My high school demographic is 98% white staff and students, which makes me part of the 2% of biopic students. I am underserved because there were few resources for being a minority in a single-mom household. For example, I went to my counselor asking about steps I needed to start implementing if I wanted to go to an HBCU after I graduated, and I was still waiting for an accurate response to get a tour and get my GPA up.
So, I took it upon myself to research and found a dual enrollment program. It's a program where you can take college credits for free and get high school and college credits. After doing some more research on my major, I began to notice a pattern that most nursing programs require a lot of prerequires that my high school doesn't offer, so I decided I wanted to take dual enrollment and that this program would help me get a running start on my general education classes.
Finally, after advocating for myself and going back and forth with my counselor, I will be taking dual enrollment classes this fall quarter. By winning a scholarship, I will use it to pay for credits and fees the state doesn't cover. This experience taught me to be more determined, stand up for myself, and never take anything at face value.
This year, I will be doing the CNA program to get certified. As an aspiring nurse, achieving any scholarship would enable me to focus wholeheartedly on my studies and excel in my journey to become an RN and earn my BSN degree. This support would uplift my future and empower me to contribute positively to society as a dedicated healthcare professional.

Manuela Calles Scholarship for Women
I firmly believe in education for all, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or financial status. Education is a powerful tool that can unlock one's potential and pave the way for a brighter future. I am passionate about advocating for women's education equity issues and ensuring students can access quality education resources.
I noticed few in-depth detailed resources when my mom became a single mom. I updated advice that would be easily accessible to low-income students, tutoring and mentoring, college advice on applying for scholarships step-by-step, etc. This affected my education because I was disadvantaged regarding financial literacy scholarship applications and college readiness because of my family's financial situation. This was particularly true for low-income students who needed help to afford the high costs associated with traditional study resources. To address this issue, I created study fanatics. It is a study group chat that offers free tutoring, mentoring, and answers to students' questions.
Through Study Fanatics, I am proud to offer a platform that breaks down the financial barrier for students needing help with their studies. I aim to provide equal opportunities for every student, regardless of their financial situation. Everyone should have access to the resources they need to succeed, and I am committed to making that a reality.
By empowering students and helping them confidently achieve their academic goals, I believe we can create a brighter future for everyone. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that education is accessible to all. If you or someone you know requires academic assistance, don't hesitate to contact Study Fanatics. We are here to help and support you every step of the way. Education is a fundamental right that every student deserves. I am committed to ensuring all students receive the necessary support to succeed.
In conclusion, my unwavering commitment to advocating for education equity and providing academic assistance to needy students will positively impact the world. With this scholarship's invaluable support, I will expand the reach of Study Fanatics and give even more students the tools and resources they require to succeed. Empowering students and creating a brighter future for all is my unwavering belief.
My core values are access to education resources for all, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or financial status. You are passionate about advocating for women's education equity issues and ensuring that students can access quality education resources. Additionally, you value the importance of providing academic assistance to needy students, breaking down financial barriers, and empowering students to confidently achieve their academic goals.
These values can inform the work you do in business can apply these values to create programs or initiatives that promote education and support for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. You can also use your platform to advocate for education equity and raise awareness about the importance of providing equal opportunities for all students.
Overall, your values can serve as a guiding force in your professional endeavors, helping you to make a positive impact in your community and promote the values that you hold dear.
Wild Scholarship
I'm a watercolor and acrylic artist based in WA State. The nature around me is my inspiration; I'm blessed to live on a beautiful island far away from Seattle, with many benches and scenery. Even though I do, I print landscapes every now and of what I see. My work is primarily abstract; up to the viewer's inspiration, one may see a frog or a tree. I always do a lot of art based on real-world issues and my opinion on them through an artic point of view. As a young black lady, I couldn't find any clothing or accessories that spoke to me or my ethnicity that showed love and appertained others different from you, so I created an apparel line that did just that. My products consist of my creative designs, inspiring quotes that come to mind, and photography and art prints. To empower and unify us.
My dream would be to create jobs for inspiring BIPOC in the business field like me through my company. I don't know my exact major yet, but I am into marketing, computer science, African Studies, and Graphic design. Once I found a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship, I first did my marketing research kinds of businesses there and what would suit me best. I paired my jewelry-making skills, watercolor color, and graphic design abilities and came up with my company M&H Designs. Seeing that I am still a high school, I only do jewelry at markets because it's more demanding, but I sell everything online.
Art has always been a way for me to express myself in both good & bad times. I love to write poetry, paint, make jewelry learn something new about marketing every day, volunteer, and try new things outside my comfort zone.
My long-term goal is to create generational wealth within my family and continue my mom's lacey of being a first-generation college student. I started my own E-commerce company when I was 14 years old and haven't stopped driving more profoundly, not just with the fundamentals of business but the operations and the background work done to succeed. I would make a great candidate because I have a passion, dedication, and the girt you need in college. Help me take my curiosity to the next level with higher education and do so, and I need financial assistance to achieve my goal. I plan to create many cool NFTs and merch to inspire the younger generation and bring unity through my company. Never lose sight of the artist within me and my bigger purpose and plans.
Lotus Scholarship
Growing up in a single-parent household taught me the importance of hard work, determination, and giving back to the community. My experiences have shaped my values and my life's trajectory, leading me to pursue a career in nursing. My mother's journey to the U.S. has been a source of inspiration, demonstrating that anything is achievable with hard work and dedication.
As an aspiring nurse, my goal is to help others heal both physically and mentally. I want to change the perception of how the BIPOC community views the healthcare industry and make a positive impact on my community and the world. Obtaining my BSN and RN license is my ultimate goal, and I am taking smaller steps such as obtaining my CNA license and enrolling in a pre-nursing associate degree program to achieve it.
My journey to becoming a nurse started young. I was always fascinated by the human body and how it works. I also had a passion for helping people and making a positive impact on their lives. When I was in high school, I volunteered at a local hospital and shadowed nurses in different departments. This experience solidified my desire to become a nurse. I knew that I wanted to help people heal and make a difference in their lives.
I am currently enrolled in a pre-nursing associate degree as a dual enrollment student During this time, I also want to obtain my CNA license. This experience allowed me to see firsthand the challenges that nurses face and the impact that they make on their patients' lives. In addition to my academic and professional pursuits, I have also been giving back to my community. I became first aid certified and started volunteering at a local community pop-up clinic. I assisted with vitals and helped patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visit. This experience was both humbling and rewarding. It reminded me of why I wanted to become a nurse in the first place: to help people heal and make a positive impact on their lives.
Despite my hard work and dedication, I have faced many challenges along the way. One of the biggest challenges has been financial. Nursing school is expensive, and there are many hidden costs that dual enrollment does not cover. For example, I need to purchase a stethoscope, scrubs, and other supplies. I also need to pay for transportation to and from clinical sites. These costs add up quickly and can be a barrier to completing my degree on time.
That is why I am applying for the Lotus Scholarship. This scholarship would help me cover these additional costs and enable me to complete my degree on time. By receiving this scholarship, I will be able to pursue my dreams without the burden of financial stress. I will be able to focus on my studies and clinical rotations, knowing that I have the support of the Lotus Scholarship behind me.
In conclusion, my life experiences have taught me the value of perseverance and the importance of pursuing my passions while helping others. My mother's journey has inspired me to believe that anything is possible with hard work and dedication. With the help of the Lotus Scholarship, I will be able to achieve my academic goals and bring about positive change in the world. I am committed to becoming a nurse and making a difference in my community and the world. Thank you for considering my application for the Lotus Scholarship.

Elevate Women in Technology Scholarship
Biology has perked my interest this year in Ap Biology, but the topic of radiation has drawn me to my love for technology. It's portrayed as a "bad thing" sometimes within the chemistry because it can damage DNA cells when used for something good like the treatment of cancer At high doses. Still, radiation therapy also kills cancer cells or slows their growth by damaging DNA cells. It's so cool how potential energy co-excess within the universe. But the idea that something like radiation can be used to treat lives is my favorite part about technology discovering something and then the process of experimental design to see how to use the data found to solve real-world problems within technology and medicine.
Different types of technology can be changed for the betterment of the world. Technology at its finest can enhance the world in many ways. Make human tasks easy, produce ways to connect with loved ones and friends and network with others and make new connections, create/get one step closer to cure, and provide treatments to help slow the rate of illness. Making it more accessible for more people from all walks of life to technology has hesitancy to be very expensive more matter in what form, from phones to cars. And the people at the top of the pyramid have more opportunities to advance through technology. This is more significant than the specific problem within the technology industry has a lot to do with greediness. Still, to change, you must look at intersectionality and why and how some have more access than others. Still, together, we can get there one step at a time. I deserve the Elevate Women in Technology Scholarship because I am not in the STEM industry to graduate and get a job; my mindset is generational; therefore, my action will lessen the gender and race gap in STEM and build generational wealth. Thus, the generation after me can stive with the opportunities that otherwise wouldn't be given to them because of their intersectionality regarding women in technology.
Ruthie Brown Scholarship
I am working around the clock to terminate my future student debt. All tho it's been hard very anitexy but I have been pushing through and not telling be me just a softmore has a issure to not apply/think about colloge and scolorships.Hopefully, putting be in a better position after completing my bachelor's to bring generational wealth to my family so that not only have I been a fit, but my doing can one day have a domino effect on other generations. In addition, I am also currently helping my BIPOC students at my local high school do so. My action plan in doing so has been improving my knowledge of financial literacy, mainly because this isn't taught in most black communities in school. Through this research, I am currently studying the Disparities of African Americans regarding Financial Literacy and some of the roadblocks in place for BICPOC when it comes to Higher Education. With that; I found that financial literacy is essential,,,, yes! Learning and educating yourself and others within the BIPOC community increase percentages for success, but America is a paper-pen society. Without well-documented calculated steps, you wouldn't be able to achieve your goals. Ways I am helping slowly dismantle the racial wealth gap in my community. Talking to BIPOC students in my high school and shared tips about how I start my small business. How they too can create their own company. How to get scholarships, the different types of scholarships, and any advice or resources I do have, I help share so that they do have a fighting chance of higher education and are as close to debt free as possible.
What drives me and fuels my passion for financial literacy and looking at and being able to my debt free after my education are two powerful accepts. It would be my mother's vision and determination and learning about the statistics behind how many black students actually are pretty discouraging and extremely low. From that meager amount, only about 45.9% pursue higher education, and one reason is that it's too expensive. That should be a reason not to be able to go to college. Through my research, I discovered patterns of one person in a family where it is an older brother or sister, maybe even mom drops out, and then that individual is more likely to or does follow the same pattern. My mother is a first-generation student and obtained a full-ride athlete scholarship to Idaho University in track and field. Seeing it was not only it was possible not achieve able to be debt free after high school. I hope to get a full ride or pay my tuition.
