Hi there!
I’m Matthew Clarke from Kingsland, GA. As a young man in the Spectrum (ASD), I’ve faced challenges throughout my entire life and college was not always an option. I started my education as a full time Special Ed student, with the help of my family, many therapies and much discipline, I was able to transition into traditional classrooms and by the time I reached High School, I was able to successfully complete STEM Dual Enrollment and graduated Cum Laude alongside peers my age. I've always been an avid reader, starting to reading college books around middle school and have always been fascinated by military aircrafts and ships. I enjoyed collecting knowledge, facts and gaining a deeper understanding of things. I intend to utilize my passion for math and applied science to give me practical skills in the real world, use these abilities to create solutions for problems, innovate and improve on current technologies.
My immediate future includes studying Electrical Engineering at Jacksonville University in preparation for a career in the Aerospace field and build myself a successful life as the first member of my immediate family to attend college. I am choosing to get a college education because through education, I learned I can exist in spaces outside of the boundaries set by society.
