Well, to start, I think I was just born with an entrepreneurial spirit. I am the youngest of three brothers who are both entrepreneurs, one created the sneaker platform, Sneakheat, and the other started the mental health firm HYPE Consulting. And My mom formed the DEI firm Path Forward Consulting. So, if I were to take a guess, those four people right there are my inspiration. At the age of thirteen, my teammate and I created a sneaker reselling platform that generated thousands of dollars in revenue (@m_t_sneaks). We attended countless sneaker events like SneakerCon, SneakerMania, Solexchange, etc., and made many deals there. However, we didn't stop there; I created our official Instagram page, where about half of our revenue came in business cards and even deals with family/friends around the country. It was a dream come true. And now, At just eighteen years old, I have created my second company, WeTrain. Sports have been a part of my life since I can even remember. Both of my older brothers were Division 1 athletes in soccer and football, and my community bred freak athletes in all sports. I grew up playing football for nine years, and unfortunately, I was forced to quit playing by my mom due to me suffering a life-threatening asthma attack at the age of 12. However, I love sports too much to have stopped there. My best friend played football and lacrosse, but I was unfamiliar with the sport of lacrosse. After countless sleepovers, he introduced me to the game of lacrosse, and I fell in love. I played recreation lacrosse my first year and was named an all-star; I even scored three goals in the all-star game. After that moment, the rest was history. I started playing club/travel and just took off completely. In 2018, my high school team and I won the Maryland 2A State Championship, which was one of my life's best moments. Afterward, I was recruited by IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, to play lacrosse and graduated in 2020. I went through the recruiting process and committed to play lacrosse at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. In August 2021, the beginning of my sophomore year of college, I discussed the new NIL rule with my mom on how NCAA athletes can now get paid. My mom is also an entrepreneur, so we always brainstorm entrepreneurial ideas, and I told her I wanted to create a platform for all NCAA athletes to make money, not just the popular ones. And that is when WeTrain was born. WeTrain is the authentic mobile app for K-12 and NCAA student-athletes launching in August 2022. WeTrain matches (local) K-12 and NCAA student-athletes together to complete one-on-one training sessions, sit-down mentor sessions, group sessions with their friends, and events around the country. I also aim to introduce WeTrain Academy, WeTrain Gear, and WeTrain Facilities sometime soon. NCAA athletes pay a $9.99/month subscription fee to gain access/be accessible on the app ($7.99/month if paid annually). ESPN West Palm Beach has agreed to do a story on me and the app, plus I have completed meetings with Adidas, New Balance, Athleta, and Therabody to discuss gear sponsorship/partnership. I am passionate about WeTrain because I was an NCAA athlete, so I understand that "broke college kids" are real. I have also trained kids for three years, so I know parents value college athlete training. I also just genuinely think entrepreneurship is a thing of beauty, even when it can get tricky.
