Bio

My name is Maria and I am 24 years old. I am proud to say that I'm the first generation in my Hispanic family to go to college! I am the youngest of my 7 siblings. My life goal is to be successful. I wish to be a Doctor with a specialty in oral surgery; lately, I have decided to major in Dental Hygiene. I am currently a Dental Assistant with Pacific Dental Services. I've been practicing for 5 years. I started my career as a dental assistant to get a feel for the field. I immediately knew that I was in the correct field. Towards the end of my DA program, I did my externship at the office I am at now. Throughout the five years that I have been a DA, I've also worked on my prerequisites for Dental Hygiene at Estrella Mountain Community College. I applied for the Dental Hygiene program at the Carrington College-Mesa location and got accepted. I am now applying for scholarships to help pay for tuition. I am putting forth everything in me, like I have been doing to make my dream come true. There is no doubt in my mind I deserve the scholarships that may be in store for me. I am finally at the home stretch of my career and I couldn't be more excited to share it with Blog.org. Whoo trying to catch my breath after all that. You may be questioning where does this girl get all her BOLDNESS from. If you haven't, I invite you too now! I am a mother to two sweet loving boys. I have had some rough times and there is more to come, I get that, but I am a BOLD MOMMA. I will never stop fighting to give them the world. They're my motivation, my reason to live. Thank you for reading.

Little Bundle Supermom Scholarship — College Award
I am currently struggling to juggle school and caring for two little boys. I work a full-time job and I am also getting classes done for the dental hygiene program which I have been accepted to. Every day before work I wake up at 4 am to get school work done, at least as much as I can. I wake up my boys and get them ready for daycare and then get myself ready. My boys motivate me to finish, so I can give them a better life and they don't have to experience the whole living day by day life. The most challenging part, and ooomygosh I am fighting the tears while I write this, Is when my three years old begs me to get something he craves from the store and knowing I can not get it for him cause those three dollars will put us over budget and won't be able to get rent paid. even though he is only three he understands so much. My youngest boy is 3 months old. sometimes he will wake up when I wake up super early to get school work done and I have to dedicate time to him. With all the challenges I am still part of the national honor society. just goes to show how dedicated I am to my dream for my boys.

As a single mother of two little boys, I struggle. I struggle in every aspect. There are days where I have to grab my littles put them in the car and just go for a drive, that's the only way they will calm down sometimes. when they go to sleep I park the car and I just cry. My mental heal has influenced my goals so much. I still get up every day to make sure my kids are good, take them to daycare, get to work and keep moving. I do it all for them.
    Scholarcash Role Model Scholarship
There has never been a time where I have looked at my father and thought to myself that he wasn't my superhero. Since I was younger my big old man has been my biggest supporter. He has shaped me into the person I am, inside and out. No matter how many times I may have misbehaved as a rebellious teen he stood high and proud for me. Little details like that have never left my mind. It has shaped me into the person I am today because it made me realize that no matter what happens I have that special someone who believes in me through the good and the ugly. My father is my biggest role model. He has helped me become the self-driven, ambitious, strong-minded adult that I am today. I have no fear of jumping into my dream job and taking all the rest because he reassures me I can in fact do it.
