I can do what my parents couldn’t, and create a legacy for myself that will live on long after I leave this earth. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me to be a worthy candidate for your scholarship.
Minecraft Forever Fan Scholarship
Minecraft is not just a video game that children play, but rather an endless world of opportunities for all ages. The game itself is rated for ages ten and up, so you are never too old to pick up that controller or boot up your laptop. The game is nearly fifteen years old, and it is now the most popular game in the world. I remember when I got my first tablet ten years ago, and Minecraft Pocket Edition was the first thing I played. Back then, Minecraft was nothing like it is today, but I was still hooked on the endless possibilities that the game had to offer. Since the game gets yearly updates for free, I have never lost interest in the game, and I plan on never losing interest.
Every player has a different experience when they are playing Minecraft, and that is the beauty of the game. Every world is different from the last, and every decision you make shapes that world into something unique only to you. You can be a builder, a Redstone engineer, an explorer, a PvP master, a speed runner, or a miner, but every single player has their unique activity or goal that holds a special place in their heart. If been playing Minecraft for over ten years now, so it's difficult for me to single out one thing about the game that resonates with me the most. One thing that sticks out to me that differentiates Minecraft from other games is that it gets endless updates. Every year the game gets better with each new update, but that is not quite my favorite aspect of the game.
As I said before the game is fifteen years old and I have received many updates since its release date. The game is very different from what it used to be, but there is one thing that has always stayed the same since day one. Microsoft and Mojang have never once told me or anyone else how to play the game. There is new content in the game every update, but I don’t have to use it or integrate it into my build. Other games add new content and a lot of times they force you to use it. If I so choose, I can only use the first-ever blocks added to the game and entirely ignore everything else.
That right there is the one aspect of the game that resonates with me the most. To a lot of people, this may seem like a small aspect of Minecraft because it is marketed as a Sandbox game, but I have yet to see a game that is up to your imagination as much as Minecraft is. Minecraft has given me the spark to create amazing things, and it is one of the few reasons why I chose to go to college to become an Architect. The real world is also full of endless possibilities, and now I plan to build innovative buildings for all kinds of people to use and enjoy. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it were not for this wonderful game. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my essay, it would mean the world to me if you selected me as a worthy candidate for your scholarship.
Ward AEC Scholarship
I can confidently say that I am a simple person, and that’s okay. I may not be involved in everything that I can be involved in, but I put my best effort into everything I do. I love all my math and science classes, and I also like to expand upon my creativity skills with Lego and Minecraft. I am currently attending the Pennsylvania College of Technology earning dual degrees in Associate of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture as well as a minor in Mathematics. In college, I am part of the Architecture club that they offer there. The most important extracurricular activity that I took part in would probably be my scouting career. I have been in Cub Scouts from Kindergarten to fifth grade, and then Boy Scouts up to my eighteenth birthday.
I love to do community service and other volunteer work, because I know that it is for a good cause and that the people of my town will be better off because of it. I am always volunteering at our local soup kitchen because I know that there are less fortunate people than me and that they need that food for their families. That is why I always participate in the annual town-wide food drive so that we can get the extra food that people do not need to those who need it. I try to attend most town meetings, and I am usually the first to step up to offer my services and opinions. I share all my ideas and ways to implement them. I even help out with the local trash sweeps to clean up litter around our town. As I mentioned before, I was in Boy Scouts, where I earned the rank of Eagle Scout, therefore I had to complete a service project for my community.
I decided to build five benches along the walking path next to the river in my town’s recreation park for people to sit and take a break.
I plan on graduating from college in five years with my Architecture degree and working towards my license to become an Architect. I want to become an Architect because I want to be able to design and build homes for people to live in. I assure you that, with this scholarship, I will graduate from college and do amazing things in this world. I plan to change the field by pushing my eco-friendly ideas to revolutionize new ways to design buildings. I cannot wait to be able to help so many people create a home in which they can raise a family. I hope to use my degree to build affordable and sustainable buildings for various purposes. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.
Science Fiction Becomes Science Fact Scholarship
When you think about making science fiction a reality, you think about scientists or engineers, but does it necessarily have to be them? I am currently attending the Pennsylvania College of Technology earning dual degrees in Associate of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture as well as a minor in Mathematics. As we all know STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering Mathematics, so I believe that I fall somewhere in that category. I may not be a scientist or engineer, but I do believe that I can make science fiction into science facts with my career. I believe that anyone in any career can push the boundaries set by those before us to make something better, and we all must strive to do this. I know for certain that I will overcome the challenges we face today in the construction field, and I plan to reach new limits in Architecture.
Architects build buildings to look pleasing to the eye, but they are limited by physics. We would like to build incredibly tall buildings, but we are limited by the strength of the materials we have. The Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest building in the world, is about 2,717 feet tall. The building is literally half a mile long, but why can't we go higher? Steel can only hold so much weight before it buckles, but what if we come up with new innovative ways to do more? I wholeheartedly believe that my career as an Architect will make this idea into reality. The next time you are sitting down to watch a futuristic movie, look at the building in the background.
Someone worked hard to design those buildings, but they are often overlooked. Instead, we should study them because they are the future. These buildings are just science fiction right now, but eventually, we will work and live in them. Architecture is one of the most important jobs, because almost every other job needs a building, and everyone needs a place to live. We are running out of space to build horizontally, so we must go vertical. New ways to build are going to be essential to counteract overpopulation. Even though engineers may be the ones who come up with the solution, Architects need to come up with the ideas first.
Architects are the ones who push for better technology to be made. That is why I believe that Architecture will help make science fiction a reality. Architects use the technology that they have to create amazing structures, while engineers make that technology. Everything we have today started with someone who had an idea, something that was science fiction, and all it took was some collaboration to make it happen. As an Architect, I will work with others to make reaching for the sky not just for astronauts. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.
Adam Montes Pride Scholarship
My biggest dream is to be able to go to college and earn my Bachelor of Architecture degree. Everyone knows that college is expensive and interest rates are high, so this scholarship will tremendously help my family. I will be completing the five-year Architecture program at Pennsylvania College of Technology, then I will take the exams to become a licensed Architect. I will be the first person in my family to graduate from college with a bachelor's degree since both my parents were not able to, so this will make them more than proud of my accomplishments. Apart from my sheer determination to graduate from college and get my dream job as an Architect, my past accomplishments will show how I am more than worthy of your scholarship.
I joined Cub Scouts when I was in kindergarten, and I loved every minute of it. I was having so much fun with my friends all while learning so many valuable skills. Upon entering the fifth grade, I crossed over to Boy Scouts where my journey would continue. I learned many new skills that will help me in the future, and there was not a single moment where I wasn’t enjoying the program. I worked my way through the ranks and earned ninety-five out of the one-hundred-and-thirty-five merit badges, largely during the pandemic I had only one more step before becoming an Eagle Scout, and that was my Eagle Scout project. It was a lot of hard work, but it all paid off in the end and was worth every minute.
For my project, I needed to construct something for a community or organization outside of Boy Scouts. My town was a good choice because they had recently put in a walking trail, but they were not able to finish it. For my project, I installed five benches along the trail for people to sit. I then built birdboxes on the opposite side of the trail across from the benches. I also planted milkweed next to the birdboxes to add to the scenery. Finally, I put trashcans around the area to help keep the place clean. This project did not cost my town anything because I fundraised and constructed the project with help from my troop. This project was easily my greatest accomplishment to date, and the rank of Eagle Scout will open up many more doors for me.
The Boy Scouts of America has shown me that hard work pays off, and I plan to use what I have learned from scouting in my future career. Every building I design will be sustainable and eco-friendly because I care deeply about this planet. My buildings will also be affordable because everyone deserves to have a roof over their head. I cannot wait to be able to design and build homes for generations of families to live in. All I have ever wanted was to help people while doing something that I loved, and you can make this dream come true. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me to be a worthy candidate for your scholarship.
Learner Calculus Scholarship
In general, math is a very important subject, and it should be a major part of education in school. When you learn math, you learn how to use math in the real world and other valuable skills that will help you in the future. You learn how to problem solve and think with more reason. Math helps students learn other subjects more easily and gives them a better understanding of the world around them. Calculus is a specific part of math showing us our true potential. There are many reasons why calculus is important in the STEM field, and you can even argue that calculus is vital for STEM to function.
First, STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. You can see that calculus is used in all four of them. Calculus may not be the main focus in STEM, but it does have a very important role in its function. Science is a broad term, so you need to narrow it down before you can see how calculus is used. Physics is all about how the real world works, and yet data can be manipulated with calculus to figure out how something will function. There would be no possible way to get someone to the moon without using calculus to figure out the exact timings, speeds, and directions to take. You could forget about anything to do with quantum mechanics whatsoever if you don’t use calculus to make educated guesses about electrons.
Technology is all about making things faster and smarter, so we use calculus to build computers that can do some crazy stuff. The small computers in our pockets are one hundred times more advanced than the computers used by NASA to put the first person on the moon. As we discover more advanced calculus equations, we can advance further into better technology. Engineers use physics, technology, and calculus to invent, design, and maintain better machines and structures. Engineers would not have a job without calculus. As you can see, calculus is not only important but is also the fundamental building block of the STEM field.
There would not be any jobs or interest in STEM if calculus was not discovered. I say discovered instead of invented because I believe that math is a fundamental law of the universe. There are too many instances where math works perfectly with nature for it to have just been invented by a person. Isaac Newton and Gottfried Leibniz are well known for being the first to discover calculus, but they came across it by accident while they were exploring physics and geometry. This shows that the universe is not as random as we thought. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.
Dr. Samuel Attoh Legacy Scholarship
My legacy is very important to me because it is what future generations will remember about you long after you ate gone. I take pride in myself, and I make sure that I think before every action that I take. Your image is very important if you want to get places in this world, and the people around you should be your allies instead of your enemies. I learn from the accomplishments and mistakes of others every day to better myself because my legacy needs to be the best that it can be. I have put much thought into my career because it is what I’m going to do for the rest of my life.
I will be attending Pennsylvania College of Technology to earn my Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in Mathematics. This degree program is five years in length and will require me to go abroad for one of those years. Once this is completed, I will go on to complete the exams to become a licensed Architect. I have chosen to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology because I will get the proper hands-on learning experience that is needed to be a good Architect. I cannot wait to be able to design and build homes for families to flourish in. There are many reasons why I chose this career path, and it is all because of my upbringing.
I completely believe that a person’s childhood will determine what kind of person they will be. Our parents have an immense impact on our lives, even if we do not know it. Luckily for me, I have two loving parents that have been there for me every step of the way. They have shown me what I am capable of, and how hard work pays off. One of the reasons why I want to go to college is because I want to be able to take care of my parents when they retire. They deserve to be treated with respect for all that they have done for me. I also want to make them proud, as they were not able to earn a bachelor’s degree at college, so I will be doing something that they could not do themselves.
I have some personal reasons why I chose this career path as well. I see my father every day working endlessly at his job to make ends meet, and he is not enjoying what he does very much. At one point he may have liked his job, but now he comes home every day tired and frustrated. I want to be able to work a job that I will enjoy. Architecture is just that because I can use my math, science, and creative skills all at once. Too many individuals work boring jobs until they retire, and they leave this world without a legacy. My legacy is too important to me to let it slip away, so I am going to use my career as an Architect to break the cycle of mindless labor. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.
Monroe Justice and Equality Memorial Scholarship
Our country was built on ideals of freedom and justice for all, and it is what makes us so great. However, our history shows that these ideals were not held equally for all. For most of our country's existence, white males were the only ones with power, which is just plain wrong. It took us until the 1960s to get to the point where everyone had equal justice under the law. This was a huge step forward for minority groups living in the United States, but there is much more work to do. Equality may be written in words, but everyone knows that actions speak louder than words.
The problem of racism derives from our nature to copy others. When we see our parents or other authority figures doing something, we tend to follow. We may not realize it, but the actions of police officers have an immense impact on those around them. It does not help when the news mostly pushed negative information, so people are only seeing the actions of the bad police officers who abuse their power to harm minority groups. Defunding the police is far from the solution, and I believe improving law enforcement will also help fight against racism in other aspects of our county.
First of all, I think that the police need more funds to help keep better-trained officers. There needs to be more tests and procedures to make sure that every officer is there to protect and serve, instead of causing harm. They must learn that their actions will have much greater consequences as a police officer, so they must put their matters aside. The government should take the person's past actions and family into consideration to make sure that they are right for the job. They should also need to take a few moral and ethical classes to show them that people are just people, but most police officers should not need to take these classes.
On the other side of things, law enforcement needs to make physical relationships with the African American community to show the public that equal truly means equal. They must be completely open to talking about these issues, and there must be clear and quick communication when crimes like shootings occur. African Americans should not feel like they are being targeted by the police whenever a crime is committed, and they should not be punished more severely than Caucasian Americans. This is a basic outline of the steps for law enforcement to improve relationships with African Americans, but this will go a long way toward complete equality. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

I will be the first person in my family to graduate from college with a bachelor's degree, so that is why it is so important that I work hard to achieve this goal. My father never considered college when he was younger, so he went to a trade school instead. On the other hand, my mother wanted to go to college. Sadly, she had one class left to take when she ran out of money, so she wasn’t able to finish. She never had the time to go back, so it will make them beyond proud when I graduate with a bachelor’s degree. Curtis Holloway Memorial Scholarship
Everyone has at least one person who has helped them in some way to reach a goal or to just receive the support they need. I am grateful for having a family that cares a lot about me, and they have supported me throughout my life thus far. Each of my family members has helped me in some way to reach my goals, but there is one person in particular that has gone above and beyond for me. My mother has been there for me since the beginning. I have seen how most parents just do the bare minimum for their children. They supply food, clothes, a roof over their heads, and nothing more. These kids are forced to get a job while also having to attend school.
Sometimes they have to buy their clothes and food. I am very glad that my mother is different, and that I do not have to go through the same hardships as other kids. She has always been there for me, and she has always given me the help I needed. She took care of all my needs, so I could put full attention to my schoolwork. She always helps me with my schoolwork, and I can always count on her to help me with any projects I have to do for school. I never have to worry about having food on the table or having clean clothes to wear, because my mother is always there to support me. She has taught me various things about how to live on my own so that I will be prepared when I am older.
She taught me how to properly do my wash, and how to cook different meals. She even gave me a little lesson on how to do taxes, and how to have good finances. She always knows what is best for me, especially when I do not know myself. She signed me up for Cub Scouts back in Kindergarten, because she knew that it would be a great experience for me. In the beginning, I did not like scouts very much, and I wanted to quit. She never gave in, and I am glad she did not. Over the years, and when I crossed over to Boy Scouts, I began to realize how much this experience will help me in the future.
My mother has helped me along the way, and I would not be an Eagle Scout today if it were not for her. I must be the luckiest person on the planet to have a mother as perfect as mine. I idolize every aspect of her, and I want to be just like her when I am older. The whole reason why I am completing all of these scholarships is that I do not want her to have to pay so much money for me to go to college. It is the least I can do to repay everything my mother has done for me. My relationship with my mother will not end anytime soon, and I will always stay in touch with her even after I leave for college. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

My mother knows exactly who I am, even if I do not know it myself. She helped me push myself to leave my comfort zone, and do things that I would not do otherwise. For instance, I did not want to join Boy Scouts originally, but she assured me that it will all pay off. Now that I am an Eagle Scout, I can say that I am grateful that she pushed me to do Scouting. So many doors have opened for me, and it is all thanks to my mother. She has also been the reason why I try so hard in school because I want to make her proud. I want to be able to take care of her when she retires because she deserves it.
I am determined to graduate from college, because of how close my mother was to getting her degree. I plan to take the exams to become a licensed Architect after I graduate from college.
I will be able to help so many people design and build homes for them to raise a family in. every one of my buildings will be sustainable and eco-friendly because I care deeply about our planet. It is also important to me that every one of my buildings are affordable because nobody deserves to be homeless. Everything so far in my life is because of my mother, and everything I do with the rest of my life will also be because of her. She has truly been the greatest driving force in my life, and I would not be where I am today if it was not for her. Dreams are what make us different from the other species on this planet because we can set goals that will make large impacts on those around us. Dreams are the building blocks of our world, and they are what helped us to get to where we are today. Dreams come in all shapes and sizes, but it is important to always know what your limits are. Your dreams will take you far in life, but they can also hold you back when things get tough. I dream of a better world where instead of fighting, we can work together. I know that I cannot wave a magic wand to make this happen, but I also know that I am capable of great things.
I want to use my career to help others and make the world just a little bit better. When I was in high school, math, and science were my favorite subjects, especially calculus and physics. I also have a creative side, since I love to build with LEGO and play Minecraft. If you put all of this together, you can see why I want to become an Architect. I can help so many people while doing something I love, and my dreams will come true. My biggest dream is to help people design and build homes where they can raise their families. I want people to enjoy every aspect of their home, and that my home is passed down from generation to generation.
I will be attending Pennsylvania College of Technology to earn my Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in Mathematics. This degree program is five years in length and will require me to go abroad for one of those years. Once this is completed, I will go on to complete the exams to become a licensed Architect. My degree may not change the entire world, but I know that I will change the lives of so many people with the homes that I build. I plan to make every building sustainable and eco-friendly because I care about our planet's future. I also want to make sure that every building is affordable because everyone deserves a place to live.
I have many crazy wild dreams, and I am going to try my very best to achieve every one with my career as an Architect. The housing market is getting too out of hand, and I believe that it is going to get worse if we do not do something about it soon. There are too many homeless people on the streets, and I think that it is just plain wrong. I hope that someday every person can have a roof over their head, and my degree will be one step towards that goal. Your generosity can help me achieve my dreams, and I want you to know that your scholarship will go towards something greater than ourselves. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

All of my hard work in moving through the ranks and earning merit badges got me to the final step of the process, my Eagle Scout Project. I needed to complete a service project where I would have to use my leadership skills to organize my troop to fundraise and construct my plans. I decided I wanted to help my town, because they had recently put in a walking trial, but couldn’t finish it. For my project, I built benches for people to sit, and bird boxes for people to watch. I also installed trash cans to keep the area clean, and milkweed to add to the scenery. Overall, the project was a big success, and I was able to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.
In my Youth, I dedicated much of my time to volunteering and community service, and I plan to keep at it as an adult. I will be attending Pennsylvania College of Technology to earn a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
I will still volunteer at my local soup kitchen and food drive so that I can make sure no one goes hungry. As I said before, acts of kindness and selflessness make a huge difference in people’s lives, even if they are small. If enough people join together we can make big changes in the world, and I believe that we will benefit as more people embody selflessness. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a good candidate for this scholarship.

I have dedicated much of my youth to the Boy Scouts of America because I believe that healing others is the right thing to do. I was in kindergarten when I first joined Cub Scouts, and now at eighteen years of age, I am glad that my mother discovered scouting and signed me up. Over the years of my scouting career, I have participated in many volunteering and community service projects with my troop, and I feel it has made me a better person overall. I have worked hard to earn each rank with scouting, and I even earned ninety-five out of the one-hundred-and-thirty-five possible merit badges. Once I earned the Life rank, I was ready to complete my service project to earn the final rank, Eagle Scout.
For this project, I needed to use my leadership skills to construct and fund a project for my community with help from my troop. I decided to do my project on my town’s newly installed walking trail. My town mostly comprises elderly people, so I build benches along the trail for people to sit on. On the other side of the path, I installed bird boxes, so that people could watch the birds as they sat. Next to the birdboxes, I planted Milkweed to add to the overall scenery of the area. Finally, I put trash cans along the path to make sure that the place stays clean. My town was so excited when they saw the finished product, and it didn’t even cost them anything. Earning the rank of Eagle Scout is by far my greatest achievement, and it is going to open so many doors for me in the future.
I am going to college to get this degree because I want to continue the service to others that I started in the Boy Scouts of America. I hope to one day achieve something even greater than Eagle Scout, and I cannot wait to help so many more people with my career. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.
Stacy T. Mosley Jr. Educational Scholarship
I will be attending the Pennsylvania College of Technology to earn my Bachelor of Architecture degree. After I graduate from college, I will be taking the exams to become a licensed Architect. There are many reasons why I am choosing to further my education, but it comes down to the fact that I want to be able to do something that I will enjoy. I have experienced first-hand the wonders that volunteering brings to you from my years as a Boy Scout, so I want to continue helping others with my career. My Eagle Scout Project has shown me that small acts of community service will go a long way, so I will use my career to expand upon my influence.
I have always loved math and science in school, so it is only right to start a career in those fields. Throughout my childhood, I would build with LEGO and play Minecraft, which ultimately pushed me to pursue Architecture. Money is always a factor for everyone, but as long I am enjoying what I do, money isn’t everything. I will make sure that every home that I design and build is eco-friendly and sustainable so that we can preserve this planet for many years. My buildings will all be affordable so that everyone will be able to have a place to raise a family. I have always wanted to be able to do something that will make a difference in the world, and Architecture is going to be just that.
I am applying for this scholarship because college is very expensive. I do not qualify for free grants from the government, and therefore I will have to take out student loans to pay for college. This scholarship will be a huge help to me and my family, and it would be greatly appreciated if you designated me as the winner of this scholarship. With this scholarship, I will be able to graduate from college with less debt. You can make my dreams come true, and I assure you that I will not let you down. I know that I can achieve anything that I put my mind to, and I will never give up until I have done great things in this world.
Neither of my parents had the best childhood, and they were not able to go to college. However, they both worked hard to make ends meet, and they did their very best to give me the best life they could. In school, my father never really applied himself, and he ended up going to a trade school for welding. On the other hand, my mother was a good student in school, and she was able to get some grant money to go to college. Unfortunately, she ran out of money and was one class short of graduating from college. She never was able to go back and finish, so that is ultimately what drives me to pursue college to earn my degree. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

I put my best effort into everything I do, and I always prioritize what I am truly passionate about. I participate in an after-school chess club with my friends, and I love every minute of it. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and increasing my skills at the same time. I know for sure that I will be joining the chess club when I get to college. I have also been in Boy Scouts for many years, and I have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. It was a long and hard process where I had to use the many skills that I have learned to conduct a service project for my town’s walking path.
I can confidently say that I have all my future goals figured out. From a very young age, I have known what I wanted to do with my life. Since I love math and science and like to build things with LEGO, I knew that I had to do something involving those skills. That I why my biggest dream is to become an Architect, and I will do everything I can to make that happen. I will be attending Pennsylvania College of Technology to complete a five-year program in which one of those years will be spent abroad. After completing my Bachelor of Architecture degree, I plan to take the exams to become a licensed Architect. With my degree as an Architect, I will be able to help so many people design and build a home for them to raise a family in.
My underlying goal in life is to do something meaningful that will change the world, and I want to be able to have fun along the way. A Bachelor Of Architecture will not only make all of this possible, but it will make my parents proud of the fact that I worked hard to achieve something that no one else in my family could achieve before. I believe math is important for everyone to learn because it is the subject that we use the most in our everyday lives. No matter what job you are doing, you need to have basic knowledge of math when you receive your paycheck. You also should know how taxes are calculated to make sure nothing goes wrong. When you are in-store shopping, it's good to be able to calculate how much everything is going to cost, and you should know how to use a calculator pretty well. I know I will need to know a lot about math for my career as an Architect because I will need to calculate measurements and angles for my designs.
Overall, math is important for a lot of reasons, and think people should learn more about math, even if they do not need it for their job. Increasing your problem-solving and strategy skills will help you in any situation. You will be a better employee, and this may even get you a raise. Every single job that exists has some kind of math that you will need to know how to do. Math can be difficult for many to learn, but I believe that it is worth the effort to learn. Learning math will help you to learn other important skills that would be needed for the job you want to pursue, which is why I think it is the most important thing that you will learn in school.
There is not just one thing about math that makes it my favorite subject in school. I love math because it has so much more to offer. The other subjects reach a point where they plateau on what you can learn, but math never stops multiplying on what can be learned. Now that I am a senior, I feel like I have reached a point where it just gets boring and repetitive. On the other hand, I believe that math and science still have so much to offer. Although math and science are both my favorite subjects in school, math is by far my favorite subject. Working with numbers and variables challenges my mind and allows me to grow as a person. As I move on from High School to college, I hope to expand my knowledge in math.
Throughout my years in school, my math classes generally have been easy for me, but when I decided to take more advanced classes in high school, I liked the challenges that the classes afforded me. From that point on, I wanted to challenge myself even more and get as good as I can at math. I have never really liked reading books, and I am not too keen on public speaking. Unlike the other subjects, math does not involve reading and public speaking very much, so it is one of the reasons that makes math so appealing to me. I want to learn everything there is to learn with math, and I never want to stop using it. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

Students with medical conditions have disadvantages that many people do not consider. These disadvantages make simple tasks more difficult, and the students with these disadvantages may feel left out or not cared about. I believe this is a huge problem in our education system. I know from experience that having asthma and allergies can cause a huge roadblock in your life. Asthma has caused me to not be able to do many things that otherwise would be easily doable. I am forced to slow down in some things because I can get easily winded, and I always have to carry my inhaler with me wherever I go. It’s not a known thing that certain allergies can cause problems.
Everyone knows about the dangerous food allergies that can kill people, but many people look over the lesser ones. I know my allergies do not compare to some of the other allergies that people have, but they do cause problems, nonetheless. I am allergic to almost every plant there is. Even the slightest bit of pollen, dust, or mold can set my allergies off. It can send me into a non-stop sneezing fest, where I cannot stop for hours. Most days, my nose is stuffed, and I frequently get sore throats. I have not let these conditions hold me back, and I do not plan to ever let them. I have big dreams, and nothing will get in my way. I am going to go to college where I will complete a five-year program in which I will spend a year abroad.
I am going to complete a degree in Architecture, and I am going to attend classes to become a licensed Architect. My decision on what I wanted to do for my future career was simple and easy. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to work in the fields of math and science since those are my favorite subjects in school. I was not completely sure what exactly to do in those fields, but in high school, I did specifically find calculus and physics to be very interesting. I have also been playing Minecraft and LEGO since I was a young child, and now at the age of seventeen, I still love to play them. When I realized that these activities spark my interest and bring out my creativity, I knew that I needed to find a career that involved similar things to these activities.
When I found Architecture, I was so excited, because I had found something where I could be paid to do the one thing I loved to do the most; create. I want people to enjoy my builds, and create many memories within them. I want them to pass the homes I build down from generation to generation. I want to bring something to the world that will benefit everyone in some way, and I want to create something with my life that will immortalize me in my work well after I am gone. My parents have been there for me every step of the way, and I would not be here if it were not for them. They helped me realize that it is not my conditions that define me, but what I do with my life despite them. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate for your scholarship.

Overall, I believe that Architecture will be a great fit for me, and college is going to make my dreams come true. My underlying goal in life is to do something meaningful that will change the world, and I want to be able to have fun along the way. A Bachelor Of Architecture will not only make all of this possible, but it will make my parents proud of the fact that I worked hard to achieve something that no one else in my family could achieve before. I want to be able to support my parents when they retire to pay them back all that they have done for me. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, and I hope you consider me a good candidate for this scholarship.

My dream version of my future self would be a graduate from Pennsylvania College of Technology with a bachelor of Architecture degree, and I would also have my Architecture license. I am going to make this dream a reality by working hard, and applying for scholarships.

I may not be involved in everything that I can possibly be involved in, but I do put my best effort into everything I do. I participate in an after-school chess club with my friends, and I love every minute of it. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, and increasing my skills at the same time. I know for sure that I will be joining the chess club when I get to college. I’ve also been in Boy Scouts for many years, and I’ve achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. It was a long and hard process where I had to use the many skills that I’ve learned to conduct a service project for my town’s walking path. I beautified the area with benches, bird boxes, and milkweed at no cost to them, and I am proud of what I have accomplished.
I can confidently say that I have all of my goals for the future figured out. I’ve known from a very young age what I wanted to do with my life. Since I love math and science, and I like to build things with LEGO, I knew that I had to do something that involved those skills. Architecture seemed to be the best fit for me as it had math and physics involved, but I can use my creativity to the fullest. That is why I decided that I need to go to college, and get a degree in Architecture. I was so excited when I was accepted to Penn College, and I cannot wait to get started. I’m going to do a five-year degree, one of which will be spent abroad, and I’ll earn a Bachelor of Architecture instead of a Bachelor of Science.
I’m in my senior year of high school, so next year I’ll be off to college. Everyone knows college can be very expensive, and it can be very stressful to find the money to pay for it. Scholarships like this one will be a tremendous help to me, and it will give me the opportunity to graduate with a lot less debt. I hope that you consider me for this scholarship, because it will mean that I’ll be the first person in my family to get a full degree. One of the reasons why I try my best to get as many scholarships as possible is due to the fact that my mother was one class away from graduating from college, and I want to make her proud by accomplishing great things in my life. This scholarship will get me one step closer to achieving my dreams, and I cannot wait to help so many people with my career as an architect.
Scholarships will most likely be the biggest reason why I will be able to attend college, so I work hard on each one I complete. Sadly, I don’t think that scholarships will be enough for me to pay for college, but at least my parents will do everything they can to make my debt as small as possible. I’ll definitely be taking out student loans, as I’m not eligible for anything from the FAFSA. With a mix of scholarships, loans, and support from my parents, I’ll definitely be able to pay for and graduate from college. The road ahead will be scary at times, but I know that I’ll get through any obstacle in my way.
I believe that the main purpose of music is to express your feelings to those who are listening, and I feel like heavy metal is the best way to do just that. Everyone has their own way to do this, but I love listening to heavy metal to relieve stress. The loud and fast-paced music may be obnoxious to some, but I for one love how much effort and emotion goes into the music. When I am listening to heavy metal, all my problems just go away, and I can just relax.

I am in my senior year of high school, so this summer I will be going off to college. Everyone knows college can be very expensive, and it can be very stressful to find the money to pay for it. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to have parents who have helped me greatly with this process. They have given me so much advice for college, but the most important would definitely be applying for scholarships. My parents have always been there for me, so I cannot wait to make them proud. Scholarships will most likely be the biggest reason why I will be able to attend college, and I cannot wait to get there. I would also like to be able to help others who might also be in my situation, so hopefully, this essay can help those who may be struggling to pay for college.
First of all, one of the most important things to think about when applying for scholarships is to find ones that have a topic that you are passionate about. Some scholarships require you to write a lot of words, so it is good to find scholarships that are about things that you have a lot to talk about. Many of the scholarships that are out there require you to be a Senior in High School or already attending college, but there are a few out there that can be completed before you’re a Senior. When the time comes to start applying to colleges, you will have some scholarship money to get you started. I also learned that you should only really do one scholarship a day, so you do not get too overwhelmed and stressed out. This also allows you to let your brain rest, so you never get writer’s block, and you can take more time to write better essays.
Even though essay scholarships are the best ones to do to have a better chance of winning, I learned that non-essay scholarships are just as important. They are a lot easier to complete but you have less of a chance to win as so many other people are also applying for those same scholarships. Although non-essay scholarships are not good on their own, it is good to apply to a few each day on top of your one essay scholarship to maximize your chances of winning scholarship funds. It is also important to not skip over the scholarships with smaller amounts, because they have a lot fewer people applying to them, and they also add up really quickly. That being said, you should sometimes prioritize the scholarships that give you a lot more money.
These scholarships can have high traffic and can be difficult at times, but you should always try to apply for them. Some of them can even pay for a whole semester of college, so it is crucial that you apply to as many of them as possible. Now that I have talked about how scholarships can help you, I also want to mention that you should try to stay away from student loans as much as you can. They may seem easy now, but you will soon realize that you will be in a mountain of debt when you graduate. I am so glad that someone told me all of this, and I am glad to be able to write this essay to hopefully show others how to pay for college as well.
These are the many things that I have learned when applying for scholarships, and I believe that I am on the path to becoming financially literate. Even though I learned a lot about applying for scholarships, I know that I still have a lot more to learn. I plan on using what I have learned to properly finance myself for college, and I hope to learn more to make sure that I am using my money wisely and efficiently in the future. I hope to be able to use these scholarships and other financial strategies to come out of college with minimal debt, and I hope to not burden my parents too much in the process. I hope you consider me a good candidate for this scholarship, and thank you for taking the time to read my essay.
Morgan Levine Dolan Community Service Scholarship
I am going to go to college and complete a five-year program where one of those years will be spent abroad. I am going to complete a degree in Architecture, because I want to become a licensed Architect. My decision on what I wanted to do for my future career was simple and easy. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to work in the fields of math and science, since those are my favorite subjects in school. I was not completely sure what to do in those fields, but in high school, I did specifically find calculus and physics to be very interesting. I have also been playing Minecraft and LEGO since I was a young child, and now at the age of eighteen, I still love to play them. When I realized that these activities spark my interest and bring out my creativity, I knew that I needed to find a career that involved similar things to these activities. This is what finalized my career choice to be an Architect, because I want to be able to use my creativity to design homes and other buildings for people to enjoy. At this point, I am dead set on going to college, because it is the only thing between me and my career in Architecture. It just would not be possible without it. Now, everyone knows that college can be very expensive, and not many people can afford to attend. Luckily there are many different kinds of ways to solve this problem, and many people have access to these solutions. Sadly, for me, I am stuck in a hard place. My family is right in the middle where we make just enough money to not qualify for any federal or state grants, but we do not make enough money to afford to pay for college. This means that I will be forced to take out big loans that I will have to pay back with high interest. This is a lot for someone who is just coming out of college to handle. This is where you and many other people who offer scholarships come in. With this scholarship, you can help offset some of those costs. You can help make my dreams possible, and put a brand-new Architect out into the world. My parents have been there for me the entire time, and they even are going to help pay some of the money. You can also lift the burden off of their shoulders with this scholarship. I hope to one day be able to repay them for all that they have done for me, and this scholarship is just the beginning. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.
Learner Math Lover Scholarship
There is not just one thing about math that makes it my favorite subject in school. I love math, because it has so much more to offer. The other subjects reach a point where they plateau on what you can learn, but math never stops multiplying on what can be learned. Now that I am a senior, I feel like I have reached a point where it just gets boring and repetitive. On the other hand, I believe that the maths and sciences still have so much to offer. Although math and science are my favorites, math is easily my favorite.
Working with numbers and variables challenges my mind and allows me to grow as a person. As I move on from High School to college, I hope to expand my knowledge in the maths. Throughout my years in school, my math classes generally have been easy for me, but when I decided to take more advanced classes in high school, I really liked the challenges that the classes afforded me. From that point on, I wanted to challenge myself even more and get as good as I can at math. I have never really liked reading books, and I am not too keen on public speaking. Unlike the other subjects, math does not involve the reading and public speaking very much, so it is one of the reasons that makes math so appealing to me. I want to learn everything there is to learn with math, and I never want to stop using it.
I love math so much that I have decided to pursue a career in it. I know that I also want to have a little bit of science involved and be able to use my creativity, so I narrowed my career choice down to just one. I am going to college to complete a five-year program in which one of those years will be spent abroad. I am going to complete a degree in Architecture, and go on to become a licensed Architect. I know that I will also have to pass a large test to get my license, which I am sure will have a lot of math on it. In high school, I found calculus and physics very interesting, so this gave me a good starting point for what I wanted to do.
Scorenavigator Financial Literacy Scholarship
I may not know everything there is about being financially literate, but I try to do everything I can to make sure that I am on the right path. I hope to one day be able to say that I am financially literate, and I hope to also be able to share what I have learned with others. For starters, I am currently doing this scholarship, because I know that it is the best thing, financially speaking, to do right now. I am in my senior year of high school, so next year I will be off to college. Everyone knows college can be very expensive, and it can be very stressful to find the money to pay for it. I would like to be able to help others who might also be in my situation, so hopefully, this essay can help those who may be struggling to pay for college.

Donald A. Baker Foundation Scholarship
Everyone has at least one person who has helped them in some way to reach a goal or to just receive the support they need. I am grateful for having a family that cares a lot about me, and they have supported me throughout my life thus far. Each of my family members has helped me in some way to reach my goals, but one person in particular has gone above and beyond for me. My mother has been there for me since the beginning, and she will not stop until I have succeeded in life. I am proud to call her my mother, and there hasn’t been a single day where she hasn’t lived up to that role. I have seen how most parents just do the bare minimum for their children. They supply food, clothes, a roof over their heads, and nothing more. These kids are forced to get a job while also having to attend school, and sometimes they even have to buy their own clothes and food.
I am very glad that my mother is different, and that I do not have to go through the same hardships as other kids. She has always been there for me, and she has always given me the help I needed. She took care of all my needs, so I could put full attention into my schoolwork. She is always there to help me with my schoolwork, and I can always count on her to help me with any projects I have to do for school. I never have to worry about having food on the table or clean clothes, because my mother is always there to support me. She has taught me various things about how to live on my own, so that I will be prepared when I am older. She taught me how to properly do my wash, and how to cook different meals. She even gave me a little lesson on how to do taxes, and how to have good finances. She struggles every day to give me the best life that she can give.
She always knows what is best for me, especially when I do not know myself. This is exactly why my mother is my role model, and I hope that I can be just like her someday. I must be the luckiest person on the planet to have a mother as amazing as mine. I idolize every aspect of her, and I just don’t understand how others cannot be more like her. The whole reason why I am completing all of these scholarships is that I do not want her to have to pay so much money for me to go to college. It is the least I can do to repay everything my mother has done for me. My relationship with my mother will definitely not end anytime soon, and I will always stay in touch with her even after leaving for college. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship, and I hope that you consider me a good candidate.
Ward AEC Scholarship
I can confidently say that I am a simple kind of person, and that’s okay. I may not be involved in everything that I can possibly be involved in, but I put my best effort into everything I do. I love all my math and science classes, and I also attend after-school chess club meetings, because I love to play chess with my friends. I always try to learn new strategies, and build on my logistical skills.
I am always volunteering at our local soup kitchen because I know that there are less fortunate people than me and that they really need that food for their families. That is why I always participate in the annual town-wide food drive so that we can get the extra food that people do not need to those who need it.
I decided to build five benches along the walking path that runs next to the river in my town’s recreation park for people to sit and take a break.
I am going to go to college and complete a five-year program where one of those years will be spent abroad. I am going to earn a degree in Architecture, because I want to be able to design and build homes for people to live in. I assure you that, with this scholarship, I will graduate from college and do amazing things in this world. I plan to change the field by pushing my eco-friendly ideas to revolutionize new ways to design buildings. I cannot wait to be able to help so many people create a home that they can raise a family in. I hope to use my degree to build affordable and sustainable buildings for all kinds of purposes.

I have also earned ninety-five merit badges along the way, and I am now helping the new scouts who have just joined the troop. I hope that one day they earn the rank of Eagle Scout too.

Youth Equine Service Scholarship
Volunteering has had a huge impact on my life. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it were not for community service. Even though I love to volunteer any chance I get, it was not always the case. There was a time when I did not understand the true potential of volunteering. I believed that community service was just work that you did for free. One of the biggest reasons I was not a big fan of volunteering at first was because I have been in Cub Scouts and then Boy Scouts since I was in kindergarten, so I was surrounded by community service and other related activities.
After a while, it just seemed to be repetitive and boring. Sometimes I even thought about dropping out. Looking back on it now, I now know that my beliefs were far from the truth. I know that even though you do not get a monetary payment, you never leave empty-handed. You always leave a better person for every volunteer work or community service you do. You can meet new people, get set up with new opportunities, and even get an insight into what career you want to pursue. All of my friends from school would go to different charity events and volunteer for different organizations.
They would try to get me to come along, but I always came up with some excuse. One time they asked me to come to our local soup kitchen to see how things are done, and finally agreed just to stop them from asking me to go. I wish I had decided to go with them a lot sooner. At first, I just watched them give out food, but as I looked around, I saw so many people who were in need of food and other supplies. Something deep inside me clicked because I finally realized what the purpose was of doing volunteering work. I didn’t fully comprehend how good my life was compared to others.
I never had to worry about having food on the table or about having electricity and running water. Many others have to worry about these things every day. Ever since that experience, I try to volunteer everywhere I can. From then on, I try to help those who are not as fortunate as me, because I now know that I am not doing it for me, but for them. Everyone deserves to have the same opportunities to succeed, and I now believe that it is my responsibility to make sure this happens. I also help wherever I can around my town. I learned that volunteering provides me with many skills that will help me with my future career. I also learned that community service looks good on college and job applications, which is a plus.
Most importantly volunteering has taught me so many things about myself that I would not know otherwise. It has shown me that I can be a very selfless person when there is someone in need. It gave me a whole new perspective on Boy Scouts, and I would have never been able to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout if it were not for my new understanding of volunteer work. Looking back, I cannot believe that there was a time when I did not like volunteering, because now, I cannot get enough of it. It has made me a completely different person, and this change is definitely for the better. It’s the best thing that has ever happened to me. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.
So when you ask if it is important to work better to understand the nature of our universe, I say emphatically yes. Since the universe is infinite, I believe that there must be another planet that is identical to ours, and maybe even multiple. We need to work harder to achieve a viable way to travel long distances in a short amount of time.
It literally takes six months to travel to Mars, and it’s the planet that is right next to us. Math and science have always been my favorites subject in school, and I love learning about everything there is to do with space. The Big companies like NASA and SpaceX need to join together with more government aid, and put full effort toward the research and development of new technologies that will allow us to explore the unknown universe.
I also believe that one day we might be visited by aliens, and we just need to hope that they are friendly toward our species. That being said, I hope that we are friendly toward them, and maybe they could even share some of their technologies with us. Even though it would be nice, it is probably a very low chance that we get discovered by another sentient species from space. With the extra money and the extra hands, I believe that we can create something to be able to explore and get an understanding of the nature of our universe. I believe that we can be more than just a small speck in the universe if we just try. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.
North Star Dreamers Memorial Scholarship
Everyone knows that college can be expensive, and that makes the next few years a little bit scary. Everyone has to fill out the FAFSA, which, if eligible, will get free money from the government to pay for college. For some reason though, the government considers my parents as making too much money to get free grants from the government. The only thing I can get from them is a $5,000 loan, which I will have to pay back. This loan will not even be able to pay half of my tuition, and I will be forced to take out private student loans to pay the rest. My parents and I are not in the position to pay for college, because we are right in the middle where we do not make enough money to afford big things like college but make just enough money to not get compensation from the government. I most likely will graduate college with a large amount of debt, while trying to pay for other things like food, and a place to live. I know I will not be able to get help from my parents forever, and I need a better way to pay for college. This scholarship will be a huge help in achieving my goals and dreams, and I hope you consider me a worthy candidate. With this scholarship, I will be able to graduate from college with just a little bit less debt. You can help make my dreams come true, and I assure you that I will not let you down. I know that I can achieve anything that I put my mind to, and I will never give up until I have done great things in this world. With my degree as a licensed Architect, I will be able to help so many people design and build a home for them to raise a family in. I hope to be able to design sustainable and affordable homes for everyone to enjoy, and I plan to use eco-friendly designs in all of my buildings. I desperately want to attend college to fulfill my dream of becoming an Architect. If you offer me this scholarship, I assure you that the money will not go to waste. I will make sure that I graduate from college with my degree, and I will change the world. As I said before, I can change the world in big ways with my degree as an Architect, and you can help me make that happen by providing me with this scholarship. I know that there are others out there that are less fortunate than me, but I can confidently say that I am one of the hardest workers that will apply for this scholarship. I have always wanted to make the world a better place, and you can help make that happen. I can not wait to start my journey in college, and I am excited to see where my career takes me. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

I can not wait to be able to help so many people create a home that they can raise a family in. I hope to use my degree to build affordable and sustainable buildings for all kinds of purposes.

I am proud to say that I have achieved great things so far in my life, and I hope to continue doing great things for myself, my community, and the world. When I earn my degree in Architecture, I know that I will do many great things, and change the field forever. I cannot wait to get started on my journey into college, but it all comes down to this scholarship and others to get me there. There is one thing that stands out from the others, and I cannot wait to share it with you. However, I first need to give a little bit of a backstory before I can tell you about my experience.
I joined Cub Scouts when I was in Kindergarten, and then I moved on to Boy Scouts when I entered fifth grade. The Boy Scouts Of America is a non-profit organization that teaches us the skills we need to succeed in adulthood. I’ve done my best to live up to the meaning of scouting, and I’ve always lived by the motto, “Do A Good Turn Daily”. I absolutely love the program, and I did everything I could possibly do. I even earned ninety-five merit badges while I was still a youth. I worked my way up the ranks until I got to my Eagle project. There were a lot of leadership and communication skills that I had to use well, which are taught to scouts from a young age.
Shortly before I began thinking about my project, my town had built a walking trail by the small river that runs through our town, but they ran out of money to be able to do anything else with it. When I saw this trail, I knew that my project had to do something with it, so I planned to do something that will benefit everyone who uses it. I told my town’s counsel about my plans, and they were very happy to hear that I would do something this big for them that didn’t even cost them anything. However, it was not all smooth sailing, because COVID-19 greatly affected the number of people that could work on the project at once. I even thought that I might not be able to complete the project because of this.
I decided to build five benches along the trail for people to sit and take a break, and they can also watch the fish in the river. I also installed bird boxes on the other side of the trail as the benches, so that people can watch the birds as they sit and relax. Then, I planted milkweed plants around the bird boxes to attract monarch butterflies to add to the scenery. Many people like to fish there so I also provided trash cans, because I do not want the place to be ruined with garbage. I wanted to preserve the wildlife in the area as well.
With the help of my troop members, I got this all done without the town having to do anything. I also got my troop to help me do a fundraiser so that the town did not have to pay for it either. This project meant a lot to me, and it made me so happy to see that so many people are benefiting and enjoying something that I did for my community. I definitely plan on using the skill I’ve learned to make the world a better place in my career as an Architect. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

Climate Conservation Scholarship
Climate change is a big problem for our planet, and if we do not do something about it soon, it might be too late for us to save the planet. We all know that the planet naturally goes through hot and cold cycles, but humans have been greatly affecting this cycle. We are currently using roughly eight Earths worth of resources, and polluting the planet without considering the consequences. That is why I am very conscious about what I do to the environment. For starters, I ride the bus to school every day, which pollutes the atmosphere with carbon monoxide. When I travel to other places I drive a car, which does the same thing. There is really nothing I can do about this, because electric cars are scarce and too expensive. I have a little garden in my yard to help offset this. I also like to compost some of the fruits and vegetables that I buy, to fertilize my garden. I also know that this helps the environment, because many artificial fertilizers are bad for the environment. They can wash away and seep into the water table. This can harm many people who drink that water. When I need to buy certain products, I like to buy from local farmers, because I know that big corporations use harmful chemicals on their products. They are constantly polluting the environment. Even though it may not do much, every little action helps against the big problem. I use a lot of plastic products, which I know are not all being disposed of properly. I always recycle my plastics and hold on to my aluminum products to cash in, so that I can try to lessen some of the plastic waste in the ocean. This may not make much of a difference, but if enough people start doing this, it can make a difference. I know that I use a lot of paper products, which leads to deforestation when too many people are using them, but I try to not be wasteful. Using paper products is much better than using plastics, so all we need to do is plant more trees. These are some of the things I do that I know impact the environment, and what I do to counteract these things. I hope that more people realize what is happening to our planet, and step up to do the right thing. We can make a positive everlasting impact on our future if we work together as one. When the time to start applying for college, you will have some scholarship money to get you started. I also learned that you should only really do one scholarship a day, so you do not get too overwhelmed and stressed out. This also allows you to let your brain rest, so you never get writer’s block, and you can take more time to write better essays. Even though essay scholarships are the best ones to do to get a better chance of winning, I learned that non-essay scholarships are just as important. They are a lot easier to complete but you have less of a chance to win as so many other people are also applying for those same scholarships. Although non-essay scholarships are not good on their own, It is good to apply to a few each day on top of your one essay scholarship to maximize your chances of winning scholarship money. These are the many things that I have learned when applying for scholarships, and I believe that I am on the path to becoming financially literate. Even though I learned a lot about applying for scholarships, I know that I still have a lot more to learn. I plan to take financial classes to improve my skills, and learn how to better finance my money in the future. I may even want to minor in economics in college to get a better understanding of how our money system works. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

I dream of a day when people all around the world come together to make the world a better place, and I believe that it all starts with the actions of individuals. That is why I strive every day to make a difference in my community, because even though it is not a big difference now, it is the beginning of something greater. I love to do community service and other volunteer work, because I know that it is for a good cause and that the people of my town will be better off because of it. I am always volunteering at our local soup kitchen, because I know that there are people who are less fortunate than me and that they really need that food for their families. That is why I always lead the town-wide food drive so that we can get the extra food that people do not need to those who need it. I am at every town meeting, and I am usually the first to step up to get things done. I share all my ideas and ways to implement them. I even run the local trash sweep to clean up litter around our town. The biggest reason that I joined The Boy Scouts of America is that I wanted to help others that are not just in my town. When it came time to do my eagle project, I wanted to do the biggest service to my community yet. Since we are a small town, we are a little bit short on money. They put in a nice walking trail by the river that goes through town, but they ran out of funds to add anything else to the trail. I decided that I was going to complete the walking trail for my community at no cost to them. When I told the board about this, they were so happy that I was going to do this big project for them. With the help of my troop members, I conducted a fundraiser to pay for all the expenses of the project. Since my town is composed of mostly elderly people, I decided to build five benches along the trail with bird boxes for people to enjoy. When I showed the board the final project, they were shocked and excited. They did not realize the extent I would go for my community. This project means the world to me, and it makes me so happy to see how it has positively affected so many people. All of these experiences I had made me a better person, and I believe that it is making the world a better place one project at a time. It is organizations like The Boy Scouts Of America that will shape the world’s views on community service and making the world better as a whole. I plan to keep serving my community, and when I get my degree in Architecture, I plan to expand my area of effect. One day my actions will be big enough to have an everlasting effect on the world, and I can not wait to start my journey to get there. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

I have never been in foster care, but I do understand what kids have to go through in foster care. All children deserve to have a loving home where they can feel safe, and it’s not right that kids are forced into foster care. When I am in school, I love all of my math and science classes, which is why I chose the career that I am going to do. I am not a big fan of history or English classes, so I tend to not take very many of them. I also attend the after-school chess club meetings, because I love to play chess with my friends. I always try to learn new strategies, and build on my logistical skills. The most important extracurricular activity that I took part in would probably be my scouting career. I have been in Cub Scouts from Kindergarten to fifth grade and then Boy Scouts up to my eighteenth birthday. I have gotten so much from the program, and I am glad that I stuck with it all the way. One of the biggest things that I have ever achieved, possibly the biggest I will ever achieve, is the rank of Eagle Scout. There has been a lot of hard work put into achieving this award, but it was all worth it. The final part needed to achieve the rank was a huge project for my community at the cost of around one thousand dollars to complete. With the help of my troop members, I was able to do fundraisers to completely fund the project. They also helped me to complete the project itself. My town did not have to contribute anything toward this project, and this is what made me the proudest. I installed benches, trashcans, and bird boxes along the trail that runs next to my town. The project has made an everlasting impact on my community, and my Eagle Scout award has had an everlasting impact on my life. I am going to go to college and complete a five-year program where one of those years will be spent abroad. I am going to complete a degree in Architecture, because I want to become a licensed Architect. As an Architect, I can help so many people get a home that they can afford. It is important for everyone to have the opportunity to buy a house to support their family. I have always wanted to make the world a better place, and you can help make that happen. With my degree, I want to come back to my community, and other underdeveloped area, to improve the infrastructure. I believe that we need to focus more on eco-friendly buildings, and I hope to spread those ideals to others in the field. I also hope to bring something to the field that no one has ever contributed before. With this scholarship, I will be able to do great things, and I can not wait to start my journey in college. I believe that volunteering for something you care about is important and a valuable experience that you will keep for the rest of your life. I for one love to help others whenever I can, because not only does it make the lives of those who are less fortunate a little bit better, but it also gives me a sense of purpose in my life. There are many volunteering experiences that I have done so far, and I do not plan to ever stop. I have been in Cub Scouts and then Boy Scouts since I was in kindergarten, and I have always lived by the motto, “Do A Good Turn Daily”. I use what I have learned to help those who cannot help themselves, and I am glad that I was able to experience scouting. I am also a Brotherhood member in the Order Of The Arrow, which has opened my eyes to service's true meaning. I no longer think of it as labor or charity work, but as an experience that will stay with me forever. I have been forever changed by the program, and I know that it has been for the better. I volunteer in our local soup kitchen, because I want to make sure that everyone in my town is taken care of and gets what they need. I believe that no one should go to bed hungry, and that it is my obligation to make sure that I help as many people as I can. I also volunteer with our local food and clothing drive so that people with extra food and clothing can get them to those who might need them. I walk door to door in my entire town to pick up any food or clothing items that anyone has put out to donate, because I know that not everyone can participate as much as they want to. Everyone has their own lives that bring all kinds of challenges, so I want to make sure that everyone can have the opportunity to help out those who may be less fortunate than them. Everyone knows that college can be expensive, and that makes the next few years a little bit scary. Everyone has to fill out the FAFSA, which, if eligible, will get free money from the government to pay for college. For some reason though, the government considers my parents as making too much money to get free grants from the government. The only thing I can get from them is a $50,000 loan, which I have to pay back. that will not even be able to pay half of my tuition, and I will be forced to take out private student loans to pay the rest. My parents and I are not in the position to pay for college, because we are right in the middle where we do not make enough money to afford big things like college but make just enough money to not get compensation from the government. I desperately want to attend college to fulfill my dream of becoming an Architect. If you offer me this scholarship, I assure you that the money will not go to waste. I will make sure that I graduate from college with my degree, and I will change the world. As an Architect, I can help so many people get a home that they can afford. I have always wanted to make the world a better place, and you can help make that happen. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

At first, I had no idea how I was going to pay for college. I received many different tips
on how to solve this problem, and I got overwhelmed very quickly. I eventually was able
to figure it all out, but maybe this essay can help others not have to go through the
same experience as I did. I have learned many things when it comes to applying for
scholarships. There are many different kinds of scholarships out there to apply to.
Some are more difficult to complete than others, and they have a wide range of
amounts that you could win. So far in my experience of applying for scholarships, I have
picked up on some good strategies to apply to as many scholarships as possible without
getting too overwhelmed and wanting to quit. First of all, one of the most important
things to think about when applying for scholarships is to find ones that have a topic
that you are passionate about. Some scholarships require you to write a lot of words, so
it is good to find scholarships that are about things that you have a lot to talk about.
This way you will not have to think as much when you are writing essays for various
scholarships. Another thing is that you want to start applying for scholarships as early
as possible. Many of the scholarships that are out there require you to be a Senior in
High School or already attending college, but there are a few out there that can be
completed before you’re a Senior. When the time comes when you should start
applying for college, you will have some scholarship money to get you started. Even
though essay scholarships are the best ones to do to get a better chance of winning, I
learned that non-essay scholarships are just as important. They are a lot easier to
complete but you have less of a chance to win as so many other people are also
applying to those same scholarships. You should not focus too much on non-essay
scholarships, because it is a lot harder to win them. Although non-essay scholarships
are not good on their own, It is good to apply to a few each day on top of your one essay
scholarship to maximize your chances of winning scholarship money. It is also
important to not skip over the scholarships with smaller amounts, because they have a
lot fewer people applying to them, and they also add up really quickly. That being said,
you should sometimes prioritize the scholarships that give you a lot more money. These
scholarships can have high traffic and can be difficult at times, but you should always try
to apply to them. Some of them can even pay for a whole semester of college, so it is
crucial that you apply to as many of them as possible. Finally, you should try to stay
away from student loans as much as you can. Apply for as many scholarships as
possible, as you might be able to win enough money to pay for college, money which
you do not have to pay back. On the other hand, student loans are an amount of cash
that you will eventually have to pay back with interest. These are the many things that I
have learned when applying for scholarships that will help me to lessen my student debt
in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

I am passionate about a lot of things, but there is one thing that I am set on achieving. I am most passionate about my education, and I will not stop until I achieve my educational dreams. I was not completely sure what exactly to do in those fields, but in high school, I did specifically find calculus and physics to be very interesting. I also have been playing Minecraft and LEGO since I was a young child, and now at the age of eighteen, I still love to play them. When I realized that these activities spark my interest and bring out my creativity, I knew that I needed to find a career that involved similar things to these activities. When I found Architecture, I was so excited, because I had found something where I could be paid to do the one thing that I loved to do the most; create. I know that I will be able to overcome every obstacle I come across. Some may even seem that they are impossible, but I will never give up. I have achieved this confidence from Boy Scouts. To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout I had to complete a community service project. The project would benefit the residents of my town, and it would not burden them with costs or labor. With the help of my troop members, I was able to do fundraisers to completely fund the project. They also helped me to complete the project itself. My town did not have to contribute anything toward this project, and this is what made me the proudest. I installed benches, trashcans, and bird boxes along the trail that runs next to my town. As I mentioned before, I am A Boy Scout, so I am volunteering with my troop all the time. I am always helping out at our local soup kitchen, because no one should ever go to bed hungry. I also pick up food at people’s houses for our local food drive to help those who can not afford to buy food themselves. Everything I do makes the world just a little bit better, even if it does not seem that way, and I hope more people step up to help others in need. I can confidently say that I am a simple kind of person, and that’s okay. I may not be involved in everything that I can possibly be involved in, but I put my best effort into everything I do. The project has made an everlasting impact on my community, and my Eagle Scout award has had an everlasting impact on my life. As I mentioned before, I am going to be an Architect. To do this I must go to college for five years where one of those years will be spent abroad. This scholarship with many others will help offset these costs, and I will have to pay back a lot less money. My parents have done so much for me, and they are even going to try and pay some of the loans to help lessen the amount that I have to pay in the future. This scholarship can also lift some of that burden off of their shoulders as well. I want them to be able to retire someday with solid financials, and with my career as an Architect, I can even take care of them when they can not take care of themselves. Sometimes they have to buy their own clothes and food. I am very glad that my mother is different, and that I do not have to go through the same hardships as other kids. She has always been there for me, and she has always given me the help I needed. She took care of all my needs, so I could put full attention into my schoolwork. She always helps me with my schoolwork, and I can always count on her to help me with any projects I have to do for school. I never have to worry about having food on the table or having clean clothes to ware, because my mother is always there to support me. She has taught me various things about how to live on my own, so that I will be prepared when I am older. She taught me how to properly do my wash, and how to cook different meals. She even gave me a little lesson on how to do taxes, and how to have good finances. She always knows what is best for me, especially when I do not know myself. She signed me up for Cub Scouts all the way back in Kindergarten, because she knew that it would be a great experience for me. My relationship with my mother will definitely not end anytime soon, and I will always stay in touch with her even after I leave for college. Larry R. Jones Volunteer For Life Scholarship
I believe that volunteering for something that you care about is important, and it is a valuable experience that you will keep for the rest of your life. I for one love to help others whenever I can, because not only does it make the lives of those who are less fortunate a little bit better, but it also gives me a sense of purpose in my life. It brings joy to me when I see the happy faces whenever I am volunteering at the soup kitchen or handing out food at a food drive. There are many volunteering experiences that I have done so far, but for the most notable one that I have done, I first need to give some back story behind it. I have been in Cub Scouts since I was in Kindergarten, and then I moved on to Boy Scouts when I entered fifth grade. The Boy Scouts Of America is a non-profit organization that teaches us the skills we need to succeed in adulthood. I loved every minute of it, because I got to have fun while learning so many important things along the way. I learned how to work hard and become a strong leader with many different career paths to explore. It wasn’t until I crossed over to Boy Scouts that I really started to understand the value of volunteering. I worked my way up through the ranks with hard work, community service, and determination. When it finally came time to complete my Eagle Scout Project, I was excited to do something big for my community. I first had to propose my idea to the board, which went well since they were doing good financially at the time. Once I got the approval, I started fundraising right away. With the help of my troop members, I was able to raise enough money to complete my project. Since my town had just installed a new walking trail by the river, I wanted to do something to beautify the area. I also knew that my town consists of mostly elderly people that like to fish. Knowing this information, I decided to install five benches along the walking trail for people to sit and relax. After that, I put bird boxes and milkweed plants on the opposite side of the benches so that people can watch the birds and the butterflies as they sit. Finally, I put trash cans alongside benches, so that people can throw away their garbage after fishing or just hanging out. I am really proud of what I have accomplished, and it brings me joy to see so many people benefiting from the work that I have done. With all that being done, I have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and I never will stop being one. I may have not understood at the time, but I now realize the impact that scouting has had on my life. It has opened up so many doors for me, and I do not plan on stopping here. There are many different ways that we can combat climate change, and there is not just one answer to this problem. Climate change is a huge global problem that affects everyone around the world. Poor countries get hit the most by climate change, and many of them are struggling to survive. The issue is that rich countries like The United States of America, do not see many of the underlying problems that climate change is causing. This is why there is not a strong global effort to stop global warming, but luckily as the years go by, more and more people are realizing what is happening. There are many organizations popping up to combat global warming. These big corporations are only as powerful as people make them, so all we need to do is go after the consumers. If we show the public all the things that they are taking advantage of, and how it is affecting the planet, then we can force these companies to change their ways by boycotting them. I believe that this is the only way, because they care more about the bottom dollar than the environment. I also believe that it won’t matter how much we clean up the world, as long as there are things taking their place. We are planting new trees, cleaning up beaches, and protecting the wildlife, but none of this makes a difference when there are factories polluting the water. All of our trash just gets put on ships in the middle of the ocean, and when they sink, all of that garbage falls into the water. Forests are being cut down all the time, and it is just going to keep getting worse. Not only do we need to work together to help clean up the planet, but we need to also work together to come up with ways to combat further pollution and the use of our limited resources. I fear that if we don’t get ahead of climate change soon, we might not be able to stop it. Another thing is that many people do not realize how they can help, even if it is a small thing here and there. For instance, I always recycle my plastics and hold on to my aluminum products to cash in. This may not make much of a difference, but if enough people start doing this, it can make a difference. Holistic Health Scholarship
I think it is really important for teens to maintain all three types of their health, so they can live long and be happy. I see many teens in school that focus too much on their physical and nutritional health to stay “fit” while neglecting their mental health. There are too many teens that live their life through social media, and I believe that it is negatively affecting their mental health. They see others with this perfect body, even though it’s just a filter, and it makes them feel dumb and less of a person. This is a huge problem that is just getting worse as technology progresses. This is all important information that more people need to know, but that is not why I am writing this essay. I plan to share how I maintain my health with you, and I hope that this somehow helps others to get on the right path.
Nutritional health is probably the easiest out of the three to keep track of. I believe that it is important to always know what you are putting in your body, and luckily food packaging makes that easy. I always read the label to see what is in something before I buy it. I try to eat organic foods and stay away from processed foods as much as possible. This way I can keep all the bad chemicals out of my body. I also make sure to look up the brand to see if they have legitimate products or not. I also try not to eat a lot of food to keep the calories down. All of this keeps my nutritional health on track.
Physical health is harder than nutritional health to keep on track, but it can be done with a few easy steps. I exercise sometimes, but I try not to do it as much, because it can have some negative effects on your body. Honestly just getting outside and going for walks can keep you in shape if you properly take care of your nutritional health. I am not much of a sports person, but I do like to play with my friends in outdoor activities. These simple actions will keep your physical health in line.
Mental Health is probably the hardest to keep on track, because it is the most hidden. As I said previously, social media is one of the biggest factors in low mental health in school. Apps like Instagram and Snapchat run rampant through schools, and no one really knows what kind of damage they are causing. This is why I try to limit my social media usage, and I take my mental health very seriously. I like to be social and talk to everyone, but I never let peer pressure get to me. I do my best in school, and get good grades. I love to change out with my friends after school, but I am very picky with whom I chose to be my friend. I only chose the ones who will be there for me, and would bring me up not down.
This is everything that I do to maintain my health while I am in school. This is my last year of high school, so I will be going off to college soon. I do not plan on stopping what I am doing, and I hope these strategies keep working for me in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

Bicyclists face many problems on the road every day, and there are more car accidents with bicyclists than there are with pedestrians. Bicyclists must make sure they are safe at all times when they are riding on the road with other cars. The problem is that people just do not know about a lot of the laws associated with bicycling on the road. This problem is very destructive, because it causes many more accidents that could be prevented if everyone on the road followed the laws. Sadly, not everyone has the knowledge of these laws, but hopefully, I can provide some ideas to fix this problem. It is not just the ones riding the bicycles, but the people in the vehicles as well. Bicyclists travel a lot slower than cars, and they have a lot less protection against impacts. They are at a higher risk of getting seriously injured in an accident. As I said, the main reason why we have this problem is that people do not have the knowledge of the laws put in place to keep them safe. Not many bicyclists know that they must follow all the same laws that people who drive vehicles do. For instance, they must stop at stop signs and red lights before they can go through the intersection. They do not need to worry about speed signs, but it is good to keep a lookout for what the speed is so they can take precautions in those situations. Cars have built-in turn signals, so it is easy for people to signal where they are going. On the other hand, bicyclists do not have that luxury, therefore they must learn how to do hand signals to notify the other vehicles on the road of what they are doing. This can prevent cars from hitting bicyclists, because they did not know what the bicyclist was doing. Another thing is that bicyclists must follow the intersection rules. Normally people driving cars must let pedestrians go first at stop light intersections, then the cars going straight can go next. After that, people going right can go before people go left. At all-way stop signs, it is always first to come first go, after pedestrians cross the road. The problem is that many bicyclists think that they are like pedestrians, and get to go first. This is not the case, and a lot of times this can cause the bicyclist to get hit by cars. These are some of the laws that bicyclists need to follow to be safe on the road, but many of them just do not know about them. I believe this is where the government should step in to make sure that these laws are known by everyone. When new drivers go to take their test, they learn basic laws about bicyclists on the road, and how to avoid hitting them, but there is not much about being a bicyclist yourself. There need to be more programs for people to learn about these laws so that they can be safe on the road. More bicycle lanes can also help to fix these problems, and new signs can help direct traffic so that it is safer for bicyclists. These are just a few of the ways to fix this issue that will get worse as more and more people dive on the road. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.
Science Fiction Becomes Science Fact Scholarship
When I came across this scholarship, I had to read the statement a few times before I really understood what the underlying message was. Once I figured out that, I realized that I had to give my opinion on this matter, because I see it firsthand every day. I like to think of myself as a gamer, and I believe the people around me can also come to that conclusion. I play my fair share of games, and because of that, I interact with many people online. I have indeed noticed some changes in the accepted social norms over the years. I may have not been alive many years ago, but I have a basic understanding of how people acted before the internet. Everyone had to speak to one another in person, which meant that their actions were noticed by everyone around them. Now all of a sudden, there is this screen between you and others, and now you feel more comfortable doing things outside of the social norm. As we know, cyberbullying is a huge problem along with the effects of social media on teens. Now that you can be completely anonymous, people can get away with bad things on the internet that can harm themselves and others. This bullying dramatically hurts the mental health of teens as they participate in online activities. Bad people can also use the internet to prey on innocent children without being detected. Social media can have that same effect if used incorrectly. Teens base their lives too much on social media, and many of them live their lives through it. Apps like Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok get younger people hooked on them and never let go. Studies have shown that social media can have a negative effect on the mental health of teens, and even their physical health too. The worst part is that many teens do not realize what it is doing to their lives until it is too late. Teens are focusing too much on these social media apps than on their schoolwork or other extracurricular activities. It causes them to want to fix themselves, even though there is nothing wrong with them. This sometimes makes them feel like they are a lesser person, or that they do not matter. I believe that this does not make social media a bad thing, but it does show that it needs big improvements. We need to show that social media does not have to dictate our lives, but it can be a tool for great things. With all that being said, these effects do not just stay in our online life. It starts to affect the real world as well. Teens base their life on online gaming platforms and social media to the point where they begin living it in real life. This is exactly why social norms as a whole have changed so much over the years. The internet has become part of our life so much that it has become the new social norm, and I believe it will never stop affecting our lives. As I said before, I have seen all of this firsthand. I have seen how people act online, and I have seen people starting to act similarly to how they act online. I have also seen how social media runs wild in schools, and how it affects teens’ mental health. I completely believe that this phenomenon is more of a fact than a theory. I love my community very much, because we are all one big family that works together to make it the best town it can be. I love how everyone knows each other, and how everyone gets along. It is nice that new members of our town feel welcome right away, and how they are treated like they have always been there. This is why I love to do so much for my community, to give back what was graciously given to me. I attend every board meeting so that I can share my ideas, and I help out with anything they might need. I even help out with some fundraisers to get some extra cash for the town to fix roads and signs. I help out with our local food drive every year, because everyone deserves the same chance to succeed in life. I also help out in our local soup kitchen, because I love it when I see the smile on people’s faces after they just had a warm meal.
I have been in Cub Scouts and then Boy Scouts since I was in kindergarten, and I have always lived by the motto, “Do A Good Turn Daily”. When it came time for my Eagle Scout Project, I wanted to do something bigger than anything I have done before. I told the board counsel about my plans, and they were very happy to hear that I would do something this big for them that didn’t even cost them anything. Shortly before I began thinking about my project, my town had built a walking trail by the small river that runs through our town, but they ran out of money to be able to do anything else with it. When I saw this trail, I knew that my project had to do something with it, so I planned to do something that will benefit everyone who uses it. Since my town consists of mostly elderly people, I decided to build five benches along the trail for them to sit and take a break. I also installed bird boxes with milkweed plants on the other side of the trail as the benches so that people can enjoy the view as they sit and rest. Many people like to fish there so I also provided trash cans so that the place does not get littered up. With the help of my troop members, I got this all done without the town having to do anything. I also got my troop to help me do a fundraiser so that the town did not have to pay for it either. This project meant a lot to me, and it made me so happy to see that so many people are benefiting and enjoying something that I did for my community.
In the future, I plan to do so much more for my community, and I hope that others will step up to do the same. I am going to go to college to get a degree in Architecture, so I would love to come back to my community and use my skills to help out. With my Architecture degree, I will be able to fix some of the old houses, and create new ones. My town will be able to have many new residents, and be better than it ever was. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

I am going to go to college and complete a five-year program where one of those years will be spent abroad. I’m going to complete a degree in Architecture, because I want to become a licensed Architect. My decision on what I wanted to do for my future career was simple and easy. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to work in the fields of math and science, since those are my favorite subjects in school. I wasn’t completely sure what exactly I wanted to do in those fields, but in high school, I did specifically find calculus and physics to be very interesting. I also have been playing Minecraft and LEGO since I was a young child, and now at the age of seventeen, I still love to play them. When I realized that these activities spark my interest and bring out my creativity, I knew that I needed to find a career that involved similar things to these activities. When I found Architecture, I was so excited, because I had found something where I could be paid to do the one thing that I loved to do the most; create. This is what finalized my career choice as an Architect, because I want to be able to use my creativity to design homes and other buildings for people to enjoy. As I mentioned before, I’m fortunate enough to have wonderful parents who love me very much. They have done many things for me thus far that have gotten me to this point. Without them, I would not have gotten through the tough times in my life, and for that I’m grateful. I know that I have not gone through nearly as much as others, but I believe that my story is important enough to be told. Throughout my entire life so far I have had harsh allergies that can sometimes prevent me from doing things that others can. During the summer, I cannot stay outside for long periods of time, because I will start to sneeze uncontrollably. Sometimes this can go on for the entire rest of the day, and I will always wake up the next day with a sore throat and a blocked nose. Normally allergies can be an easy fix, but sadly mine will not go away. I’ve tried many different medications, shots, and nose sprays, but the symptoms never go away. I have also been diagnosed with asthma, which limits how active I can be. It’s hard to see all my friends being able to play outside for hours, when I am unable to do so. I never give up though, because I still try to be active wherever I can. I have been in Scouting since I was in Kindergarten, and I have recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. I’ve learned that even though there may be obstacles in life, you cannot let them get to you, and you must persevere over them. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

My friends have also helped me with my decision. They persuaded me to try harder math classes in school to see if I could handle the extra difficulty. Math classes are usually easy for me, but when I decided to take harder classes in high school, I really liked the challenge that the teachers offered. Many people use money as a deciding factor in choosing a career, but for me, it is just an added bonus. I am so excited to be able to do something I love for the rest of my life, because “you never really work a day in your life if you are having fun.” I also chose this career path, because I want to contribute something big for society that will last well after I am gone. I want to be able to build homes for generations of families to make memories in. I want the people who buy my homes to be satisfied and want to pass their house down to their kids for them to enjoy. I want my homes to be safe and affordable so any family can enjoy the houses that I build. My builds will benefit society, because I will also build commercial buildings like grocery stores and factories. I want to bring something to the world that will benefit everyone in some way. There is not just one thing about math that makes it my favorite subject in school. I love math, because it has so much to offer. The other subjects reach a point where there is nothing more to learn, but math never stops giving us new things to learn. Now that I am a senior, I have learned almost everything there is to learn in English and History class other than getting a more detailed look into them. On the other hand, math and science still have much to offer. Even though I like math and science very much, math easily comes in first place. Working with numbers and variables challenges my mind and allows me to grow as a person. As I move on from High School to college, I hope to learn even more math. Throughout my years in school, my math classes usually have been easy for me, but when I decided to take harder classes in high school, I really liked the challenge that the teachers offered. From then on, I wanted to challenge myself even more and get as good as I can at math. I have never really liked to read books, and I am not really good at public speaking. Unlike the other subjects, math does not involve these very much, so it is one of the reasons why I love math so much. I want to learn everything there is to learn with math, and I never want to stop using math. I love math so much that I have decided to pursue a career in it. I know I also want to have a little bit of science and have the ability to use my creativity, so I was able to narrow my career choice down to just one. I am going to go to college and complete a five-year program where one of those years will be spent abroad. I am going to complete a degree in Architecture, because I want to become a licensed Architect. I know that I will also have to pass a large test to get my license, which I am sure will have a lot of math on it. I will work with math all the way up to when I die, and I will never stop loving it along the way. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.
Ruthie Brown Scholarship
At first, I had no idea how I was going to pay for college. I received many different tips on how to solve this problem, and I got overwhelmed very quickly. I eventually was able to figure it all out, but maybe this essay can help others not have to go through the same experience as I did. I have learned many things when it comes to applying for scholarships. There are many different kinds of scholarships out there to apply to. Some are more difficult to complete than others, and they have a wide range of amounts that you could win. So far in my experience of applying for scholarships, I have picked up on some good strategies to apply to as many scholarships as possible without getting too overwhelmed and wanting to quit. First of all, one of the most important things to think about when applying for scholarships is to find ones that have a topic that you are passionate about. Some scholarships require you to write a lot of words, so it is good to find scholarships that are about things that you have a lot to talk about. This way you will not have to think as much when you are writing essays for various scholarships. Another thing is that you want to start applying for scholarships as early as possible. Many of the scholarships that are out there require you to be a Senior in High School or already attending college, but there are a few out there that can be completed before you’re a Senior. When the time comes when you should start applying for college, you will have some scholarship money to get you started. Even though essay scholarships are the best ones to do to get a better chance of winning, I learned that non-essay scholarships are just as important. They are a lot easier to complete but you have less of a chance to win as so many other people are also applying to those same scholarships. You should not focus too much on non-essay scholarships, because it is a lot harder to win them. Although non-essay scholarships are not good on their own, It is good to apply to a few each day on top of your one essay scholarship to maximize your chances of winning scholarship money. It is also important to not skip over the scholarships with smaller amounts, because they have a lot fewer people applying to them, and they also add up really quickly. That being said, you should sometimes prioritize the scholarships that give you a lot more money. These scholarships can have high traffic and can be difficult at times, but you should always try to apply to them. Some of them can even pay for a whole semester of college, so it is crucial that you apply to as many of them as possible. Finally, you should try to stay away from student loans as much as you can. Apply for as many scholarships as possible, as you might be able to win enough money to pay for college, money which you do not have to pay back. On the other hand, student loans are an amount of cash that you will eventually have to pay back with interest. These are the many things that I have learned when applying for scholarships that will help me to lessen my student debt in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

Higher education is important to me for a lot of reasons. Everyone sets goals in life because they want to have a sense of purpose in their life that will live on longer than they ever will. I have these same aspirations, because I want to do something with my life that will have an everlasting impact on the world, and persist long after I am gone. This is why my biggest goal is to graduate from college. I know that college is not the only option to allow us to broaden ourselves, and make the impact that we desire. Everyone has their own personal goals, and a trade school or another opportunity can suit them just as well, maybe even better, than college. I do not want to just create something that will make the world a little bit better, but I want to enjoy life as I am doing it, and college is the only way I can do that. I am going to go to college and complete a five-year program where one of those years will be spent abroad. It can send me into a non-stop sneezing fest, where I can not stop for hours. Most days, my nose is stuffed, and I frequently get sore throats. I have not let these conditions hold me back, and I do not plan to ever let them. I have big dreams, and nothing will get in my way. I am going to go to college and complete a five-year program where one of those years will be spent abroad. I am going to complete a degree in Architecture, and I am going to attend classes to become a licensed Architect. My decision on what I wanted to do for my future career was simple and easy. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

I am going to complete a degree in Architecture, because I want to become a licensed Architect. My decision on what I wanted to do for my future career was simple and easy. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to work in the fields of math and science, since those are my favorite subjects in school. I was not completely sure what exactly to do in those fields, but in high school, I did specifically find calculus and physics to be very interesting. I also have been playing Minecraft and LEGO since I was a young child, and now at the age of seventeen, I still love to play them. When I realized that these activities spark my interest and bring out my creativity, I knew that I needed to find a career that involved similar things to these activities. This is what finalized my career choice as an Architect, because I want to be able to use my creativity to design homes and other buildings for people to enjoy. When I found Architecture, I was so excited, because I had found something where I could be paid to do the one thing I loved to do the most; create. I want to bring something to the world that will benefit everyone in some way, and will leave an everlasting mark that will immortalize me in my work. I feel that this STEM career will allow me to achieve great things, and college is the next big step toward this goal. Science is by far one of the most important subjects in school along with math. English and history may allow us to evolve as a species, but without science, we would be stuck in the medieval stage. Science has given us the resources to better ourselves in ways that were not thought to be possible. No one believed that we would go to the moon, but we did it anyway. No one believed that we could wirelessly transmit signals across the world at the speed of light, but we broke our records time and again. Everything we know and have accomplished has come from science. It has allowed us to work our way up to the top of the food chain. There is no other species on the planet that is more intelligent than us. This is all due to the fact that we question things, and that we are not afraid to go into the unknown. Science has given us the ability to test out limits, and then go far beyond them. So, when you ask why science is important to society, I cannot just give you those reasons. Science is not only important to us, but crucial to the expansion of our minds and the existence of our species. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

Diversity in the workplace is important to me for a lot of reasons. Everyone deserves an equal chance in life to follow their dreams. Companies do not have the right to hire people based on religion or race. I believe that is just plain wrong. No one should be penalized for what they look like or where they came from, but also no one should have an advantage over another either. People are fighting over what race or religion is the superior one when we should be focusing on how we can join together to make the world a better place. What is on the inside is truly what matters, not any of these meaningless labels. The United States of America built its beliefs on the fact that we are one big “melting pot”, where people from all around the world are welcome. No other country can say this about themselves. Everyone here is unique in their own way, and I believe it is wrong to discriminate against anyone for who they are. Diversity will also allow us to get a better understanding of the world and others, and maybe it will give us a better appreciation of the freedoms we have in this country. That is why diversity in the workplace is important to me. Thank you for reading my essay for this scholarship.

Millions of people are pursuing higher education every year to start their journey where one day they will achieve great things. I am going to complete a degree in Architecture, because I want to become a licensed Architect. My decision on what I wanted to do for my future career was simple and easy. I was not completely sure what exactly to do in those fields, but in high school, I did specifically find calculus and physics to be very interesting. When I realized that these activities spark my interest and bring out my creativity, I knew that I needed to find a career that involved similar things to these activities. When I found Architecture, I was so excited, because I had found something where I could be paid to do the one thing I loved to do the most; create. I am so happy that I have found something that will allow me to have a huge impact on my community also while having fun in the process. I want to be able to build homes for generations of families to make memories in. I want the people who buy my homes to be satisfied and want to pass their house down to their kids for them to enjoy. I want my homes to be safe and affordable so any family can enjoy the houses that I build. My builds will benefit society, because I will also do commercial buildings like grocery stores and factories. I want to bring something to the world that will benefit everyone in some way and will allow me to live on through my work long after I am gone. My goal is to change the world in a big way, and I believe that college is the first and only step that will get me on this path. When you think about the world we live in, you think about all the wonders that we have achieved. You think about how we have evolved as a species, and how we have progressed over the thousands of years that we have lived on this planet. It is amazing when you see all the different cultures that are around the world, and how we manage to fit them all together. We explored space and invented technologies that people years ago did not even dream of having. Even though we have come a long way, I believe there are still many more changes that we need to make to become an even more perfect society. When you ask me what change I want to see in the world, there’s not just one change to fix our problems, but I do have one in mind that might help fix most of them. The entire world is composed of only seven continents, but there are one hundred and ninety-five countries that reside within them. Every single one of them has its own culture and ideas that sometimes cause conflicts with other countries. Most of them even have their own language and religion. There are many positives about this that make us unique from other species, and it allows us to be whatever we want to be. Sadly, this can also cause major problems. Over the years, there have been hundreds of wars between counties, simply because they do not like each other. One of the biggest instances of this is that there have been two world wars, in which all of the big countries fought for many years over things as small as someone’s opinion of how things should be. Because of the massive cultural differences between some countries, they are all trying to destroy each other, so they can become the dominant influence on the world. One of the more known of these conflicts is the one between the United States of America and Russia. One wants there to be democracy around the world, and the other wants there to be communism around the world. The simple description of this is that each of them wants to shape the world in their image. All of this leads to the change I want for the world. If we had world peace, and I do not mean just laying down our weapons, then there would no longer be the issue of which country is the best. If the entire world came together as one, then it will not only make the world a safer place, but we will be able to progress as a species instead of always trying to knock the other countries down. Other issues will be able to be addressed, like world hunger and health care. We will be able to advance our technology faster than ever before. There is not just one simple answer to why we need this change, because it will fix our problems more than we can ever imagine. I believe there is no better change that can be done than this. If we do not do this change or something similar to it, then I fear that we might go extinct by nuclear war or something even worse. The tension between countries will get so high, that there might be permanent negative effects on our planet. We already pollute our planet too much as is, but I believe that it might get a lot worse if we don’t do something about it soon. I know that I cannot change the entire world by myself, but I believe that every little thing adds up to something bigger that will. I help out in my community whenever I can. I make sure that I am volunteering and doing community service wherever I am able to. I help out in our local soup kitchen, and I volunteer with my local food drive. I know it is not much, but I believe that what I am doing can start something much bigger. The biggest thing that I have done is my Eagle Scout Project for Boy Scouts. It was a decently sized project that helped out my community in a big way. I installed benches, bird boxes, and trashcans along the walking trail that runs next to the small river in my town. With the help of my troop members, I conducted fundraisers to pay for it, and they also helped me to construct it as well. My community means the world to me, and I never plan to stop volunteering for it and others. I hope to be able to broaden my influence in the future. My relationship with my mother will definitely not end anytime soon, and I will always stay in touch with her even after I leave for college. When the time comes to when you should start applying for college, you will have some scholarship money to get you started. I also learned that you should only really do one scholarship a day, so you do not get too overwhelmed and stressed out. This also allows you to let your brain rest, so you never get writer’s block, and you can take more time to write better essays. You will always be ready to sit down and write a new essay each day. It is also important to not skip over the scholarships with smaller amounts, because they have a lot fewer people applying to them, and they also add up really quick. These are the many things that I have learned when applying for scholarships. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

When you ask what it means to be a selfless person, many people think of what they do for others. There are some that do good for others just to be able to brag about being selfless, but I believe that is not the true meaning of selflessness. To be a truly selfless person, you need to be willing to help other people without expecting something in return. I love to help out my community in any way I can. It brings joy to me when I see how much the things that I have done help so many people, especially when I see others join in to help out too. I love to do community service and other volunteer work, not just because it will help me get into college and a job in my future career, but because helping others is the right thing to do. I am always volunteering at our local soup kitchen, because I know that there are people who are less fortunate than me. These people deserve any help they can get, and I believe that it is my duty to give them that help. I am also a huge help in our local food drive, because it is important to allow those who can not help in person to provide something that can help in other ways. That is why I try so hard to make that happen. I joined Boy Scouts, because I wanted to expand my abilities to help others. You have to wait until you earn the previous rank, the rank of Life Scout, before you can start on your project. When I finally became a Life Scout, I quickly began working on my project, because I wanted to do something big for my community. With the help of my troop members, I was able to complete the project that I had been wanting to do for a long time. It was even completely free for my community, as I had done fundraisers to pay for it beforehand. I remember one time I was walking to school when I saw a blind man who had dropped his wallet and he could not find it. I could have taken the wallet, since he wouldn’t have known I was there. Instead, I grabbed it off the ground, and gave it back to him. He told me he wanted to give me a ten-dollar bill, but he accidentally grabbed a one-hundred-dollar bill. Again, I could have taken it, but I told him what he did, and then told him I did not want anything in return. He thanked me, and then began walking home. I was late to school that day, but the experience was worth any discipline I would get. When I look back on that experience, it reminds me how we are not all born with equal opportunities, and that it is our job to help the lives of those who are less fortunate than us just a little bit better. When you ask what someone’s most valuable quality or characteristic is, most people have to look deep into themselves to find what they are looking for. I believe that your most valuable quality or characteristic is the one that is the most visible in your personality. The one that is the first thing people notice about you when you meet them because first impressions are the most important thing when it comes to meeting new people. These valuable qualities and characteristics can be the deciding factor when it comes to getting accepted to a college or job. When I think of this and your original question, I easily go to one character in particular. This one shows more than any other quality or characteristic, and it defines who I am as a person. I believe my most valuable quality is my ability to stay calm in stressful situations. I first discovered this characteristic when I was in middle school. Most kids in my class would struggle with the stress of due dates and tests, and they sometimes allow that to affect their grades. Many of them had to study hard for tests, and even some of them still got less than ideal grades. On the other hand, I never let the stress get to me. I always used good strategies to make sure I always got things done before they were due. In all my years of school, I have never had a missing or late assignment. Everything has always been turned in on time. I also never had to study for any quiz or test that I have taken, and I have kept perfect grades this far. This does not just apply to school. I have been in Cub Scout and then Boy Scout since I was in Kindergarten. The program is similar to school, where you have different ranks with requirements that need to be done to pass on to the next rank. Also like in school, each rank is harder to achieve than the previous rank all the way up to the final rank, which is the rank of Eagle Scout. This is a prestigious rank to get with a lot of hard work and deadlines. You must get this rank before you turn eighteen, or you will lose out on it forever. This task can be very daunting and stressful, and many people do not make it. Most of my troop was barely able to complete everything before they turned eighteen, but everyone noticed how this characteristic made me stand out. Many of the requirements and merit badges came easy to me, and I managed to earn the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of sixteen on top of having the most merit badges out of anyone else in my troop. I have earned a little bit under one hundred merit badges in my scouting career. If this is what this valuable characteristic has achieved for me so far, then I cannot even imagine what I can do in the future. College can be stressful and difficult at times, especially since I am going to be an Architect, which is a hard degree in itself. I believe that with this characteristic, I will be able to complete my studies with little to no problems. Also, when I eventually graduate and I start working as an Architect, there might be challenges and difficulties that I will have to face, but again, I will be able to handle them with ease. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.

I wish I decided to go with them a lot sooner. Ever since that experience I try to volunteer everywhere I can. Looking back, I can not believe that there was a time when I did not like volunteering, because now, I cannot get enough of it. It has made me a completely different person, and this change is definitely for the better. It’s the best thing that has ever happened to me. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.
Our star slowly orbits the supermassive black hole along with the countless other solar systems at the center of our galaxy. The Milky Way galaxy is even within an endless sea of other galaxies. Our universe is infinite, and we have not even scratched the surface of exploring its secrets. Earth may seem extremely large, but it is a tiny speck of dust in the universe in the grand scheme of things. We are the dominant species on this planet, and we take advantage of what we have. Over the thousands of years of our species living on Earth, we have cultivated it to our needs, but we are now beginning to see the consequences. We are growing too large in numbers for the planet to sustain us, and we continue to pollute the environment to the point where the planet will become uninhabitable. It may take another thousand years for that to happen, but if we don’t do something soon, I believe we might reach a point of permanent damage to the planet’s ecosystem. So when you ask if it is important to work better to understand the nature of our universe, I say absolutely yes. Since the universe is infinite, I believe that there must be another planet that is identical to ours, and maybe even multiple. We need to work harder to achieve a viable way to travel long distances in a short amount of time. It literally takes six months to travel to Mars, and it’s the planet that is right next to us. Math and science have always been my favorite subject in school, and I love learning about everything there is to do with space. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay for this scholarship.
Bold Community Activist Scholarship
I love my community. Everyone here is so nice, and we are a very lively town. I am very active in my community, and I am known very well by almost everyone who lives here. I love to do volunteer work and fundraisers to help my town in any way I can. I am a very social person, and I like to talk to all of my neighbors. In the summer I set up a town-wide yard sale for anyone who wants to sell anything they do not need anymore. I love doing this because it brings everyone together, and one person might need something that another person does not need anymore. I also like to attend the board meetings and address any issues that I might be able to do something about. I am always trying to improve my community and make it a better place. The thing I love the most about it is when I see others stepping up to help out in their community too. It brings joy to me that the things I do for my town benefit so many people.
Bold Deep Thinking Scholarship
There are many problems in the world that we are all facing every day, but I believe the biggest problem that we are facing is unemployment. Unemployment is a huge problem, because it causes so many other problems that could have dire consequences. I believe that there are many possible fixes to this problem, but I hope that I can properly share them with you in this essay. One of the biggest causes of this problem is how difficult it is to get an education. Going to college is getting more and more expensive, and many families are not able to afford to pay. Scholarships are a big help, but I believe that there is not enough money for everyone. Student loans can be more of a viable option if we made them have no interest, and that you had a lot longer than six months to start paying them off. This way students will be a lot less stressed out and will be able to get the proper education they need to get a job. I also believe this is only part of it, because there is also a shortage of people for the jobs that do not need a form of higher education. This could be fixed by simply raising teachers' wages, and increasing the funding that schools receive from the government. The extra money would allow schools to create more programs to provide students with information about the different kinds of jobs out there, since many students believe that going to college after high school is the only option. Finally, I believe that programs like Welfare should be fixed or removed, as they provide too much of an incentive to not work. Adding more background checks and forms would make the system work a lot better.
Bold Mentor Scholarship
I love to help others in need. It puts a grin on my face when I see others who are struggling get the help they need. Sometimes it is hard for those who are going through a tough time to get the help they need, so that is why I do everything I can to help them. Many teens have problems at home or other places outside of school on top of their school work, so I try to relieve some of that workload, by helping them with their homework and tutoring them in any subject that they might be struggling in. Some people do this to get a monetary gain out of people who are struggling, but I never ask for anything in return, because I know that is the right thing to do. Sometimes I even stay after school in the library to help students study for tests and exams. The teachers tell me that this is a big help for them, since it frees up their time to do grading and other paperwork. I hope that my mentorship of others will have a positive effect on those I help and the school itself. I also hope that this will get others to step up and help others in need, and maybe it could help raise mental awareness in schools around the world.
Bold Science Matters Scholarship
There are so many scientific discoveries that have changed our way of life for the better, and there are so many more to come. Honestly, my favorite scientific discovery is space in general. The discovery of space opened up so many new possibilities, and widened our curiosity about what could be beyond our planet. Before the discovery of space, we thought that we were the only thing in the universe, and that the sun revolved around our planet. I love to read articles and news about space, because it is always something new and exciting. Space is so much more interesting to me than other scientific discoveries, because there will always be a new thing to discover and the possibilities are endless. I am excited for the day when we will be able to commercially travel to space and colonize other planets. I hope that we find other intelligent life, and that they are friendly towards us. In my opinion, space will always be the most important discovery, because, as we use up all of Earth's resources, we need to find other planets to branch out to. No other scientific discovery will be as useful to the human population as Space.
Bold Financial Literacy Scholarship
In my opinion there are many important finance lessons out there, because sometimes it takes multiple different financial strategies to secure your personal finances. I believe it is impossible to pick just one lesson to be the most important, so I am going to go with the one that is most useful and crucial to my college and career plans. College is expensive, especially for the degree that I am pursuing, Architecture. In my research of applying to colleges, I came across a very important lesson, in which I am very grateful that I found it. I was planning to apply to student loans to pay for college, but thankfully I found out that I will be left with over one hundred thousand dollars in debt even if I do not graduate. I realized that it was a horrible idea, and that scholarships, even though they are harder to complete, are worth it, because they are money that I do not need to pay back. This is probably the most important financial lesson that I have received.
Bold Financial Freedom Scholarship
My parents have taught me many thing about having secure finances. They showed me how to pay my taxes, and how to write a check. They taught me how to pay bills, and shop at stores. With all this important financial advice that I have received, probably the most important financial advice I received was to do as many scholarships as possible, because it is money that I will never have to pay back. Doing scholarships may be stressful and time consuming, but they will be worth it in the long run when you come out of college with no or little to no debt. Applying for student loans should be the last resort, because you will come out of college with one hundred thousand dollars in debt that you will be expected to start paying off six months after you graduate. This also applies if you do not actually graduate, so you will be left with huge amounts of debt with nothing to show for it. The worst part is that not many students know about this, and sometimes are forced into applying for student loans. Only after they see the large amount of debt do they realize the mistake they made. This is a huge problem, and I hope that this essay can help other students who are frustrated about paying for college. I am so lucky to have the parents that I have, because it was the resources that they provided me with that helped me to take care of my financial needs. I hope that other students get the resources they need to make this process way easier for them.
Bold Optimist Scholarship
There have been many obstacles in my path, but I never let them stop me. I always persevere through the tough times in life, because I know that the good times are just around the corner. I know that all the hard work that I am putting in will be worth it, because it will all pay off when I get my dream job as an Architect, and become the successful member of society that I want to be. I will admit that I have not always had this mindset. If it was not for my mother, I would not have gotten to where I am today. She has always been there for me, and kept me on track when I started to veer off. My mother is the main reason that I have my life figured out, and that I know that everything is going to work out as long as I put the work in now. She has provided me with the tools and resources to secure my future as a college student and as an Architect. My mother is the reason that I always stay optimistic through tough times, because she not only helps me through them, but also is right there with me.
Bold Goals Scholarship
My goal for the future is to become an Architect. I am going to go to college where I will complete a five year program. One of those years I will travel abroad to Rome, Italy, where I will study the wonderous pieces of Architecture they have to offer. I knew from the very beginning that I wanted to have a career in the math and sciences field, since I am very good at them. I love to build with Lego and K'nex, since it brings out my creativity. I also love to build in a game called Minecraft, because it allows my creativity to prosper in an endless world of possibilities. This game had the largest influence on me and is what helped to to figure out what I want to do for my dream job. My goals are all laid out and straight forward, and I know if I keep working hard, then I will achieve them and much more.
Bold Caring for Seniors Scholarship
I live in a small community that is mostly made up of elderly people. I have been in Cub Scouts and Boy Scout since I was in kindergarten, and I love to volunteer and help people in need. When it came time to decide on what my Eagle Scout Project was going to be, it was not that difficult to figure out what I wanted to do. In my town, the council built a walking path along our local river, but since they were tight on cash, I decided I wanted to do something that can benefit my town and the elderly people living here. When I first went to them to ask if I was allowed to go through with my plan, they had no idea of the extent I was going to go to for this project. They were especially shocked when I told them it was going to be at no cost to them. I constructed five benches along the path so that people can sit and take a break, all while enjoying nature. I also added a birdbox close to each bench so that people can watch the birds and the river as they rest. Since the river was cleaned out and stocked with fish, I installed trash cans, as many people like to fish and hang out there now. This is one of the many things I have done to improve my town and the lives of the elderly people who live here.
Bold Learning and Changing Scholarship
I believe that life is about making mistakes and learning from them. I have made many mistakes in my life, but I never let them get the best of me. I persevered through them and learned to do better at the task at hand. One of the most significant things in my life is my scouting career. At first I did not realize its significance, until I was much older. I began to notice how the skills I learned were actually being used in real life scenarios, and that they were very useful. I completed as many merit badges as I could, because I also realized that each one has a very important skill that will help me to better prepare myself as I enter adulthood. These merit badges also helped me to find my passion, and helped me to decide on the career I am pursuing. One skill in particular, leadership, will be most important when I attend college, and eventually become an Architect. I learned and developed this valuable skill when I conducted and completed my Eagle Scout Project. The things that I have learned throughout my scouting career have completely altered my perspective on scouting for the better.
Bold Meaning of Life Scholarship
I believe that the meaning of life is a simple one, but hard to figure out. To me, the meaning of life is happiness, and I work hard every day to achieve it. My father tells me every day that he wishes that he would have worked harder in school, because he is paying the price now. He has to work hard every day to make money that does not seem to be worth the effort, and he does not seem to be happy. That is what motivates me to work hard in school, get good grades, and go to college, because if I put the effort in now I will get the dream job, and I will be happy. That is the meaning of life that everyone strives to get, but there are many obstacles in the way, so only the most determined ones will make it. I believe that this is worth the work that it takes to achieve it.
Bold Talent Scholarship
One of my most favorite talent it chess. I love to play chess with my friends, and especially with my father. He was the one who taught me how to play when I was only eight years old. My dad and I would always play a game or two when he got home from work. Even though he denies it, he would always go easy on me. Over the years of playing he is no longer able to beat me, but I still love to play with him him every now and then. I am also in the chess club that my high school offers. My friend and I play eachother and practice our skill every week when we meet, and then we would go to a chess tournament that schools around my county would host. With all of the hard work and practice I managed to get 2nd place in my entire county. I do not plan to stop there and i hope that I can continue to play chess in college.
Bold Reflection Scholarship
I like to say that I get pretty good grades in school. I love to do Math and Science, but not much of English and History. I am also in Boy Scouts of America. I have worked long and hard to achieve the highest rank within the organization, Eagle Scout. I also have achieved 94 merit badges, which is a hard thing to do. I have been inducted into the Order of the Arrow, which is an organization within Boy Scouts of America that is all about cheerful service. All of these things have shaped me into the person I am today, and will shape me into the person I will become. I am going to go to a four year college where I will get a degree in Architecture. With this degree I hope to design and build homes for people to live in. Homes where families can make many memories in.
Learner.com Algebra Scholarship
In my opinion math is a very important subject. It is used in almost every career out there. Me personally, I like math very much, because it challenges my brain in a way that helps me become a better person. I love to learn all the new formulas and graph many new shapes. I am not an English person, and I don't read very many books, but I love to do math problems. I am going to go to college to become an Architect, which is going to have alot an calculus and physics. I can wait for the challenge.
Bold Career Goals Scholarship
My dream is to become an Architectural Drafter. I am going to go to college for four years to get a degree, and hopefully this scholarship will help me with that. I want to design buildings for people to live in. I got interest with this career when I discovered my fascination in building design. The videogame, Minecraft, helped to discover this part of me. Most people my age have not figured out what they want to do for their future career, but I am certain that I will be an Architectural Drafter. I want to be able to make people happy, and provide them a place to make memories in with their families. A place that generations can grow up in. That kind of stuff motivates me to pursue this career. It will also motivate me to be the best I can be and excel in college and in my career.
Bold Legacy Scholarship
I want my legacy to be big. I want my kids to look up to me, and for them to tell stories about me to their kids. I want to go to college and get a degree in Architecture. I want to design building for people to live in. That is going to be my legacy. The building I design will be there for many years after I am gone, so that will be what people see of me. The building I will design will bring happiness and purpose to those who build it and live in it. Part of having a legacy is having a purpose while you are still alive, so my legacy will allow so many other legacies to form. The scholarships that I am applying to will also help me fulfill my legacy. These scholarships may be small, but I know that enough of them will build up and I will got to the college of my dreams and get my degree. Most others my age have not figured out yet what their legacy will be.
Bold Relaxation Scholarship
There are so many thing these days that harm teens' mental health. Social media is one of the most harmful things for teens' mental health. This is one of the reasons I limit the time on Social media. There are so many things that alter teens' minds, and make them think about themselves is negative ways. These things just add more stress to life on top of what is already there. For me, I love to play video games when I come home from a stressful day od school, especially Minecraft. This game in particular is such a good stress reliever. It helps me relax by giving me a place to go to get away from the stressful things in life. I can just build and have fun without worrying about Social media or other harmful thing to your social media. This is what I do to relax and take care of my mental health.
Bold Hobbies Scholarship
One of my favorite things do do is play video games. I know it sounds cleche, but it honestly is a good stress reliever. Every day when I come home from school, I do my homework and go right to my X-box. One of my favorite games to play is Minecraft, because it helps be build my creativity skills, and have fun at the same time. On the weekends, I can be on my X-box for hours when I desging something new to build. I play tons of other games like Slime Rancher and Stardew Valley, which all help me relax after a long hard day of school. Some games, but not all, can probably good skills that can help you in the future when you are applying yourself to a job, so it's not all bad to be a gammer. These skills can be beneficial to you in your future job.
Lo Easton's “Wrong Answers Only” Scholarship
1. I deserve this scholarship be I am "entitled" to it.
2. I plan to go to a college with your money and get a degree.
3. It was hard for me to answer these questions, but I did it anyway.
Bold Simple Pleasures Scholarship
Honestly for me just spending time with my cat makes me happy. When I come home from school, I always immediately go to see my cat. I love to watch TV with him sitting in my lap. Another thing I love to do is listen to music when I do my homework. Often times also with my cat siting next to me.
