My name is Maria and I am 24 years old. I am proud to say that I'm the first generation in my Hispanic family to go to college! I am the youngest of my 7 siblings. My life goal is to be successful. I wish to be a Doctor with a specialty in oral surgery; lately, I have decided to major in Dental Hygiene. I am currently a Dental Assistant with Pacific Dental Services. I've been practicing for 5 years. I started my career as a dental assistant to get a feel for the field. I immediately knew that I was in the correct field. Towards the end of my DA program, I did my externship at the office I am at now. Throughout the five years that I have been a DA, I've also worked on my prerequisites for Dental Hygiene at Estrella Mountain Community College. I applied for the Dental Hygiene program at the Carrington College-Mesa location and got accepted. I am now applying for scholarships to help pay for tuition. I am putting forth everything in me, like I have been doing to make my dream come true. There is no doubt in my mind I deserve the scholarships that may be in store for me. I am finally at the home stretch of my career and I couldn't be more excited to share it with Blog.org. Whoo trying to catch my breath after all that. I have had some rough times and there is more to come, I get that, but I am a BOLD MOMMA. I will never stop fighting to give them the world. They're my motivation, my reason to live.
