My ultimate goal is to get into PA school and work as a dermatologist. I’m currently working as an EMT along side a RN, RT, and MD for neonatal and pediatric transports across California. I would be a great candidate because regardless of where I stand I will always find a way to continue pursuing you the things I love

The reason I work as an EMT is because of a personal experience that I’ve had. I moved from Moldova to the United States in 2003 with a big family of 13. The day it happened made me realize why I love the medical field and working as an EMT was a big dream of mine. My mother has not been too healthy her whole life. Constant in and out of visits in the hospital for her gallbladder, kidney stones, and so on. That night it had gotten worse than before. She couldn’t sleep certain nights due to the pain. She also didn’t have a license to drive and my father was at work at that time so as me being her only option I called the the fire services in hopes of having her treated. Of course at that time I knew nothing of how it worked. As the medics walked in I noticed the gurney, BLS and ALS bag brought in, multiple men with one goal in mind and that was make sure the patient is being treated with the needs they have and the needs they deserve. Seeing how they treated my mother in that time of pain I knew I wanted to be like them. In 2018 I recieved my emt licenses and started work in 2019 for FALCKNC for one year. The company closed but for the last 6 month of me working there I jumped on the NICU/PICU unit. I knew I loved kids and being able to treat them, comfort them, and make sure that in that time of pain there will be someone there for them. After the company closed I heard of another company that had that same unit and had the same contract with the hospital I was at. I joined NorCal ambulance in 2020 and still work there till this day. As soon as I got through my probation I hopped on the nicu/picu unit and made sure I was back where I belong. Till this day becoming an EMT was the best choice I’ve made. It brought me new experiences and gave me even more reasons to love the field. On another note waking up at 3 am after a long day for a call sucks. But knowing that there is someone out there in need of our assistance it reminds me that it is not about me but about the person that need the help. Just like my mother needing assistance at an unreasonable hour they need help as well

Based on personal experience the social norms of the gaming community is frowned upon. There are thousands of games that help boost a person’s confidence, self esteem, and outlook on everyday life. Through personal experience I myself am less shy due to communicating with online friends and new people. It forces me to speak up to people I've never met which can then be applied to everyday life when I am in the general public. Another way the gaming community has helped my self esteem is by boosting my confidence. Certain times I felt like I am not good enough for myself nor my peers around me. But low and behold someone ive never met before spot good things about me and helped build me up. Now of course there are other people that do the complete opposite which would break someone down but for my case that was not the case. It helped my step out of my comfort zone and do things I’ve never saw myself doing. Never In my life have I expected to be on an ambulance being the primary care and transport for someone who is in need. A job that required all the things I was lacking. Communication, empathy, social skills, and being comfortable with being uncomfortable. Little did I know I would love the medical field due to video games. Everyday I go into work I can’t help but thing about how the gaming community helped shape me. It also increased my physical and mental game when it came to sports. Performing under pressure in a video game has boosted my hand to eye coordination, and quick thinking skills. When it came to playing soccer and volleyball a game is dependent on someone’s mental ability. To not lose hope when we are down by two, four, or even eight points. As time went on I seen that my volleyball skills were increasing drastically due to my hand-eye coordination. Faster movements when the opposing team made a play and with quicker deductions playing a huge role I knew where and when to move on the field. At the end of the day, the gaming community is looked down on when in reality it helps people in different aspects. It helps them gain confidence, communication skills to socialize with their peers, and most of all they gain the ability to feel like a normal human being without being judged that they play video games.
